Sanubari looks moody at breakfast. Lauk is usually cooked until the ludes are left on the table. Kelana realizes something is wrong with Sanubari.
While learning the language, Sanubari seems unfocused. Kelana had to stop her lesson. Free to continue. There would not be much that Sanubari could absorb under these conditions.
"Today I learned enough to get here!" He closed his book.
"Eh?" Sontak Sanubari raised his head in surprise.
"Quick tumben? It's just started too. There are not five minutes yet" said Emgara who sat not far from Kelana and Sanubari.
Embara sits with her twin. The two of them always wait for Sanubari to finish studying while eating snacks given by Sanum.
Kumbara said, "Does that mean we're going to practice fencing early today?"
Kumbara is very passionate when invited to play fencing. Kumbara is like a fencing maniac. It is the Kese who made it that way.
Since childhood he was introduced to fencing. Videos of fencers were shown to him. According to Kumbara, the way the fencing athletes play the sword and the agility of the steps and movements look very cool. The film is not inferior to animated films.
"No. There's something you need to talk to Sanu. You two don't interrupt!" Kelana.
The Twins replied, "Good."
"I know what you're thinking, Sanu." Kelana started the conversation.
"Uncle knows?" Sanubari's heart beats faster. He was like a thief caught off guard.
"You don't look like you used to today. Say what burdens your mind in order to be relieved!" kelana said smiling. Kelana tried to create a comfortable atmosphere for Sanubari so that the child would open up.
However, Sanubari remained silent. He doesn't know how to. Sanubari used to keep his own problems.
If it is too piled up and Sanubari can not help it then he will sleep so as not to be caught by his mother. Usually, the burden will decrease after waking up. But this time it was different. He couldn't sleep well last night.
"Tell me! I'll hear," said Kelana again.
Sanubari still refused to speak. He's bowed. His mind was weighing between the need or not to reveal all this.
"Sanu, not everything can be solved by remaining silent. Sometimes we have to share with others. If you want to be understood by others then tell me about you, about what you feel to let others know! You're the one who knows more about yourself. Other people cannot read your mind. Other people won't know if you don't talk" said Kelana.
"Uncle, I'd like to withdraw from the Olympics. Can it?"
"Why?"
"Beating Kumbara alone I can't. I will only humiliate Indonesia with my poor skills. Then, then people will look at me as a loser because my game is still amateur but dare to advance in the international arena. They'll think things through."
"You can't think like that! Kumbara can be superior to you because she has been learning fencing for longer. Suppose Young Master—I mean you studied for as long, I'm sure you can definitely compensate. Learning takes a process. There's still time to practice. I'm sure all that time your abilities will continue to develop and improve."
"But the time is too short. I will definitely lose because I'm not ready."
"Sanu, this match is not about losing or winning. But about what you can get during the long process of studying hard. Results are no more valuable than experiences that can add knowledge and shape your identity. Winning is just a bonus of your hard journey. The important thing is to do it with pleasure, to go ahead without thinking about losing and winning! That way, you can certainly step without a burden," said Kelana.
Sanubari. Not everyone who gets satisfactory results can get valuable lessons in the course of the process. Luckily, people can get both.
Maybe that's why there are rich but unhappy people. There are successful idols but want to end life. They feel dissatisfied because only results are obtained. Another case with people who can open their eyes during the process of achieving results, by opening a wider view then there will be many wisdom that can be learned.
No matter how hard the pressure, no matter how big the barrier stone will be present in the future, as long as the view is more open and the identity is well formed then the soul will definitely not be easily swayed. It is not the outcome that should be the primary target in life. However, it is the self that must be sought and made the main target. Sanubari began to change his mindset.
He understood that the source of the problem came from within him. Whatever the outcome of winning or losing, satisfying or not it all depends on itself. No matter what anyone says, it is ultimately he who makes the decision on what he will do next. Other people can help make decisions but if they refuse then others will not be able to interfere.
"I understand. By practicing fencing then I can become strong and proficient martial using weapons. Even though I lose the match later but I can still protect my mother if I learn seriously. Winning or losing is the same. Isn't that right, Uncle?" sanubari.
"really. From now on it looks like we should add to your training portion. Saturdays and Sundays will be used as an additional match-training schedule if you don't mind."
"Agreed!" yelling Kumbara who suddenly replied.
"I didn't ask you, Kumbara! I asked Sanu."
Sanubari is back. Language lessons are not continued. They practiced fencing.
Before the duel began, Kelana confirmed Sanubari's movements were still wrong. After practicing the movements for a moment, Sanubari began his duel with Kumbara. He still has trouble defeating Kumbara. However, Sanubari did not give up.
Sanubari often carried out unguided attacks and kept his defenses open. Kelana often reminds him to make a strategy and pay attention to the opponent's movements in order to survive.
"Spirit, Sanu! You can definitely! Defeat Kumbara! Go Sanu, Go!" shouts Embara gives support.
Sanubari continued to practice while thinking about Kelana's words. In his heart he said, "Right said Uncle Kelana. I can't be fixated on results. I have to enjoy this process. Stay focused and keep fighting for the better."
Several rounds took place. However, Sanubari still lost. He asked for an additional round. After struggling very hard, Sanubari finally managed to stab Kumbara in the chest.
"One-four" said Kelana.
"Yeah!" Sanubari cheered in excitement.
For the first time he scored a point. Although he still lost three points from Kumbara but he was happy enough to steal a point from him. Sanubari's self-confidence grew. He believes his game will improve.
"Okay, rehearsal we end here!" Kelana.
"But it's not finished yet." Sanubari still did not stop.
"You two need a break."
"I'm not tired yet. I can still continue," said Sanubari.
"You may still have a lot of energy but pay attention to your co-stars!" kelana's Advice.
"I'm fine, Papa. I can still continue if Sanu wants to" said Kumbara.
Obviously, Kumbara looks very different from Sanubari. His breathing sounded heavy. While Sanubari is still fresh. They competed long enough. Until Embara who was watching fell asleep.
"Don't be selfish! Your bodies need rest. I won't let you force yourself. Get changed!" firmly Kelana.
"Well," answered simultaneously Kumbara and Sanubari.
Kelana woke Embara. After they finished changing clothes, they all went down to the ground floor for lunch. Then they rest in the living room while eating snacks.
"Do you study at home like me?" sanubari asked as she stuffed the tempe chips into her mouth.
Kumbara bit on the tempe chips and replied, "We went to Garda elementary school."
"But from yesterday you were with me all day. Wasn't it Monday?"
"November one and two are national holidays so we don't go to school. Tomorrow we have to go to school again" Kumbara explained.
"A holiday? But how come papa left for work yesterday, huh?" Sanubari remembered Aeneas who said goodbye yesterday but has not returned until now.
"Come on," answered Kumbara shrugging, "I don't know any adult affairs."
"It turns out it's still good for a kid, huh? It can still be a holiday when adults can't" Sanubari said.
Emnbara who was busy eating seaweed-flavored taro chips also said, "Don't miss me if tomorrow we don't meet for a day, yes!"
"Where could it be. I will definitely miss you, Em," Sanubari said.
Embara blushed hearing it. The activity of chewing his taro chips was momentarily stopped. Something was shaking his chest.
"You and Kumbara were my first friends. Besides the brother of the Good Kidnapper. I will definitely look forward to the times when I can be with you again. Actually I also want to go to school but Kelana's uncle has not allowed me" continued Sanubari.
"Oh."
