Be My Soldier Forever
Ep. 72

The next day, Alan came home, and I fell asleep in Adrian's arms and woke up as I felt him shift. She gently placed my head on the pillow and walked out of the room to go talk to Alan, I could hear them whispering to each other angrily. Alan tried to defend himself and Adrian tried to defend me.

For a moment, I heard their footsteps heading to my room and my door was pushed open, I did not open my eyes, I was too afraid to see Alan's angry expression.

“You should have seen him, Alan, he needs someone very much, needs you. You're the only family he's got and you're destroying his feelings when you just leave.” Adrian said softly, I heard the soft padding of legs walking across my carpet towards my bed, I felt someone sitting on my bed and soft hands caressing my cheeks.

“I'm not mad at him.” Said Alan. “I was angry with myself, for not being there at the time he was attacked and not smart enough to know that he would be stranded like this.” He's confessing. “I left her when she still needed me, I left my little sister for years to take care of herself and to overcome the trauma that befell her. I don't know how I can forgive myself.” Alan held back his sobs trying to get out, I finally got up and wrapped my hands around his neck.

“It's okay, you're here now, you're with me now.” I said, kissing her temple. An emotional day, full of tears and confessions. Hopefully in the future we can avoid this kind of situation.

Because my wrist was broken, my shop had to take care of it, and there was only Kenny there, I couldn't lift heavy things because it would be difficult for me, so we made a plan, every afternoon Adrian would be in the shop helping and watching things there, and after Alan finished going to therapy, he would come there. It's nice to get help from a guy, I want Adrian to put fertilizer on top of the shelf, and he doesn't even sweat. I had Alan fill a sprinkler tank with water and told him to take it back, so we could water the flowers there, in addition to the spilled water, he didn't sweat either. And the best part is that they are my employees for free.

“Hei Alice! Where do you keep your melatimu flower seedlings?” adrian shouted from the storage room.

“Top rack!” I screamed back from my office.

Since last month, my little shop has grown quite popular, when I first opened it, I got 100 shoppers a month but recently I got almost 100 more in a week! I had to order another delivery of flowers and tree shavings to pull out the withered flowers.

“Alice, someone called you in front.” Kenny said, there are tumben yng call me, usually Kenny call me like this because there are questions that he can not answer or when the flower delivery will be sent. As I walked out, I saw the black-haired little boy holding his mother's hand. I smiled and greeted them.

“Halo, Sheila. What can I do for you today?” I said slightly on his knees, he sucked his thumb and he didn't want to talk, he looked sad.

“My body withers, I need vitamins to keep it alive.” He explains.

“Yeah, it depends on how you take care of it.” I told him.

I gave him the vitamins in the form of a liquid bottle also explaining how to use them. After talking more with her and she also already knows more information from me, I suggested that she be able to take good care of her plants. They then say selmt stay and go.

“Alan called, in can not come this afternoon, his therapist does not want him burdened with a lot of motion today.” Adrian told.

“So, just you and me.” He grins.

After Kenny came home, the store went quiet, usually when Alan was here, we played and talked, but with Adrian's conversation, it wasn't that easy. Adrian grabs something behind him and pulls out a deck of uno cards.

“You play?” he asked with a big smile that showed his perfect teeth. Uno is my favorite card game, I can punish the losers playing from me.

“Yes, quite interesting because I never lost a game.” He put down our cards and we started playing. The yellow paper card 2 and the rivalry between us grew tense, we both had two cards left and it was Adrian's turn who looked at me with a grin on his face as he planned how he would win. He took his cards and put down two blue cards.

“Oh no!” he said with confidence. I couldn't wait to wipe his arrogant smile off his face, with the same grin, I took my card and shot out four blue cards.

“No!” I said while leaning against my chair, she seemed to be pondering over the next decision, rubbing her hair and rubbing her face. He decided to take the card from the pile of other cards, he regretted as I smiled widely and put down my last card; red.

“I win! Aha!.” I cried while jumping to dance.

“Enjoy the last part.” He said playfully. “You're just lucky.” He challenged me, I could see it from his eyes, I narrowed my eyes at him.

“Alright, we'll see. Put some more cards together. And let's play again.”

We played five rounds and I won four of them.

“Yes, I'm fine, as I thought, luck is only with me.” I tease.

“Yeah, I won't this thing but.... I let you win.” Adrian shrugged his shoulders, looked at me mischievously, my lips pursed.

“You're a liar, I won because I was the best.” I said, putting my hand one on my hip.

“Sure, you keep thinking so.” He winked at me, he provoked me. I walked up to him and put my hand on the back of the chair he was sitting on and leaned closer.

“You can't admit that you lost to a woman.” I accused him. He seemed pleased with the difficulties I was facing, I had no idea how close we were, I felt his breath coming out of his nose.

“No, I admit that I've been beaten by you and I know you miss a little bit for not beating me lately.” He said get closer to me, but I didn't move back.

My heart was pounding as I watched his eyes drop to my lips and then back to my eyes, I knew he was starting to play around with me, and all I wanted to see was the result.

As we got closer, I grew impatient to want to soften his lips with mine, one of us had to push our heads so we could slaing kiss, as Adrian was about to move his head closer to me, the fire alarm startled us, the sprinkler overhead lit up and started wetting us within minutes, Adria grabbed me and pulled me out, I looked up but there was no smoke or fire coming from the store. All I saw was a dark shadow illuminated by the car lights.

My phone suddenly shook in my pocket.

“Other times it's bukn false alarm, it's just bluff for you.”
