Be My Soldier Forever

Be My Soldier Forever
Ep. 21

Alex drives his car and turns on the narrow street. As he drove, he could see some people opening their windows and exiting their homes with sleepy faces while some others ran around.

Very early in the morning and Alex left before breakfast. No one knew he was leaving and he believed it was the best. He'll be right back.

Alex couldn't sleep well from last night. She kept dreaming that Clara was laughing at her for being so stupid to believe her that she loved her. But, there was no time to think about it all, he had to fulfill the promise he made to someone.

"My life no longer has feelings" he murmured to himself, "at least I can make him happy and better."

Half an hour later, he arrived in front of the hospital and rushed out of his car. It was a very cold morning.

As he walked through the hospital gates, he turned to some people but he did not find them and every time he saw the doctors and nurses, he knew he had to say hello to them. Those people helped him a lot.

He knocked on Jason's office door twice and was given permission to enter.

"Good morning" Alex smiled as he walked in.

"Hey Mr Alex?" the doctor said in a tone of confusion, "great surprise! What are you doing here? Is everything okay?"

"Well, sure." Alex nodded with a smile, "I'm fine, but I'm not here for me, I am...."

Alex took a deep breath, "I came here to see Anastasya, where is she?"

Doctor Jason looked at her, "You don't know?" doctor says.

"Know what?" Alex asked.

"She's been cured for a long time, she's been staying in the hospital just to keep you company." The answer.

Alex feels like he's thrown thousands of bricks. Nah! It looks like it was hit by a truck carrying thousands of bricks.

"What's? What did you say doctor?" Alex gasps.

"Sit, Sir!" Doctor Jason suggested in a calm tone.

"I can't sit!" Alex yelled, "What's going on here? Anastasya is a mental patient, right?"

"Anastasya was indeed a mental patient, but she had been cured for a long time after a few days when you entered this hospital and it was time for her to leave." Doctor explained.

What Alex heard, that Anastasya was not a mental patient anymore all this time and he was cured it made him shocked.

"Why? Why would he stay if he's cured?"

"Why is he staying" the doctor continued, "the reason is very clear, he is standing before me."

Alex's eyes widened and he dropped himself on the chair. He lives just for me! He just stayed for me. Those were the words that echoed in his mind. All this time, he spent time with her just for her.

"He wants to see you heal" continued the doctor.

"But why?" Alex asked himself.

Hearing this, the doctor smiled to himself, "I think you know why."

"She looked very sad yesterday, very sad because I was leaving and I meanly told her that I had to go. Though he's done a lot for me and I can't even repay him." Alex said with tears in his eyes.

"Anastasya.." whispered Alex as he closed his eyes. Alex took a deep breath then opened his eyes again, "So, where is he now?"

"But, doesn't he have a relative, a phone number or his home address" Alex said quickly.

"Alex," the doctor started out in a loud voice, "Anastasya has no one in this world. She had no family, she grew up in an Orphanage."

"What?" Alex gasped in shock, his heart breaking hearing that. How could such a kind and gentle person not have a family.

"His husband, after he left the orphanage, lived alone in a small apartment he rented. I know, she works at a flower shop, too. The employees there noticed his behavior and they brought him here. He didn't argue when he was brought here, they just wanted him healed and he stayed here for three months and then yesterday...." Doctor explained.

"Yesterday?" Alex asked, feeling his heart beating fast.

"Yesterday he cried a lot, He was very sad and he told me that if he wanted to go home, he didn't want to wait until morning. He told me where to go and drove her to his apartment" Dr. Jason said.

"Where is the apartment?" Alex asked suddenly.

"I can't tell you" said the doctor.

"Why can't you tell me." Alex replied in annoyance.

"That's personal information" Jason's doctor replied.

"I need to know" Alex insisted.

"Why?" the doctor asked, "if he leaves, this means he doesn't want to see you.

"I don't know why he left like this, but all I know is that I have to meet him!" Alex replied in a decided tone, "now will you help me or not?"

The doctor looked at her for a while, then sighed, "Alright, but if she asks you don't tell her that I told you the address."

"Okeh," Alex grinned, "you always help me, you're a good doctor."

"Well whatever it is," said the doctor and the two started laughing, "you always manage to make some trouble, don't you?

"Well that's normal for me" Alex joked.

Alex's black pajero car is brutally stopped in front of Anastasya's apartment. Alex rushed out of his car and climbed the stairs as quickly as possible and it took a long time to get here, this apartment building is very far from the hospital.

"Excuse me," Alex suddenly called out as he looked at the guard, "Good morning, can you tell me where Anastasya lives?"

"Anastasiya?" The man replied, "I don't know Anastasya."

"Anastasya, a brunette girl," Alex said in a desperate tone, "she came here from last night."

"Oh. that girl," the guard said, "but she just left a few minutes ago."

"What?" Alex cried, "but where?"

"I don't know sir" said the guard.

"Do you know when he'll be back?" Alex asked with a lot of hope.

"He didn't say anything" the man replied, seemingly thinking, "but I think he'll come back. He just took his suitcase and left."

At once Alex was frustrated and she no longer knew where she should go looking for him.
