...CHAPTRE 2...

...BYE BYE JULIAN'S...

"you want to bring this bag?"

Julian raised his eyebrows when Rosaline asked for the bag she had worn the first time she came to the Vreaa family home in Indonesia. He thrust the blue-colored backpack with yellow stripes at Rosaline.

"Yes. Thank you, Julian," she smiled sweetly.

Julian nodded and sat himself on the floor watching the twin brothers stuffing their belongings into the suitcase.

"Why do you want to bring that bag? The bag is shabby and may soon break up" Julian said. He glanced towards the wall clock that showed at half-seven p.m. There's still plenty of time for them to go to the shopping mall right now.

"We better buy a new one" he said.

When Julian tried to take his bag from Rosaline, the girl brushed him off. He shook his head quickly not allowing the man to take his bag back.

"It's still good, Julian. Look," Rosaline points out that each of the bags looks fine, "you've been taking good care of it all the time, which might have been a sudden break-up."

Finally, after a long argument, Julian let the girl carry her bag and put some of his things in there.

What the girl said has a point. He took good care of the bag. He kept it in the closet after wrapping it in a very thick plastic layer.

"And why do you suddenly want to bring my sweater too?" He turned to look at Reagan, now rummaging through his closet, looking for the sweater he wanted to bring to England.

"I have too little and you have a lot of sweaters."

"I can buy you a new one. No need to wear mine," he was a little upset, why did the two twin boys suddenly want to bring their belongings to England.

"You just bought new. I am lazy to be in the crowd especially with you. We could suddenly roll out fansign, not buy a sweater."

Hearing the words of his foster son just now, Julian only chuckled a little. "Tell me if you're jealous of your foster father's good looks" he said arrogantly. The sneaky grin on his face had never changed since the past decade.

Reagan screeched, "as if I'm envy with that," he exclaimed with a twist of his lazy eye.

He took five Julian sweaters from his closet and stuffed them in a suitcase, while Julian. He could only smile after seeing the boy pick up his five sweaters at once, moreover the boy chose his beloved sweater.

"My lovely sweater," She saddens.

After packing up, Rosaline and Reagan went straight to the kitchen, meeting Julian who was preparing to cook dinner.

"Any requests for the dinner?" He asked while wearing an apron.

The two simultaneously shouted the roasted chicken and Julian nodded. A few minutes later, with the help of Rosaline and Reagan, a serving of roasted chicken was served at the dinner table. The three of them sat around the dining table, directly eating the roasted chicken.

"As long as you're in England, you can stay here."

Rosaline and Reagan looked towards the piece of paper that Julian was thrusting at the dinner table. Without taking it, the two of them glanced at Julian wondering the meaning of the piece of paper.

"He is my acquaintance. You can trust him" he explained, "and he also has a cafe so you can work there. That way you don't have to pay rent anymore."

Rosaline took a paper containing the address of the acquaintance Julian was referring to and read it before giving it to Reagan, telling him to keep it.

After dinner, Julian did not return to his room as usual. The man went to the balcony of the house with a cigarette in his hand while talking to someone on the phone.

"You know, Julian asked this guy to keep an eye on us."

Rosaline turned her head towards Reagan who was now playing rubik. The man simply handed the paper containing the address of Julian's acquaintance and pointed it at him.

"Why?" Ask.

"Where do I know," replied Reagan ketus, "which obviously this man will watch over us while in England."

"Either why hearing the word 'watch' from you is a bit taboo in my hearing. Maybe you misheard Reggie, I mean Julian's taking care of, not watching."

"Eitherway. That's what I heard when he called this guy last night."

"Man?" Rosaline was surprised.

"Yes. As I heard from Julian last night, this man is Daniel Evan Smith."

"But if this guy is Julian's acquaintance, then we don't have to worry, do we?" He stared fixedly at Reagan's face, making Reagan finally lift his gaze. Look back at the iris of Rosaline emerald she got from her mother.

"I hope so. But that's not what I'm thinking about right now."

"Then what?" Rosaline raised her next to her eyebrows. What else was troubling her brother's mind.

With a long and heavy breath. Reagan glanced outwards, making sure Julian was still busy talking to someone on his phone before turning to look at Rosaline again.

"Listen Rosie, aren't you wondering why Julian forbade us to mention Vreaa and Torres' surnames there? If indeed they were imprisoned for theft, he shouldn't have to worry about it. They're in prison far from before we were born, where there might be Brits who remember their burglary case unless it's concerned."

With that, Rosaline became silent.

...•—— ✿ —— •...

"I'm gonna miss you, Julian."

Rosaline jumped into Julian's arms, making the man quickly wrap his hands around Rosaline's waist to keep her from falling backward.

Julian chuckled amusedly to feel Rosaline's roar of breath as the girl immersed her entire face into the recesses of her neck, inhaling deeply the scent of lemon and mint that she had loved from childhood to adulthood like this.

"Me too, Rosie," she patted her back gently before stroking the top of her head as the warm embrace slipped off.

Julian. He turned his attention towards Reagan who was staring at him flatly. He stretched out his hand and brought the young man into his arms. Just like Rosaline just now, she stroked Reagan's head gently as well.

"Well I can trust you two, right? Remember my warning? Never mention—"

"The family names Vreaa and Torres are there," Cut them off simultaneously with a lazy eye round.

"You've said that over fifty times today, Julian. How can we forget that" protested Rosaline with pursed lips forward.

Julian chuckled looking at the whimper on Rosaline's face. Well don't blame him for being that paranoid. Given that he wouldn't be there to watch over the two of them.

"Then go. I don't want to buy any more airline tickets if you're late to get inside."

After giving her a warm hug once again, Rosaline and Reagan walked inside the airport. Reagan pulled the suitcase and the little sister's suitcase, while Rosaline was still busy waving her hand at Julian standing outside the airport.

"Stop crying. I swear everyone here is scared to see that ugly face of yours," Reagan sneered, rolling his eyeballs as he looked at his little sister who was having a little bit of a crush next to him.

"Be quiet! Basic mood destroyer! You just interrupt, damn it!" Angry Rosaline runs small to kick Reagan but the man can easily dodge.

"Come on, pull yourself together. We've only been gone a few years, Rosie. Don't act like we'll never come back and see her again!" Exclaimed Reagan and Rosaline just nodded while trying to eliminate her as she pleased.

After the plane was at an altitude of 38,000 feet, Reagan turned to the brother who was now asleep on his shoulder while clutching tightly to Julian's backpack that he brought from home.

Well, let him rest. In the end they never know, what they will face in England there while searching for the truth that puts their father and Julian in prison.
