Goldenweek is a busy week for the Eiji division. Just now that the fieldwork in Osaka is over, the new job email from the Hokkaido branch came. That same day, they flew to the island.
"Cold!" Sanubari hugged himself as he exited the station.
Cold wind directly hit the face making the temperature sixteen degrees Celsius increasingly down. A thin gray fog even billowed in front of his lips as air escaped from his mouth. Following the seniors, Sanubari looked astonished. He wondered, how could those three people step up normally.
Back glances at himself, equally clad in a suit. Surprisingly, the pores of Sanubari keep dragging. His teeth were grinding, stumbling as a result of holding the cold. In fact, a sheet of sarong has been covered like a modern boss.
"What's wrong with my body?" he thought to remember the past. It's spring, it shouldn't be this cold. He also had a winter. It's weird that he's like someone who's never known winter.
However, upon further thought, he had trouble finding a normal winter for him. Groping the memories of the early years, he only found himself running under the snow. He himself was not sure how his body was responding to the cold.
Retreating further, only bad feelings were obtained. Darkness, blood, and seclusion. Quickly, he shook his head with his eyes closed. Grasped tightly the ends of the holster, close the gap in front of the chest. For some reason, Sanubari often feels something is not right with his head lately.
"What after this we get a bonus? Nice free walks. But, if you keep working nonstop it doesn't feel good." Renji raised his hand, as if he was stretching while walking.
Silent. Sai may not have the answer. Sanubari is busy warming the body by rubbing hands. While Eiji, his mind drifted far away to other places.
Ever since hearing of the stranger's attack on his sister Darri Sanubari, Eiji could not calm down at all. He tried to contact his sister. However, there is no answer.
"Why are you all suddenly like mute people? In fact, you too, Sanu?" babble Renji.
"The laughter is too cold. If talking warms the body, then I don't mind talking." Sanubari's voice shook badly. Exactly the person who was locked up in the freezer for more than twelve hours.
"What's with your voice, Sanu? Did you just swallow a frog?" Renji chuckles.
He stopped walking, then looked back, looking at Sanubari who was the most followed. Under the dim road, Sanubari's white skin looked paler. Lips that were usually fresh pink, now looked bluish.
"Why did Ren stop there?" tanya Sanubari stammered.
"You sick? What is your appearance?" Renji turned back, following Sanubari who had just passed him.
"Not sick. I just need some warmth" Sanubari replied.
They entered the lobby of an inn. Sanubari. Finally, he loosened his grip from the sheath. The air in the room feels warmer. It is very comfortable for Sanubari.
They take off their shoes and put them in lockers. Replaced with the slippers of the room provided, the receptionist took them down the corridor of the open room, passing through the natural garden. The bamboo beat and the pouring of water became the music of their travel accompaniment.
Shortly after, the receptionist opened the sliding door. Four futons have been lined up on top of the tatami. All of this was prepared to welcome their arrival. After telling the location of the bathroom that blends with the wall, the receptionist said goodbye.
Sanubari first shower. He hurriedly curled up behind a thick blanket of futons and opened the phone. Dozens of missed calls filled his call history.
"Sister Abri? Why'd he call this much?" his mind with a frown. He called back the man.
"Sanu, Anki doesn't exist."
"No how do you mean brother?" The intersection of Sanubari's eyebrows is shrinking. Concerns began to sprout in his heart. The word 'nothing' sounded too ambiguous in his ears. His hand shook just like that when the three words reached him.
"Anki's not home."
"Didn't he stay at his grandfather's house?"
Sanubari remembers the last time they met, the three of them drove Anki to her grandfather's house. It's natural not to be home. However, Abrizar added something else.
"Two days ago it was. But, he said yesterday he came home. Mitsuki and I went to Anki's grandfather's house. In fact, I accidentally got around Anki's house and went back there to see if she had come back. The house remains empty."
"Maybe he's staying at his friend's house. Did you ask me over the phone?"
"It has. The phone's not lifted. The message was not opened. I'm afraid the people at the station came and took him. Tell this to Eiji. Perhaps, she could track him down with the help of an insider. Understand what I mean, right?" concluded Abrizar.
Sanubari immediately got up, leaving his blankets in a mess. He banged on the bathroom door while calling, "Sister Eiji!"
"Oi-oi, San! What's got you! Noisy woi!" renji protested without taking his eyes off the phone.
"What?" eiji answered while sliding the bathroom door. He was already wearing the jinbei that the inn had provided.
"Anki's missing."
Hearing that Eiji's face grew serious. Renji and Sai are drawn to Sanubari.
"I just got word from ABRI. He said Anki wasn't at Shiragami's grandfather's house and at your own house" said Sanubari, who was overwhelmed with panic.
Unlike Sanubari, anxiety also creeps in Eiji. He cursed his own stupidity. Tired of the grandfather's repeated requests, Eiji blocked the old man's contact.
Suppose he did not do that, the news of the sister must have reached him since. If what Sanubari said was true, then he was truly the dumbest human being. His feelings are mixed. Regret, worry, anger, somehow describe it.
"Sanu, don't joke around like that! Look at! You messed up our chief" said Renji, watching Eiji walk past Sanubari.
The man grabbed a cell phone located next to the futon. Eiji put up a transmission on his sister. More precisely, the necklace that the transmission inserted.
His premonition has been bad since Shima persuaded him to involve his sister in business politics. Therefore, he gave a special necklace through the intermediary of Sanubari. That afternoon, he monitored Anki's whereabouts through his cell phone. The girl is still home.
Eiji was not suspicious at all, although there was an uncomfortable feeling of agitating him and the phone was not connected at all. He hasn't checked since he got on the plane.
Now, the man opened an app that connected his phone to a transmission on his sister's necklace. The blue dot in the map has changed. The inscription on the balloon description no longer displays his home address.
"Abe no Harukas" said Eiji. His hands tightly squeezed the phone in his grasp.
