Santri Famiglia's
Flashback Muktar 4

Muktar was almost out of breath when three people entered the room - two men and one woman. They are Kyai Samad, Fahri, and Aini. Aini apparently called for help.

"Here, take Ustaz Muktar out!"

Kyai Samad stretches Irsyad's grip. Aided by Fahri, he holds and keeps Irsyad away from Muktar. Kyai Samad seemed to inject something into Irsyad. Muktar thought it might be a sedative.

"Come, Ustaz!"

Aini helped Muktar stand up. They're out of the room. Then, Aini closed the door. Both walked into the kitchen.

"Sit the fur, Ustaz!" tawar Aini's.

"Thank you, but I have to be ready."

"What's really going on? How come there was such a loud bang?" ask Raisha. He just finished washing the tools.

Muktar smiled as she replied, "It's okay."

"It's okay to make Aini run around like she's panicking?" search Raisha.

"Just fell down. I go first, assalamualaikum!"

Out turn. While walking down the path, Muktar once again turned to the table made of Stumps. There's nothing there.

That day, after the Zuhur congregation, Muktar again searched the mosque area. Result nil. About two or three weeks later, the watch returned. Muktar found it in the locker.

He thought that maybe his watch fell somewhere, then someone took it and returned it. Then, he went to the receptionist to ask, "Mas, who returned this watch, huh?"

He showed me his watch. The guard cringed.

"I mean, someone borrowed it, then returned it to Ustaz? Doesn't Ustaz know better than I do? Why ask me?"

"This hand clock is long gone, ma'am. I found it in the locker. So, I think someone sent him to the reception."

"From the morning I take care, no one leaves the goods. Somehow with that picket yesterday. But, an object of that size could be directly inserted through the mail hole without going through us. But, I'll try to ask the others."

"Thank you for the information."

Days pass. However, Muktar never got clear who had returned his watch. He also left a parcel for his discoverer at the reception. The parcel was displayed at the reception. It is clearly behind the glass wall.

Weeks changed months, no one took the parcel. Muktar took it back. The parcel was divided into two, then given to Raisha and Aini.

"Ustaz Muktar!" The call was heard after Muktar handed over the parcel.

"Can you climb?"

"God, Mr. Kyai."

"Can you please bring a young coconut? All split later! I want to drink coconut water."

"Ready, Mr. Kyai!"

Muktar took the cleaver. He climbed a coconut tree near the pond. Arriving at the top, Raisha appears from the kitchen.

"Ustaz Muktar, add two if any, yes! Make me the same Aini. That was Mr. Kyai's permission."

Raisha shouted from below. Muktar did not answer. He dropped eight young coconuts, then went down. He also made a hole in the coconut.

From the direction of the kitchen, Aini brought a large glass. The first was presented to Kyai Samad who was reading a book at home.

"Ustaz is married?" raisha asked while dredging young coconuts from the shell.

While Muktar split the young coconut whose water had been poured into the pot. "Not yet."

"Then, may I register as Ustaz's mate?" ask Raisha again.

"If we are a match, we may be together someday. But, you better not expect me."

Muktar has a choice. He was already intending to propose to the girl who gave him the watch after the girl graduated later. Currently, they are only friends, but Muktar is quite satisfied and willing to wait until he finishes his education.

"So, my chance is half-and-half? Not good, Ustaz! It was like hanging" Raisha said.

Muktar returned the cleaver once it was done. They enjoy ice on the kitchen terrace while looking at the fountain.

Suddenly, Aini ran away from them. The glass was left on the wooden chair just like that. Muktar's gaze followed Aini's departure.

"Why Aini?"

"Maybe a cold. This morning, he was vomiting. I followed him first, yes Ustaz!" pamit Raisha's.

That was the beginning of Aini's strangeness. In class, Aini became very quiet. He was never active again. Only answer when asked.

Three days later, Muktar's watch was lost. He can't find it anywhere. Two days later, Raisha starts avoiding him.

It was quite late if it was assumed the cause was a rejection the other day. Because, Raisha still behaved normally right after the rejection and the next few days.

Later, Aini never again entered school. Three days in a row, he was absent. Kyai Samad's house is nowhere to be seen.

The teachers discussed Aini's absence. They did not contact the family, but rather did an investigation in the boarding school area. Finally, the ustazah decided to go to Aini's room.

They knock on the door. However, there was no answer from Aini. They don't understand the reason for Aini's escape. The child is a smart child. His academic grades have always been number one.

To find further clues, the Ustazah asked officers to open Aini's locked room. The smell of the carcass suddenly came out when the door opened. They were all surprised. Aini lay lifeless in her bed.

Police were also called. They went in/out of the pesantren area, questioned everyone. Among the evidence found, there was a watch and a machete that stuck in Aini's stomach.

On the hilt of the cleaver, Muktar's fingerprints were found. Hudi also testified that the watch found by police in the victim's room belonged to Muktar.

"The watch belongs to me, but I don't kill. For God's sake, Mr. Police! Please believe me, Mr. Police!"

No matter how many times Muktar pleaded, they paid him no heed. The police dragged him to the police station.

"No need to dodge! The evidence is clear and the other victims also say that you are the one who committed immoral acts against them."

"Other victims?"

Muktar was getting confused. He never did any disgraceful act on anyone. How could they accuse him like that? That is how his heart wonders.

The day of the trial arrived. The witnesses all incriminated him. Raisha was present as one of the victims who testified. It was obvious why the girl's attitude had suddenly changed towards him.

No other because the girl testified, "Every night, she comes to me and forces me to do that. Although his face was closed and his voice made up, but I recognized his watch. He always checks the clock and comes out at the same hour every night."

Then, Hudi gave a more damning testimony. "That night, it was Ustaz Muktar's picket schedule for night patrol. We had to check all the connecting doors of the sons and daughters dormitory were locked. Ustaz Muktar probably used the patrol hours to visit the dormitories. He also often complained that his watch was missing, but returned after some time. Perhaps, Ustaz Muktar watches are not really lost, but forget to be used again after being removed. So, the clock was left in Santriwati's room."

Complete are the allegations that increasingly corner Muktar. The evidence is flawless. Everything that comes out of Muktar's mouth is considered a lie.
