...CHAPTRE 45...
...FOUND OUT ...
Time passes quickly. It doesn't feel like seconds become minutes, minutes become hours, and hours become days. If it continues to count, it has been a month since the project was delayed and the winter ended.
Today, in mid-March —more precisely two weeks have passed— the project has begun. Every area that is the construction site has given a message to Rosaline and James that they have reached to the construction of the framework.
Maybe in the next few weeks, the skeleton has become a perfect building.
Rosaline yawned, stretching her body as she leaned against the office chair. He looked around, saw the blonde guy —who was his partner for the rest of the day until the project finished— was asleep on the sofa.
Just like the day in Edinburgh, Rosaline somehow found the man attractive just by watching him sleep. With a smooth snoring coming out from his lips, his face softened. Her platinum blonde hair fell out, almost covering half her eyes and forehead.
Maybe that's why Rosaline found it interesting. Because James Orion Adler was —although Rosaline was eager to deny it— inevitably he was handsome. Like a prince charming in a fairy tale.
Geck... Geck... Geck...
Rosaline turned her head towards the door as a knocking sound rang out. There he found Oliver smiling at him, waving his hand in the air before pushing the door and walking inside.
As soon as he entered, his attention was immediately turned towards James who was sleeping on the sofa. He snorted, ruffled his waist as he moved his weight from one leg to the other.
"You need to wake her up, Rosie. It's not good to let this man sleep here while you're stuck with that pile of documents."
Rosaline smiled gently. Although he was desperate to wake the man up, Rosaline knew how hard James had been in the last two weeks, working with clients and arguing with them.
"It's okay. He's been working hard for two weeks now, give him a chance to take a nap. At least until one o'clock in the afternoon" he explained, looking at the screen of his phone which showed twelve o'clock at noon.
Rosaline raised her eyebrows, watching Oliver walk up to the sofa where James was asleep. Instantly, the look of horror on Rosaline's face appeared right after she saw Oliver's sly grin.
"No! Oliver's! Janga—"
Bamff!!
Rosaline closed her eyes when she knew what was going to happen. He peeked, opening his eyes slightly as his ears caught the loud sound of laughter.
Over there. James groaned holding his head, waking up from his nap while Oliver laughed, holding his stomach which was starting to hurt from laughing too hard.
"What the fuck, Oliver!" He growled, jumped off the couch and staggered around the table to keep his balance.
He stopped right beside Rosaline who was still stunned after witnessing what had just happened. His head jolted between James and Oliver who were still laughing, watching them like a sports match.
"Don't wake me up like that, asshole!" James hissed, slamming his hand against the table to keep Oliver quiet. Instead of stopping his laughter, Oliver laughed even more. Harder than ever.
"Oh, my fucking head's getting dizzy because of you!" The omel.
Rosaline anxiously dragged her chair, handing it to James so that the man could sit there. He knows that feeling. Waking up in surprise can make the head dizzy and Rosaline does not like the impact of it.
"You okay?" Rosaline whimpered, worried.
James just nodded but still massaged his forehead gently. "Yes, just a little dizzy," she claims.
James glared at Oliver who WAS STILL laughing and said, "Come on, Oliver. Don't be childish!" Angry James, throw a pen at him.
"It's your own fault, James. Even if we know each other, it doesn't mean you can sleep in my company freely. You have to work hard here! Look at Rosaline. He's very diligent, unlike you, lazy boy!"
Oliver chuckles. He crossed his arms before staring at Rosaline. "I'm here to ask James something. Do you mind if you go out for a second, Rosie? It's a little privacy," he winks, makes
Rosaline frowned in amusement and rushed out the door.
Clap up!
"So you called him by his childhood name?"
Oliver turned. "How could you know that
is it his childhood name?"
James sneered. "He told me about it when we were in Edinburgh."
Oliver's lips twitched, making a wide grin. "Hows it? Your trip to Edinburgh?"
James snorted at the sight of Oliver's sly grin and glared at the eye of Oliver who was teasing him now. He knew what those eyes meant. "Be quiet. I know that must be your plan, right? Getting us caught in the middle of a storm? You know, because of you we had to sleep in the same guest room"
"Oh, did you two sleep together?"
James glared, coughing as he unintentionally choked on his own saliva. Without any more warning, his face quickly turned to shame. The dark red color became full on his cheek as James opened his mouth to protest.
"Not in that way, you little sh— I mean that, yes me and him were in the room together but did not sleep in the same bed. Take notes on that stupid little brain of yours!" James shouted, trying to remove the dark red tinge from his face as he turned his head in the other direction. Door facing.
Now, thanks to Oliver. The blond man's mind reaped countless negative thoughts that made the red hue on his cheek even more blushing. Damn it, you're Oliver, the inner.
"You don't have to be mad at me like that, James. You should have thanked me. Because I have your relationship with him no longer awkward. You two look more comfortable."
James rolled his eyes lazily, pinching the base of his nose while looking at the door. Wondering when Rosaline will be back. "Basic fool. When we were on the train, I accidentally— oh shit."
James closed his mouth when he realized what words would come out of his mouth. He buried his face into his arms, hiding his embarrassment from Oliver who was looking at him sharply.
No, oh my God. Just barely. James almost told Oliver how he slept on the train and woke up on Rosaline's shoulder. It would be embarrassing and Oliver in front of him would taunt him for it for the rest of his life.
"What?" Oliver asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No. It's just something you shouldn't know."
Oliver opens his mouth to protest but is cut off by James' words afterwards.
"If you came here just to disturb me and Rosaline, please leave. My head's dizzy with ka—"
"No. I'm here for serious trouble, James.
Can you listen to me this time? It's important."
James shrugged, noticing the serious expression within him. "Well, you're the one who came here with that attitude. How can I guess you came here with something serious."
Oliver cringing. He crossed his legs and leaned against the sofa and said, "Your father and he know about your cooperation with Rosaline on this project." He stopped only to see a horrified look in James' eyes.
"Today they came to me. Angry and yell at me, but you don't have to worry. I've taken care of everything. You just have to deal with your stupid boyfriend. James's Spirit. If you break up with him, let's go to the club.
"I'm happy to be a part of celebrating."
