Santri Famiglia's

Santri Famiglia's
Flashback Muktar 3

Every day, Muktar comes to Kyai Samad's house to help various things—grooming flowers, keeping fish, delivering food on Irsyad, as well as other odd jobs. When the school and pesantren began to be active again, Muktar reduced activities in the dalem area.

In the morning, he had to teach economics in school. In the afternoon, he taught religion. He also filled out a study that was regularly held on Friday. The batteries are always rolling. It was a meeting of undifferentiated classes.

All melted into one. Both the newly registered santri and the old and closed many books—they all sat in one room separated by a wooden board partition between women and men. Sometimes, such activities are held in mosques.

Aini who Muktar knew as a courtier turned out to be one of the students in the class that he was able to. The girl is classified as an active and diligent student as well. He often asked both at school and while teaching.

Everything went well. Muktar was familiar with his students. Until one day, Muktar looked confused. He unpacked the mattress, lifted the pillow, opened the drawer, even peered under the couch.

"What are you looking for? From this morning, you seemed agitated," asked Hudi who had just entered the room.

"My watch is gone."

"Don't you always wear it? How can it disappear? Hudi put the flashlight to the table, then put the body into the mattress.

"Indeed, but I always take it off during prayer or sleep. As I recall, the night before I went to bed, I put it on the table. But, this morning after the mosque, there's nothing." Muktar sighed, then sat down on the bed.

"Hm, you forgot the times. Maybe left behind in the mosque wudu time, or left behind in Kyai house when helping."

"What is it, huh?"

Muktar felt his memory was not wrong, but Hudi's words made him doubt himself. He tried to recall events after events. However, he could not remember the whole incident completely.

"Once you go to sleep! It's eleven o'clock. Remember tomorrow it's your turn to patrol the night! Don't get less sleep! The head can be dizzy." Hudi yawns.

That night, Muktar stopped the search. The next day, when Henda delivered food to Irsyad, Muktar asked, "Here, look at the watch left, no?"

"No, Ustaz."

Aini's call to Muktar changed when she learned that Muktar was her teacher. Since the effective day began, there were other students who helped Aini. Raisha.

"Ustaz lost the watch, huh? I will help you around the school. I don't go to school like Aini. So, have more free time."

Raisha. He always smiles and talks a lot.

"Finish that first, Ma'am!"

"Yes-yes, Ni! Of course I'm the one I should prioritize."

Irsyad sat on the edge of the couch facing the window. Open curtain. However, the window was closed, it could not be opened from the inside. Kyai Samat has added a small crossbar to lock from the outside.

"Hare first, Mas!" said Muktar, putting the tray on the table.

He didn't come out right after. Muktar still has two hours until teaching time. Even if only for a moment, Muktar wanted to try talking to Irsyad. His heart moved to help Irsyad.

Muktar sat on the chair. He was confused where to start. He felt it was impolite to ask directly to the core of the matter.

"Is there a heart that I want to convey? If there is, I am ready to listen. Maybe sharing can ease the burden of the mind." Muktar handled it very carefully.

However, Irsyad was flinching. Muktar remained silent for a while. He's confused again.

"I will always be a friend. I'm also ready to hear if Mas needs a friend to confide," Muktar said again after a few minutes of silence.

Irsyad. His eyes were wide. Unexpectedly, he jumped onto the bed, then onto Muktar.

Falling down with the chair rolled over. It sounds so loud. Irsyad strangled Muktar. He sits on it.

"Conscious, Mas! Conscious! Speak, Eling Gusti Allah!"

Muktar had trouble speaking. His voice was hoarse because his throat was pressed. Muktar tried to escape, but Irsyad's energy was too strong.

The loud noise must have been heard by whoever was in the house. Muktar did not close the door so that the sound was not muffled. A moment later, the sound of the feet was heard approaching.

"Come, Ustaz Muktar!"

Aini suffocates. The girl did not enter the room. He immediately left again.

Muktar was still lying. He squeaked until he held a giggle.

"Go!"

Irsyad's voice sounded half growling. It made him seem angry. Coupled with his fierce-looking expression, it further showed that Muktar's presence was undesirable.

Muktar regretted his actions. He seemed to have unintentionally offended.
