Santri Famiglia's
Illusions of the Past

Sanubari was nervous. Repeatedly, he took a deep breath, then exhaled violently, suggesting himself to remain calm. This is nothing compared to events that have happened in the past.

However, his heart still did not want to swallow. The leaflets are really uncomfortable. It was as if he had suffered a mental setback, a very strange one that Sanubari felt now. Supposedly, he could face this. Didn't similar accusations ever occur when he was a child? Such a question was present in Sanubari's mind.

How he felt at that time, Sanubari tried to dig it out of the memory pile. He needs his old self. He needs the strength of the past.

"It's okay. It's okay."

His mouth was muttering. Still with his head down, playing with his feet, he tried to shift the anxiety. Suddenly, the size of his shoes shrank, the material pants he wore turned into knee-length sports pants.

The ceramic he was treading became a pile of dried leaves with drops of blood. Sanubari. Raised a scared head. At that instant, Sanubari's eyes widened.

"Aldin ...."

His words stammered, watching the sharp object piercing the eyeball. Looking to the right and left, there was no one there. Except, he and a boy of his age who roared in the middle of a dense garden like a forest.

That screams it slices the heart. For a moment, Sanubari looked away, unable to witness a sight too terrifying for him. However, his instincts were not selfish enough to ignore.

Glancing in doubt and fear, Sanubari tried to drive away the worry. Slowly, he crawled closer to the sobbing Aldin. He knelt before her.

"Din, don't miss njebol, yo?" Sanubari's voice was very slow, offering Aldin help to pluck sharp objects from his eyes.

He himself was not brave. However, he felt sorry to see Aldin like that. His hand moved to Aldin's face. Sanubari had not had time to touch the tip of the pimes, his wrist was blocked.

"Don't!" Aldin shouted the rejection in a raucous voice.

A shout that seemed to trigger a rebuke from the teachers. "Sanu!"

Sanubari turned his head. The three male and two female teachers looked at him ferociously. Aldin's three best friends were with them. Curious students gathered at the edge of the garden.

"What the fuck, you?" A male teacher separates Aldin's hands from Sanubari's.

He pushed the green-sliced boy to a fall. Sanubari grimaced with pain. The teacher's grip was too strong. However, compared to Aldin's wounds, Sanubari knew that the pain he felt was not much.

"Who taught you to hurt your friends, huh?" The high-pitched spicy poison pierced Sanubari's heart.

"You want to learn to be a killer, you? You Naughty Child!"

"We accepted you to attend school here out of pity for Ms. Sanum. We wanted to give you a chance, but what did you do? Is this what your parents taught you at home?"

All eyes blamed him. Sanubari could only bow, listening to the scathing nose in silence. They raced cursing without asking the real incident.

"Well, we'll take Aldin to the hospital first!" A teacher hugged the injured boy, giving him warmth.

They left, ignoring one more boy who was also injured—not physically, but his inner self. Sanubari really wanted to cry. His chest felt full. Even his eyelids could not hold the liquid that forced out.

He was alone, gloomy under the lush foliage that would not let the warmth of the lord of the daytime touch his skin. As if all the warmth was away from him, the gloom of the garden breathed a cold wind at him.

Little Sanubari quickly wiped the traces of the water's decay from the cheeks. He ran. Once out of the garden, his uniform had simply changed into a Boy Scout's brown suit. I don't know since when, the backpack was on his shoulder.

All students step aside as Sanubari passes bench after bench in class. They glanced at him cynically while whispering.

"Ancene the devil's son. Yo must wae koyok satan behavior."

Being said to be a child of the devil with a devil-like behavior like that was common to Sanubari. He prefers to pretend not to listen, then act ordinary. However, the ensuing gossip left little Sanubari shaken.

"The figure of ndek wingi AREP mateni Aldin?"

The accusation is completely untrue. Little Sanubari had no idea what murder was. Eliminating the lives of ants alone is not bear, let alone deadly fellow humans larger.

He bowed, played his fingers and bit his lips. He tried to keep his mind busy. However, his ears still caught the conversation intact.

"Hi serem."

"Hus, Ojo kakehan said! Cahe wis teko. Coaching krungu lacquer keeps kumat piye?"

Their worries were completely baseless. Sanubari had heard, and he preferred to be silent. How painful is little Sanubari's heart. They even liken it to a lost person who can relapse and rampage at any time.

Two of them looked. Which in the end, accidentally scattered with a green highlight of Sanubari's eyes which also just lifted his head. No doubt, the noise also shook the room.

