Thanks to Abrizar, they could get to the other side without being bitten by a snake. Luckily, all three were slim men. So, they could pass through the ranks of iron like bars.
If they were fat and potbellied, maybe their bodies would get stuck. The interval of iron with other iron is not wide enough for a lycaon to pass through. That's a little relief.
Through the shrubs, shady trees, the three arrived at a fairly open area again. Abrizar deliberately led them deeper because he heard the flow of water.
There, the men rested. Abrizar squatted down by the river. He washes his hands and face. Fukai. Finished feeding and ingesting medicine at Sanubari, Fukai removed Sanubari's long-sleeved shirt.
Sanubari's left arm was bleeding, as was his temple. There was an elongated scratch wound, apparently due to friction with the gravel or twig when it fell earlier. He quickly cleaned the wounds, applied the ointment, and attached medical plaster.
Afterwards, Fukai returned to the river. Looking at Abrizar who took off his shoes and rolled up his pants, Fukai frowned. The blind man put his foot in the river. Blood flowed along the river.
"Come to the edge! I'll treat your wound," Fukai patted Abrizar on the shoulder.
"It's okay. Later!"
"I don't carry medicine and medical supplies. But, your wounds must at least get the first treatment until we get out of here and into the hospital. Come on!" fukai Urge.
The torn wound on Betis Abrizar looked a little terrible. It looked deeper than Sanubari's wound.
Abrizar paused for a moment, then followed Fukai with a slight limp. The wound feels pain every time you get pressure when you set foot or step. A pair of shoes.
Abrizar grimaced and hissed whenever Fukai wiped his wound with disinfectant and sterilizing liquid. Then, apply the ointment before covering it with a medical plaster.
Among the three, Fukai who ate the last supplies. Only three slices of sandwich, but enough to temporarily prop up the stomach.
The breeze gives coolness under the blazing heat. The three sat under a shady tree. Leaning on the tree trunk, Sanubari fell asleep.
"That's better for him. That way, the pain will not be so pronounced," Fukai thought as he bit the bread.
He gave Abrizar and Sanubari painkillers. Abrizar is seen taking off his glasses and closing his eyes next to Sanubari, but does not sleep.
Meanwhile, Fukai looked far away. The kiwano trees bear fruit. Its yellow color shines brightly in the sunlight. Far across the expanse of kiwano, a giant tree trunk looks like a wall. The top soars to the sky. The leaves are pretty thick. The area and height of the trunk may be more than a thirty-story building.
"That's the real wonder of the world."
Fukai's eyes widened. The view was sparkling, not separated from the panorama in front. This was the first time he had seen such a huge tree in person.
"What?"
Abrizar still replied. That means, he did not sleep, even though the air was comfortable enough to momentarily melt the body.
"That's, there's a giant tree far ahead of us."
"Oh, this is a wild forest. It's only natural that there are large plants, right?"
"Not only that. In front of us, there is a stretch of kiwano all the way to the end of the tree. It feels like the kiwano fields are too regular to say wild plants" Fukai said after observing the scene.
Kiwano-kiwano is like someone deliberately planted. Everything looks well-groomed.
"It seems, we are heading in the right direction" concluded Abrizar after hearing Fukai's remarks. Soon, they will get to where they are looking for. Those iron fences, they must have been meant for something.
Three hours of rest, Sanubari awakens. The pain in his body subsided, remaining the pain that was still within his tolerance limit. He smelled his body.
"Bau, rancid. I want to swim to the clear river."
"You can't soak for too long before all your wounds close perfectly" Fukai said.
"If you're better, let's continue the journey! The destination was in sight."
Taking the backpack, Abrizar stood up. Shoes have been re-worn as well.
"What about bridges or land that might be able to jump?"
The question behind it explains that Abrizar did want to move forward.
"Kiwano? What is kiwano?"
Sanubari looked at Fukai. The doctor is also moving his head to the right and left.
Then, he replied, "The yellow-yellow fruit is across the river."
His index finger stretched forward before saying, "There is no bridge here. Neither is it narrow enough to jump over."
Sanubari's view was fixed forward. Suddenly, he stood up and ran while saying, "I'll check the depth."
"Sanu, your wounds have not dried!"
Ignoring Fukai's warning, Sanubari took off his shoes and rolled up his pants. He smiled broadly.
"Just for a moment" he said, then plunged into the river with his shoes with his left and right hands.
"Bas with the boy!" gerutu Fukai's.
Sanubari was the most troublesome patient he had ever dealt with. The young man often complained, but often also ignored abstinence. He seemed to not be confused with the pain he suffered.
Sanubari continued walking towards the middle. Turning around, he exclaimed, "Only knee-length!"
His smile seemed forced and strange because it had to while holding the pain. His knees and feet were submerged like they were tickled with sharp objects. He quickly turned around, hurriedly to the edge. As soon as he got out of the river, he sat down and blew one by one the plaster attached to his two legs.
"I will carry you so that the wound does not get wet" Fukai said.
Abrizar did not refuse. They soon followed Sanubari.
"Aah!"
Sanubari screamed as Fukai suddenly removed his wet plaster. The doctor silenced Sanubari with his left hand.
"Hold it, you crybaby! This is the result if you continue to rebel."
Fukai lowered the bag next to him. Fortunately, he was carrying a large tissue. So, he's got something to dry Sanubari's legs off. As usual, finished doing the maintenance and replacing the plaster, Fukai put the trash into the bag.
They continue their journey. Every now and then, Sanubari runs ahead, then stops. He's holding the orange fruit.
"It's like a watermelon. But, it's like an orange, a lemon? There are also protrusions like dragon fruit. The smell is fresh too. Is this edible?" chirping.
That unique fruit really cultivated his curiosity. Sanubari palpates the bumps on the fruit.
"It's also called horned melon. It feels good when it's ripe," Fukai explained.
"You try."
Sanubari looked at him with lustful glare. Just now, he was about to pluck the fruit. However, Abrizar's voice sounded.
"Don't take any fruit! We're not here for a fruit-pick tour!"
"It's the wild. So, it doesn't matter if you want to take it without anyone's permission, right?"
Sanubari. However, he took off the fruit, and followed Abrizar who left him. Sanubari still difficult to take his eyes off the yellowish orange fruit.
