The next day, Frans went to visit his mother. He looked as weak as ever.
"Mom?"
"Frans, baby." Anastasya's head turned towards his son. He tried hard to smile.
"I have good news, Mom." Frans walked up to him and held his hand.
"What is that, baby?"
"He said yes."
"What?"
"I proposed to Vania and the answer was, she said yes."
"That's amazing, baby." Anastasya gave a smile.
"Yes, Mom. I've never loved anyone else in my life."
"Mom's happy you chose her." Anastasya placed her hand on Frans' cheek. He knew that Vania was a person from the very beginning.
"Me too, mom. I want to talk to you. Van!" Vania walked over with a big smile on her face.
"Come, Van. I want to see it." Anastasya said anxiously. Vania walked up to him and extended her left hand. Anastasya grabbed his ring finger and looked at the ring. "Beautiful."
"My choice is very good." Frans blushed.
"I'll take whatever you give." Vania says.
"You love her so much, don't you?"
"Of course, I love her so much." They're all smiling. "Mom, can I ask you something?"
"Of course it's dear."
"Do you want to be my sidekick when we get married?”
"Of course, baby." Tears filled Anastasya's eyes.
"You deserve that position."
Anastasya was a second mother to her. He wanted to ask if he wanted to walk down the aisle, but he would do so later.
"By pleasure." He is honored.
"Great. We've decided to carry it out on Saturday."
"three days, right." She laughs.
"Yes, three days away."
"We want you there." Frans
"I'll be there. I promise."
The next three days, everyone seemed very busy. The wedding of Frans and Vania was finally delivered and the dress and suit were all ready. They decided to have their wedding in the backyard of Frans' house. They do not want a big and luxurious wedding. They don't care what it is as long as they can legally marry. That day, Anastasya was allowed out. She was wearing a beautiful blue dress. Vania was still getting ready, so Anastasya decided to see Frans.
"You look so pretty, Mom." Frans said while looking at his mother. Her skin was pale, but she still looked beautiful.
"And you look so handsome. My kid. My son is getting married." Tears filled his eyes.
"Please don't cry, Mom. You're gonna make me cry."
"Sorry." Anastasya laughed and wiped her tears before descending. Frans started fixing the tie.
"Thank you for being here, Mom."
"Mom promised you, and I always kept my word."
"I love you so much, ma'am." Frans hugged him tightly.
"I love you too, my son." He was very proud of his son. He always followed his heart and he was very happy.
"Oh well Vania will soon be out of her room you get ready and go downstairs." She laughs.
"See you below," Anastasya walked out and into Vania's room, which was her room. "Wow." Vania turned.
"What do you think, ma'am?"
"You look so pretty."
"Thank you." She smiles.
"Where did you get this dress?"
"It belongs to my mother." He stroked the cloth with his finger, imagining his mother.
"Beautiful." Anastasya reached out to embrace her. "I know you miss him."
"It's a long time."
"Thank you for always being there for me." She was grateful that even though she lost her mother, she still had one more.
"Thank you for accepting Frans' proposal and living with him."
"Sure mother," Vania let go of a hug. "Mr ..."
"Yes?"
"Will you take me down?"
"Of course." Anastasya was honored. He couldn't believe how much he meant to her. They both smiled and walked out. Before walking down the hallway, they heard a voice so crowded. The door opened and they walked. Frans looked at Vania in amazement. She couldn't believe Vania was so beautiful. Bram himself, became Frans' companion, and on the other hand there was a priest and seeing the love of his life walking down the aisle with his mother, he felt happy. He knew this was supposed to happen. They are destined to be together. Vania stopped right in front of him. Vania gave Frans' mother a bouquet of flowers and faced Frans in front. The priest said the words.
"What are you, Frans. A Samuel, think of Vania as your lawful wife?"
"Yes." Yeah." He was surprised that he could say something with all the excitement.
