The raindrops fell from the sky slowly and gracefully. Anastasya opened the window in her room and took a deep breath. The air was fresh and cold, it was just like the other days but, he felt today was very special. He doesn't know why, maybe it's some kind of hunch.
Flashback to previous day ...
The drizzle still falls around the gazebo. Anastasya closed his eyes with his head still on Alex's shoulder. If only every day was like this. That would be so amazing. Every day would be a beautiful day for him.
Why does he feel like this?
Is it wrong what Anastasya feels for her? Does Alex feel the same way for him? Or just think of him as a friend?
Anastasya looked at him, her eyes closed. She looks so cute, she even looks cute. And he likes it, well he likes it, he loves it, he's in love with her.
But is that the right thing? Or maybe it's wrong? Because, maybe Alex has another life, because at the moment everything is not clear in his mind. Because he's in love with someone else? No!!! NAY! That's not possible!
But what if Alex falls in love with someone else? What if he already has someone in his life?
"This is not true." Anastasya muttered to herself as she sat down properly, lifting her head off her shoulders.
I'll ask him. I'll ask him if he's in love with someone else or not tomorrow! Well, definitely ! He promised himself.
"What's wrong? Hmm?" Alex suddenly asked.
"Let's go. I feel cold here," he replied with a small smile as he stood up. They were walking around in the corridor, while Anastasya's heart ached.
End of flashback ...
Today is that day. On the day I'm gonna ask him if he's already had someone in his life, well. And if he asks why, what will I say? Well, maybe I'd say that I asked just out of curiosity, yeah. Anastasya.
An hour later Anastasya was ready and wandering in the corridor. He walks into the hall, hoping to see Alex sitting at his usual table. He was very surprised because Alex was not there. Maybe he'll be late today.
He waited a few more minutes but Alex never came. How annoying he is.
"He's not here," a nurse suddenly said as she passed by, "He's with the doctor."
"Did anything happen to her?" I asked, his heart racing.
"He woke up early today. I think he's got nightmares about the war." The nurse explained, "He's becoming a bit cruel."
"What?" Anastasya grimaced with fear.
"Don't worry," the nurse reassured him, "The doctors took care of him."
After that he left and Anastasya just stared at his food. He's being rude again? Butwhy? He looked fine yesterday. Mumbled.
Anastasya forced herself to eat but after a few bites she stopped eating it. There was something heavy in his throat that prevented him from eating. It always happened when he was feeling very anxious.
Nothing's sorted out. She now felt like crying but she couldn't. He had to be strong, so he went walking outside in the park where drizzle covered the ground.
"Ah, okay!" someone shouted a few meters away, "I don't care. You don't have permission to do so. UNDERSTAND?!"
Who screams like this ?
He walks towards the source of the voice to find out and sees Jason's doctor yelling at a group of workers wearing uniforms.
"What's going on?" Anastasya asked timidly. He always looks a bit intimidating when he's angry.
"Nothing," he replied angrily, "Some people think they can keep their wares in this park because their vehicle has just had an accident."
"Oh," Anastasya flinched, "Is anyone hurt?"
"Nothing," one of the men said as he looked at her, "Fortunately, just a rather damaged vehicle."
"Stay still" another man added. He's got a cigar in his mouth, "The vehicle's broken. Now we can't keep that merchandise on the street, can we? All of that is very expensive!"
"So you think you can bring him here from the back gate without anyone noticing?" the doctor said in anger.
"Look here doc," the guy with the cigar started, "That's not my problem. Once our other vehicles come, we will move our merchandise into them. It won't kill anyone if we keep it here for a few minutes. One of our vehicles is on the way. "
"If we hadn't seen, maybe you'd have kept your things in the hospital." Doctor Jason shouted, "And this is very dangerous!"
"In the hospital garden," the man corrected her with a grin.
"What kind of merchandise is this?" Anastasya asked curiously.
"Hacking," one of the workers replied happily, "The new year is coming soon. So we have to deliver these firecrackers in all the stores."
"I've had enough of all this! I'll call security." Doctor Jason sighed as he left.
Large boxes of firecrackers were stacked in front of each other. Everything looks a bit heavy and expensive too. Surely all of it will explode beautifully in the sky, with a loud voice, Anastasya thought. And I don't think anything bad could have happened if they kept them here for a few minutes. My guess.
Bang !!!!!!
He quickly turned around to see what was causing the commotion, his heart racing now. For a few seconds everything calmed down and then he saw it.
"Catch her!" someone shouted.
The door of the main building slammed quickly and Alex ran as fast as he could from there. Anastasya's heart skipped a beat right then and there.
"Anastacia.." Alex spoke as he stopped in his tracks.
Anastasya pondered on her face for a while, tears rolling down her cheeks. He looked frustrated, and some sadness was also visible in his eyes.
"What happened to you, my soldier?" Anastasya asked inwardly.
"Catch her!" the previous voice shouted even louder and a battalion of doctors rushed towards him.
Anastasya immediately ran and left from the sight of people. "Alex!" Anastasya shouted as she ran towards the direction she took before disappearing.
Anastasya ran and ran, her hair moving in all directions due to the wind, but she did not care. He has to find it, Alex doesn't look healthy at all. Alex needs him now and he knows he has to.
"Alex!" he called out and more tears flowed down his cheeks. There was no response.
Anastasya ran as fast as possible towards the lake while the doctors looked around. He must find her first.
"Alex!" he called again, his voice filled with pain. No more answers.
"Where are you?" Anastasya whispered to himself, looking everywhere.
After a few minutes, he started walking back to the area where the pile of boxes was stored. Maybe he went back there.
"Hey.. You can't hide here." one of the workers suddenly shouted.
Anastasya was a bit away from them, but he could see Alex fighting with the worker who had a cigar in his mouth.
"Let me do what I want!" Alex yells and pushes the man who then stumbles and falls over the boxes, his cigar flies and falls back next to him.
"Alex!" Anastasya cried as she started advancing towards him faster.
Meanwhile, the man who fell on top of the box got up angrily and grabbed his neck collar, "Who do you think you are?"
Tack ... tack ... tack ....
"Let her go," Anastasya shouted, "She's not well."
"You think you're tough?" the worker continued in the same tone.
"Remove your hands off me!" alex's yelling gave him a punch.
What's this smell?
"Stop that!" Shouted Anastasya, now running towards them.
Alex was too busy fighting in the meantime...
Uhmmm this smells like something burning?
"Oh no!" Anastasya suddenly screamed, realizing what the voice meant, "Go from there! The firecracker is about to explode!"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Alex!!!" Anastasya screamed in horror as she watched the firecracker boxes explode in front of her.
Before he knew it, he felt a pair of hands holding him back. "Don't!" someone said. It was Jason's doctor.
Anastasya is already lunging towards Alex!
I don't want to lose him. He can't die. No ! He thought as his heart throbbed and his eyes glared.
"Alex!" Anastasya shouted again, tears gushing out from his red eyes.
The next moment all the workers started running in all directions with panicked expressions on their faces, but Alex remained standing between the flames and the sparks.
"Do something doctor!" Anastasya.
MM !!!!!!!!!!
Another firecracker explosion. And the fire is getting bigger.
Anastasya's heart shattered into pieces as she watched Alex lose balance between the blazing flames and suddenly fall.
