The Continent of Europe

The Continent of Europe
Chapter 25's

...CHAPTRE 25...

...SHE'S GONE...

Rosaline glanced at the book that Kaylie had given her a few weeks ago. He opened the book, jumping straight to the back of the book where the story ended with the death of the male lead.

It's a hard book that Rosaline describes. Full of revenge and death of each character. But honestly, he likes it. The same classic English book as Shakespeare.

Nowow. The girl was cowering among the pile of novel books on her bed. It's been a week since it happened in the bathroom. He slaps Clark, the golden money boy, and gets into a big fight with him afterwards.

It seemed, after the suspension was over Rosaline would be faced with rumors about her spreading on campus or even the cynical gazes of all the men who adored her beauty.

Rosaline breathed a heavy sigh. His eyes looked out through the window. Somehow it was funny to him every time he remembered Clark's face being red from his slap. Oh don't forget her lips were torn a second time after receiving a blow from him.

Rosaline chuckles. Honestly speaking. There was a sense of relief in his heart after he had done that, but there was one side in his heart that now felt awkward. Anxiety and fear mixed into one interspersed with overwhelming relief.

Maybe after this, he could be completely free from the golden money's entanglement. Yep. Maybe!

Rosaline got up from her sleeping position. He looked around his quiet room. He's confused. In addition to reading books, what else he can do during his suspension runs.

Disturbing Reagan he had done so often, but now the man was not at home. So Rosaline decided to get out of her room and set foot to the cafe next door, where Daniel and the other two employees were working.

"Welcome to the little latte espresso."

Rosaline heard Reina exclaim.

He looked at the current state of the cafe which is very crowded. Sure oes. Lunch time he thought. Rosaline grabbed a clean apron hanging behind the door and put it on, before walking up to the three of them to help.

Daniel was somewhat surprised by the sudden arrival of the girl, just look at the small spike on her body as Rosaline touched her shoulder. However the man immediately nodded and let Rosaline help.

"Table 4 red Velvet and brown frappuccino!"

It took thirty minutes more to make the cafe calm again and slowly the customers who stopped back to their respective activities, leaving a few customers in it.

Rosaline cleaned the tables while Reina carried the dirty dishes and cups back to wash. Rosaline sprayed the table cleaning liquid and wiped it off.

He raised his head as the black shadow blocked the sunlight from entering inside. Over there. His eyes caught the figure of Kaylie and Asher standing behind the glass separating them now.

From Kaylie's mouth movements, Rosaline could tell that the girl was greeting her right now. Then with the head that he tilted, he told the two girls to go into the cafe.

"Something to eat?"

Rosaline clicked on her pen to take notes while the other hand handed the menu book to Asher and Kaylie. Kaylie picked up the book given by Rosaline and read it with Asher.

It took a while for the two of them to decide what they wanted to order before they finally decided to order two Cortado, one apple pie, and a cheesecake.

"It looks like this cafe will be my subscription."

Rosaline grinned, "stop it, Kaylie. I know your intentions. You must want to see my uncle continue, right?"

Clark laughs. "Don't open my ace, Rosaline!" The reply.

"You know, you're more famous all over Westminster" Kaylie and Asher nodded.

Rosaline simply flicked her shoulders indifferently. He had expected that to happen. "I've been famous all over Westminster even long before I did that."

"I was surprised when you did, Rosaline. Honestly, I panicked at that moment. If I were you maybe I'd run first" Asher replied.

"You're a loser, Asher," said Kaylie.

"You really want me to leave you alone in there, huh? If you were killed by how? I can be the main witness later" replied Rosaline.

Asher laughs. "Of course I don't want to, but thank you. After Kaylie, you also helped me," her eyes softened at Rosaline and Kaylie alternately as the two girls threw her proud smiles.

"But from now on you don't have to help me anymore."

The smiles on Rosaline and Kaylie's faces faded, both of them instantly shrinking in wonder.

"What do you mean?" Ask Rosaline.

"Where are you going?" added Kaylie.

Asher smiled listlessly, his head shaking slowly. "I was kicked out of Westminster. My scholarship has been revoked. Maybe after this I'll move with my parents to another country."

That way, Rosaline and Kaylie went silent and they knew who did it.

...•—— ✿ ——•...

After Asher's departure from Westminster became a separate upset for both of them. Especially Kaylie. Rosaline knew that the girl was now on her way to beat up Clark wherever the golden money was.

Rosaline stood in front of the notice board where there was paper stuck there. It's not wearing. Asher's departure was made into a joke by all of them, even the name Rosaline was imprinted there.

Oh, that's it, he thought. He's resigned now. Let the name be bad now. Over time it will definitely improve.

Rosaline went to the park where she often spent her time after removing the papers on the notice board. But, how surprised he was when he saw James was also there. The blonde man was reading a book. Sitting quietly in the shade of a shady tree where Rosaline always stops.

"You're back, Smith?" James asked as he sensed the existence of someone other than himself.

Rosaline cringing. How could the blond man know that the person nearby was him. "What are you doing here? Where's your girlfriend?"

Rather than answering James' question, Rosaline preferred to reply him tightly. Honestly, he was in no mood to deal with everything that Clark was dealing with, especially this blond man in front of him. James Orion Adler's.

"Would it be possible to make a fuss again with the girl who was throwing it with a book?" He shrugged his shoulders no matter what.

Honestly speaking, Rosaline realized this from the very beginning. On the first day he met James. He realized that James had never shown any sign that he cared about Clark. He just showed up.

Even when a corridor incident occurs, in which Kaylie throws Clark with a book and causes a quarrel there, James prefers to be quiet and watch them from a distance rather than stop them both.

Not to mention the second incident in the bathroom, which is where Rosaline slapped Clark and even hit him. Is there any action of James who at least a little angry at Rosaline who incidentally hurt her lover? Even when Rosaline was standing in front of him right now?

The answer doesn't exist. The blonde ignored him. As if he was not interested in the problems around him, even though it concerned his own lover's self-esteem.
