Chapter 32's

...CHAPTRE 32...

...PARTNERSHIP...

"Is this the place?"

Rosaline looked around, making sure she stopped at the right place. He looked at the file that professor Watson gave him yesterday, opened it and read the address of the company he was going to work for and finished his college project once again.

"Yes, this is the place" he said, trying to make himself confident as he walked into the company.

"Excuse me," Rosaline said as she waved at the two guards standing in front of the entrance.

"Yes? What can I help you with?" The others answered.

Rosaline showed me the identity card she got from professor Watson that day and based on her words, Rosaline just needs to show her identity card to the security guard there and then they will take her to the company's in charge.

"Oh yes, Ms. guest. Matilda. This way, miss," he said. He stepped aside, giving way for Rosaline to walk through the door, continuing to enter into the company without a word.

Right after Rosaline stepped in the girl looked around, feeling astonished by the entire side of the company. The elaborate decoration and concept of the building made Rosaline wonder.

What the architects who had built this building thought at the time, to the point of generating great concept ideas and intricate details for this company.

Well, this is amazing, Rosaline thought. As the elevator they were riding drove up to the top floor, from there he could see many people passing by. Move quickly because it is pursued by time and small as an ant.

Funny, thought.

When the elevator stopped, they walked up to reach one of the rooms that looked very luxurious. The door was painted with gold paint and knobs as well. Then there was something hanging there and it said 'matilda's office', it looks like the room belongs to the owner of this company.

“You have arrived, Ms. Matilda,” said the security guard half yelled and while knocking on the door. Before long, there was a female shout that retorted. Screaming from inside told them to come in.

"Please," said the security guard politely, stepping to the other side to give Rosaline a way through. "Md. Matilda's waiting for you" he said.

Rosaline smiled gently and thanked him. He looked as the security guard left and turned around, staring long at the gold-painted door.

Now he's thinking hard. Arguing with his own mind for not being sure whether to go inside or not and meeting with the owner of the company who will work with him on the project later.

Oh fuck, he thought. There was nothing else he needed to worry about except one thing. The only thing that has bothered him so much since yesterday. Sure oes. What else if it wasn't about his partner, damn it?! Oh my god, who was his partner for this project?

After a long debate in her head, Rosaline was startled as she once again heard a shout from inside telling her to enter, this time her shout sounded a bit harsh from before and strangely, it was a male voice.

As soon as the door opened and Rosaline barged in, a pair of gray eyes were fixated, meeting with the green emerald Rosaline had. Their eyes were glued to each other. It looked so intense as shock spread, filling their respective bodies.

"Oh my, god must be playing you," the brown-haired girl muttered as she turned, looking at the familiar man standing in the corner of the room. "I wonder what your boyfriend's reaction would be now if he knew who your partner is, James."

Rosaline stood there in silence, not knowing what to do. He could only smile resignedly as his eyes caught a figure of a man he did not want to meet now and forever.

He could feel the tension slowly filling his body. His hands were sweating and his legs were wobbly like jelly as he began to push himself to walk closer.

Oh God. What is really going on here Of all the humans in the world, why should he? Why did James Orion Adler become his partner?

Rosaline cursed in her heart, feeling unfair with what was happening to her now. She's quiet. Pretending not to pay attention to the blond man, even though what he actually did was glance at him.

Oh my god, this is so embarrassing.

Rosaline gripped her sleeves tightly, lowering her head only to look at the shoes she was wearing now.

Despite the fact that he did not dare to look up and reconcile his gaze with the others.

Even to James or to Oliver, the brown-haired girl.

"Umh... hello, if your name is not wrong Rosaline, right? My God, what happened to the awkwardness that suddenly struck this room."

Rosaline nodded silently as the girl named Oliver stood up from his chair and walked towards him. He placed his hand on Rosaline's shoulder and said, "welcome to Matilda's, "Welcome to Matilda's.

"Disregard the awkwardness in this room, I know it's because of this guy, right? Ignore him, Rosaline. I understand that you don't want to work with him, but just remember, you only need him for this project and make your grade higher. That way when you graduate, you can get the highest score in history at Westminster."

Rosaline chuckled at the joke. He knew that Oliver was just making fun of the man. Seen from an annoyed expression on James' face as the man leaned against the wall.

"For your information, I'm doing this for the same purpose. I just need him for this project and also my grades. So don't get me wrong, I don't want to work with him either."

"Oh come on, James. Who the hell wants to work with you? Yeah, except for your girlfriend, anyway. Well I don't care. As long as this project is complete and your workings satisfy I don't care."

James rolled his eyes lazily. "Whatever," he murmured.

Time stopped in their midst.

Somehow, it felt like time had stopped working. Rosaline didn't even realize they weren't in Oliver's room anymore. It was like an apparate spell in Harry Potter, where they suddenly appeared in different places.

"Okay, listen carefully. This is the room where the two of you will be placed together until the project ends. You can use any property here.

"Like the computer, the bathroom, oh and the cafeteria is on the fourth floor if you want to have lunch there. So there's something you want to ask? If you need anything, just asked the other officer."

Rosaline looked around while James sat on the sofa, observing the room intensely. The man crossed his arms and spoke, "nothing. You can go."

"You kicked me out in my own company? Basic don't know yourself."

Oliver groans in annoyance, throwing death glare at James before finally leaving the room with a single rough stomp at the door.

"Is there anything you want to ask? Your boring eyes are staring at me."

Rosaline jerks. Although the man did not turn his head towards her, he knew that Rosaline was looking at him.

"Well, I just want to know. Oliver, who is he to you? Did you cheat on her?"

This time James' head jerked towards Rosaline.

"No, stupid. He's my friend."

Rosaline nodded awkwardly.

Oh my god, how could Oliver leave him here alone, with a million awkwardness between him and James. I think he wants to leave now. Make a hole in the ground and stay there forever.
