"So, what can I help you with?" ask the father.
The wife brought him warm tea and taro chip setoples. He invited her to eat and drink, and joined her in the living room. They were the first family to accept Sanubari and Sai.
"If you're pleased, we just want to ask you a few things" Sai replied.
His eyes observed the conjugal expression. The two looked at each other, implying doubt. The wife also whispered, leaving everything to the husband.
"Please! We will answer as far as we know," the father paused for a moment before turning to his wife, "you call Raisha, Bun! Maybe it's better if they hear from Raisha directly. From us, the facts can change because of mixed subjective views."
Sanubari confirmed that. He thinks they are wise. News from the first person is indeed more accurate than news that falls into the second hand and so on. Addition and subtraction are inevitable again after changing hands.
"But what if the first person is a liar?" Such doubts were present in Sanubari's mind. They will never get the facts when it happens.
Not long after, the mother returned with the veiled woman. The young girl sat among her parents. She looked down while playing the tip of the hijab. Sai asked permission to record the contents of the conversation before beginning the interview.
"This is Raisha my son, one of the victims of that case."
Mr. Raisha embraces Raisha. Sai and Sanubari introduced themselves.
Then, Sai asks the question, "Raisha is not in school?"
"My son is just a nyantri there. But, he took a day off to calm down. Horrified, the school also gave relief to the students who were victims. They can go to school from home so as not to miss. And for those who are mentally ill, the school also gives a leave of absence to recover from the trauma."
"It's very wise for the school, yes sir," Sai said.
"so. Kyai Samad visits once a week to apologize" the father replied.
"Is there any other compensation that the school has granted?"
"Kyai Samad brought a pot and some money. Although all of that can meet our needs without having to work, but it can't restore my daughter's honor and erase the bad memories from her."
"So, Raisha still remembers Ustaz Muktar?" ask Sai.
Raisha was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly. His movements seemed doubtful. Sai.
"We once spoke with Ustaz Muktar and watched his trial. He always denied that it was his doing. Did you see for yourself that Ustaz Muktar did immoral deeds?"
Sai's question is so sharp. Raisha speechless. The father was offended after hearing it.
"How are you? It is clear that my son is a victim. You must know who the suspect is, To? What are the suspects you trust more? The quibbler must have just nagged to defend himself."
Raisha's father is fiery. Raisha was silent.
"Let's hear the answer from Raisha! I just want to know the facts from Raisha's mouth. Did Raisha see the perpetrator's face clearly or not?" said Sai.
Sanubari was impressed with Sai. In his daily life, Sai seemed like a very quiet person. But when he was in this condition, he was like a trained public speaker. Everything flows in orderly calm. It was beyond Sanubari's expectations.
Raisha replied softly, "No."
"May you please be clear!" pinta Sai's.
"He did take off his clothes, but the face cover was never removed while doing that" Raisha said very slowly.
Sanubari did not understand how immoral acts were performed. After all, she had never gone to school more than Elementary and had never seen an adult film. His knowledge in that field is still very limited. However, Raisha's description makes her feel strange. He knew what it was called taking off clothes.
"Yes." Yeah." Raisha nodded.
Sanubari suddenly said loudly, "That's right! Cook you don't recognize his posture? For example, the arm or stomach muscles. There must be a physical difference, right? Like this for example."
Sanubari spontaneously lifted the shirt himself. Sai's shirt was also lifted. Sai immediately hits Sanubari's hand and gets rid of him.
"Shameful," inner Sai, while his voice said, "Stop your disrespectful actions, Sanu!"
Sanubari's behavior shocked everyone. They're getting awkward. Raisha who had looked ahead looked down again. Sanubari apologized.
"Don't Raisha think that it might just be someone else?" chase Sai.
"If his face does not look it could be," said father Raisha approved Sai. The estimate made him aware.
However, Raisha went back to being silent. It was as if he was thinking of something. Her fingers continued to roll the tip of the hijab.
"Is there any other evidence that convinces Raisha that it is Ustaz Muktar?" cecar Sai's.
"It's clear Ustaz Muktar's fingerprints were found in the murder case. He was also executed. You can request the investigation data to the police station. Why ask my daughter the same question after the case is closed?" sela Raisha's mother.
"We want to uncover facts that have not been revealed by the police. What if the suspect is not Ustaz Muktar?" said Sai.
"Right, "Sanubari nodded steadily, "Justice must be upheld. Even if the person is dead, if he is innocent, then we need to clarify."
"What else needs to be clarified? The police themselves investigated. You're just academy students, not cops who proved his worth. Your theory must be nothing more than imagination" Raisha's mother said.
He was getting confused with the questions asked. The woman was worried about her daughter. The atmosphere was also cloudy. Mr. Raisha also cast them out subtly.
Sai and Sanubari then go to Aini's house. Not much information they get because Aini rarely tells about his condition to both parents. Only, they had one thing in common. Aini's family received greater compensation from the Raisha family. Their rickety house was built by Kyai Samad. They also acquired a plot of land and rice fields.
"It's also rich, yes, that Kyai Samad. Everything's graced. Routine anyway," Sanubari commented after leaving Aini's house.
Sai was silent. He focused on driving to his next destination. Sanubari.
"Sak Sai returned to silent mode," he thought.
Sanubari supported his head with his left hand. Until finally, the car they pulled over on the side of the highway.
"Why stop?" ask Sanubari.
"Front of it looks like the Kyai's house."
Sai pointed forward. Someone opened the gate. A car is out. The man got into the car after closing the gate back.
"That was Kyai, wasn't it?" ask Sanubari.
He opened the phone to make sure he didn't misidentify it. Over and over again, he compared. However, the time is too short. Sanubari is not too sure.
"Well, we're late today Brother Sai. Looks like, we should be back here tomorrow."
However, Sai's response was beyond Sanubari's expectations. He said, "Sanu, fly the spy bug!"
Sai stepped on the gas pedal. He drove at a speed that was arguably enough to keep up with the kyai car. They keep their distance.