"They're sown!"

"Gyaaa enek wong jerky!"

Everyone out of class. They turned to make a scene outside. No one dared to go back to class.

Passing through the back door, Sanubari headed for the teacher's room. He's standing at his homeroom desk. There was no chatter, until the other teachers completely left the office.

"From now on, you don't have to come to school!" said the guardian disciple who immediately made Sanubari jerked.

"But sir, how can I take a lesson if I can't come to school?" Clear eyes Sanubari straight.

He did not understand the meaning of the teacher. Although the one sentence showed a very clear meaning, Sanubari's mind remained filled with positivity.

"Yes, don't take lessons." The classroom guardian pulled the drawer, he took out a rectangular piece of paper.

"Can't be so dong, sir! I may repeat the class because I missed the lesson and lack total attendance. I don't want to be put off."

"There's no such thing as repeating a class for you. You better go home now and give this to your mother!" The classroom guardian gives Sanubari a white envelope.

"But sir, class is just getting started."

"Go home! You are no longer a student here. We can't let a rogue disciple like you stay here."

The last ultimatum that made Sanubari's heart like a machete. Sorely. That one event actually worsened Sanubari's status. Not only was it looked at one eye by the citizens and friends, the teachers also stayed away from him at that time.

Sanubari walked down. Before entering the house, Sanubari repeatedly exhaled, trying to normalize his expression. She doesn't want to look bad in front of her mother.

"Well, how about some wangsul? Free to, Le?" That was what Sanum said when he saw his son coming home early, thinking that the school was being released.

Sanubari. However, tears still shed as she handed the mother a white envelope. The sadness of guilt disappointed the mother could not be contained.

Sanum quickly read the letter. His hand quickly rubbed Sanubari's cheek after he finished reading, then raised the son's head.

"Ora opo-opo, you know iku ora mung Doko school."

Sanum assures Sanubari that his knowledge is not limited to school. He has absolutely no objection to the removal of Sanubari. It is obvious from the smile that expands. Little Sanubari was confused.

"But, Mommy ...."

"Graduated school durung Tammu njamin wong ISO passed the exam urip. Yo wis ben ora nduwe school diploma, sing important iso ngadepi Tesae Sing Nggawe Urip."

Sanum advises Sanubari, graduating from school does not necessarily guarantee a person can pass the life test. Let it not have a school diploma, the most important of which is to face the test of the Life-Giver. He hugged Sanubari, stroking her back gently.

Little Sanubari could feel the warmth of Sanum's affection. The badly injured heart was slowly healed by the warmth. Sanubari's power seemed to have just been replenished.

"Bronghom ...."

Sanubari realized, the source of his power was from Sanum. His spirit, his cheerfulness, his fortitude would recover instantly whenever he got such warm treatment. However, the hug suddenly moved away.

Sanubari looked at himself. He stood confused. The small figure disappeared, like water that suddenly collapsed. Blood was splattered everywhere.

The transition continued to move without Sanubari being able to stop. Sanum, who was originally healthy, lay with a pale face and blood-soaked clothes. Sanubari. The source of his power has gone. The only focus of life is gone.

It did not stop there, the surroundings darkened very quickly, devouring everything that existed. Sanubari be.r.r.r.r.r.r.r.a.l.lied, flailing about the void in the darkness while shouting.

"Mamaq! Mama! Mama!"

However, futile. The woman's form has disappeared perfectly. The sound of droplets echoed in silence. Along with the start of the symphony, all over Sanubari's body was attacked by extreme pain.

As he raised his hand, an iron array had pierced through his arm, making him sigh in surprise. Breathing heavy. Not only the arms, both legs and stomach were pierced by long iron. Blood flowed from his body. He screamed so.

"Aragh!"

Sanubari held his head. It felt like Godam had just hit. The darkness turned into a blurry sight.

Door opened. Some people come in. One of them approached Sanubari.

"Daijoubu desu ka?"

The voice sounded very far away in Sanubari's ear. The shadows seem to be approaching. His mind was chaotic, so he was like a dazed person who could not respond to the outside world.

What if he was arrested now, what if he was killed now, what if he was in the dark forever, what if he didn't have a family forever, what if he was alone forever, how ... how ... how—all that overlaps in the head until Sanubari no longer knows what he is thinking.

The second darkness in this one day greeted him. The hand that grabbed his own hair suddenly drooped just like that.

"Doushiyo?" one of them asked how.

"Kare o byouin ni tsurete fokakereba naranai youdesu." Others proposed to take Sanubari to the hospital.
