Ep. 70

The next morning, everyone was silent, all that could be heard was the clanking of the tableware. Each one of us is stuck with the problems I face.

“What we will do?” Adrian asked. But there's nothing we can do.

“The question we have to ask is what he will do if he sees Alice.” Alan said as he stared intently at his plate.

“I'm just careful enough, I'll make sure to close my shop early and park the car closer from the store.” I said it in a whisper.

“But what if he comes to the store?” Adrian asked again.

“Kenny da there with me, she won't hurt me if there are other people around me.” It seemed that it was enough to satisfy the two of them, as they physically relaxed their tensed muscles and leaned more loosely onto their seats.

Our conversation ended after that. I was really agitated in the shop, I kept looking at my shoulder and even though it was bright outside, all the lights in the shop were on as well. Kenny could feel my discomfort and kept trying to lighten the mood with jokes and small talk but it didn't work. I was stuck in my shop, Alan and Adrian took my car and went to buy a car for themselves, with the money they saved in their bank account, they had enough money to buy a car. They came with a new car after three hours, the Pajero Sport car in a smooth and shiny condition, they both bought it at a fairly expensive price. After that they went home, and Kenny and I stayed here.

As the sun begins to hang low in the sky, the clouds begin to change color to Orange, Kenny's father suddenly enters the hospital due to an accident. Now that I was alone, I locked the door and closed the curtains, the weather outside started to turn from sunny to stormy. Angina blows hard outside, so do the trees, the leaves are pounding hard, the hymn descends and begins to wet the tnah. The lights started to blink. I was in my study, now the clock starts showing at six o'clock in the afternoon and I have to pull over, I collect my things, I close my workroom door and lock it, then I turn around. My eyes kept on the front door, as I walked towards the door, suddenly the lights went out all, I stopped in my way trying to look around me, adjusting to the darkness. I took a breath, I began to tremble and as I took the alngkah forward, a hand covered my mouth and an arm wrapped around my waist.

“Halo Alice, it's been a long time yah.” A sly and sickening voice whispered in my ear. That's Stefan's voice. My breath started choking, I started trying to catch my heartbeat, I wanted to tell him to let me go and leave, but my throat prevented my neck and my mouth from talking.

“Now, don't try to complicate myself.” He growled in my ear, his hand raising my mouth slowly, making sure I wouldn't scream.

“What do you want?” I tried to keep my voice down, but his voice then broke at the end of my sentence. I could feel her grin on her lips as she began to answer.

“I think, it's pretty obvious!” he said as he placed his hand on my shoulder, he twisted my body so I faced him.

“I came here to destroy your life.” He growled at me. My sense of self suddenly began to bubble up inside me and pointed a finger right in front of his face, charging at him boldly while looking at him intently.

“You ruined my life. When I met you, all you did was wake me up and knock me down, beat me. But I won't let you do it again.” I yelled at him, made my voice even louder, as loud as I could, Stefan knew how serious I was, but it didn't bother him, he took my hand, grabbed my wrist and squeezed it. I immediately felt a tremendous pain, tears stung my eyes and I desperately tried to remove my wrist from his grasp.

“Remember this Alice, you can't run away from me, I can't hide. It may take months or years, but I will always find you, and the more I try to disappear and evade, the harsher your punishment will be.” Said. When I heard his last statement, I felt something sharp hurt me, it hurt, it hurt, it pierced my arm, tears fell on my face and I could see a sadistic smile on Stefan's face, he's happy to see me like this, he's happy to see me in pain. She dropped my wrist and I held onto my chest while moaning and sobbing.

“Until we meet again, Alice.” As he walked out, I knew what he said to me was a promise and a threat to me.
