The Continent of Europe
Chapter 22's

...CHAPTRE 22...

...BATHROOM ...

Two weeks after their meeting, Kaylie finally returned to campus. The girl looked extremely irritated when everyone talked about it, even though she easily replied to them. Even on her first day of college, Kaylie had a troublemaker with Clark.

Rosaline turns around only to find Kaylie playing with her hair. He looked very sleepy, just look at how his eyes were slowly closing as the class went.

When their eyes meet. Rosaline smiled as she waved her hand. Kaylie, without a sound muttered the words and miraculously Rosaline understood. The girl said, 'follow me after class'.

Rosaline followed him when the class was over. He realized Kaylie was leading him to the library. When they arrived, Rosaline furrowed her brows in wonder at Kaylie who suddenly thrust a book at her.

"Wuthering heights, Emily Bronte. This book is about revenge, I like the way Heathcliff got his revenge for Catherine."

"This is the book you bought yesterday?" Ask Rosaline.

Kaylie crossed her arms to the front of her chest, as her face flashed a proud smile. "Yes, when I saw you reading Shakespeare's work on Hamlet in the cafe yesterday, I thought you'd love this book."

Rosaline opened the book sheet slowly, letting the scent of the paper gush into her nose. "thank you. Looks like my reading material is growing tonight."

Kaylie looked at him for a long time. He watched Rosaline as the girl brought the book closer to her nose, as if inhaling deeply the scent of the book. He turned his gaze towards the large window beside them.

"Last few days, I realized that you and the golden money were rarely seen together. What's up?"

Rosaline looked up only to find Kaylie looking out the window, her head turned and flinched when she saw Clark was there with James.

"I began to oppose him, refuting all his nonsense about the social strata of the world."

Kaylie nodded silently, completely taking no eyes off Clark and James there before he turned his attention towards Rosaline who was playing her fingernails.

Sure oes. There's been progress on Rosaline's move against Clark. He begins to dare to refute his words, saying everything Clark might hate.

And this is the consequence. He and Clark are rarely together. Well, to be honest. Rosaline doesn't care about that. He didn't mind Clark getting away from him at all, because he wanted to get away from Clark from the beginning.

"Then there's one more step. You have to make her hate you, so she won't bother you anymore."

"I'm not sure about that" said Rosaline hesitantly, "you know for yourself who she is, Kaylie. He's not an ordinary man. His family has a seat in government, I can't harm myself."

"Oh fuck the government, Rosaline. If this is revealed to the media, his family must be ashamed of the behavior of his son who is a bully."

"Yes, after this was revealed and became crowded in all corners of England, the members of the golden money would definitely hunt me for indulging in the media. You know, it's like a disgrace to the rich man's organization."

"I think it's time for the golden money to break. They've invaded Britain for too long, it looks like through you later, the golden money will be destroyed and the UK will be free from those damn rich businessmen."

"Oh shut up, Kaylie. Don't expect me to go any further. Wherever I may be against a government organization alone, I may be considered as *******."

"Who knows the future, Rosaline. Could my mind happen later?"

"If that happens, I'll regret my decision to come to England forever."

...•—— ✿ ——•...

Rosaline was sitting alone in the bathroom. With his legs above the closet, he clasped his feet, making his knees his chin back as a long, heavy breath kept coming out of his lips.

Now he is confused. The harder Rosaline tried not to think about Kaylie's words in the library, the harder she thought about them.

Very funny, he thought.

Rosaline gasped as a loud noise from outside sounded. Instantly, the feeling was not good. For some reason every time he heard such a loud voice, his mind immediately remembered Clark and Asher.

Careful that no sound would come out of her, Rosaline opened the bathroom door where she was and peeked. His eyes instantly widened full of horror seeing Clark grabbing Asher's hair and dragging the girl towards the sink.

Rosaline felt the blood in her body flowing rapidly right after watching Clark drown Asher's entire face into a puddle of water in that sink and made her thrash around like a man out of breath.

There was an indistinct sound coming from Asher as the bubbles in the puddle sprung up. Clark, violently pulled Asher's head from the puddle and pushed it until the girl's body hit the wall behind him.

"You think you can fight me? A lowly person like you? Don't make me laugh!"

This time, both the lens and the handle of his glasses were shattered. Asher could only stare at the resignation of his glasses that were under Clark's feet along with the tears that flowed at the end of his eyes.

"How dare you think about reporting me to the college board, do you think they can help you? Don't be stupid! I'm in control here! They all have no price in front of me."

THE PLAQUE!

Rosaline felt something boiling her anger as her jaw stiffened to see Clark slap Asher's face, leaving the girl only able to sob.

Rosaline did not even realize how strong she was clenching her hands now as if she was ready to throw anything at them and stop their trash bickering there.

With a stomping step, Rosaline finally came out of her hiding place and rushed towards Clark and Asher.

It seemed that none of them were aware of his existence there even after Rosaline again stomped her feet behind, not a single one of them turned to look.

Rosaline was angry. He pursed his lips and clenched his fists stronger than before. Still trying to hold back his anger so as not to make himself regret for no reason later on.

But, within a second as the maroon-haired woman in front of him raised her hand, Rosaline's fury instantly erupted like a volcano.

"Stays. Away's. From. Her!"

His voice was calm but anyone who heard him now could feel the anger in each word.

Clark, he looked very surprised when a hand gripped his hand tightly. When he looked, his jaw was wide open. "What are you doing, Rosaline? Let go of my hands!"

Clark tried to pull his hand from Rosaline's grip. But nil, it feels like something has possessed Rosaline now to the point of making the girl not budge at all.

"Sway from him."

Clark grinned. "Oh, you dare to fight me now?"

Rosaline stood firm and tall with her chin raised while her lips smiled wide and proud. "I am" he answered.

Clark's face flushed. Not because of shame but anger. He growled like a bull, almost making Rosaline laugh at the thought of a plume of smoke coming out of her ear.

"Wandering with the lowlives makes you a dissident like this. Very good Rosaline. I'll make you regret perbu—"

THE PLAQUE!

With an icy gaze, a single slap floated down Clark's cheek.

"I'm sick of you, Clark."