"Do you, Vania, consider Frans A. Samuel as your legally valid husband?"
"Yes." Yeah." Tears flowed down his cheeks. This moment means a lot to him.
"I am now announcing that you are lawfully husband and wife. You can kiss your bride." Frans kissed Vania. Then after that pull away from each other, Frans whispered.
"We're finally getting married."
"Yes, sure." They smiled and kissed again. After the crazy period they experienced together, they managed to reach this point. They finally got married. They forget all the bad things in their lives for a second and take this moment. They're happy. They know that they should get married, because they can't wait for each other. They want their mother to be there too, on their wedding day. Vania had secretly wanted Frans because she was afraid of losing Frans. He can't just rely on Frans' words if he's going to be okay. He wants to marry her and live happily. Vania does not care if she has to accelerate her marriage as well as Frans. Frans was eager to be his, legally. They don't care how old they are, because it doesn't matter.
Love will always beat time and age.
After the ceremony, the reception begins. They danced together. Frans could not take his eyes off of Vania. Vania smiled at him. After they danced, everyone joined them. Not many people were there, but they managed to make the party extraordinary. Then, their wedding cake came out and they put it on each other's faces. They both laughed and gave each other a piece of cake. People started coming home, Frans and Vania were still dancing together, alone outside. His head was on his chest and his chin was on top of his head. They both felt complete in each other's arms.
"So, what's it like to be Miss Frans Vania Samuel?" She asked.
"I feel very happy with all this.”
A month later, Frans and Vania's relationship grew stronger. They can't stay away from each other. They are happy, but not with their mother. He's dying. Anastasya knew, this was very painful for him. The pain is getting more overwhelming. She cried every night, but was too weak to do that. When Frans and Vania come, she makes sure she looks as strong as ever. The pain is getting uncontrollable. Anastasya decided not to take her medicine anymore, she knew it would not help. He knew he was going to die and no one could stop that. That day when she felt it was the last day for her, Frans, Vania, and Bram came. He tried his hardest to keep smiling, but he couldn't. Frans could sense something was wrong.
"Mom, is everything okay?" He asked, worried.
"Yes, honey. Everything's fine." She lies.
"Mom, I know you lied to me. It seems you can't breathe anymore." It's scary to see her mother like this.
"Should I call a doctor?" Valerie suggested.
"No, I just want you all to come here." She grabs Frans and Vania's hand, Vania grabs Bram's. "I have to tell you something." He continued. He knew he had to tell them.
"What's up, Mom?" Ask Frans.
"You're the best family I've ever had. Vania, I'm so glad you're finally getting married to my son. You guys are so good with each other. Your love is amazing.. Bram, one day you will also find your true love and I hope you can live happily ever after like your brother here. Frans, my sweet child, without you I don't know how I could live my days. As soon as your father leaves, you become the head of the household. Everyone has a purpose in life, and now, today is my goal. I know you hate hearing this, but I'd rather you know than just let it go." He tried his best to smile, but he knew that nothing could make this better. Anastasya left them even though she actually did not want to because she had no choice.
"Is this a joke, ma'am?" Frans asked, tears filling his eyes.
"No, Honey. Don't worry about mom. It's okay, mom will be fine. I'll meet Vania and Bram's mother." That's the only thing that makes him happy, reuniting with his best friend.
"You can't go. Mom, please don't go." His hands tightened in his hands, afraid that his mother would leave him in a moment.
"Mother does not control destiny. We all have time, and mother's time has come." He slowly kissed their cheeks. Then, they all hugged each other and then looked at her. "Hey, mom will be fine.” They all wiped their tears. He wiped his tears. "Bram, I know you're a strong man as well as you are Vania, I know you'll be fine. But Frans, what about you, son?" He wanted to know if his son would be okay.
"What about me?" His voice was low, Anastasya barely heard it.
"Are you going to be okay?" His eyebrows shot up as he waited for his answer.
"Mother is dying! How do you guys wish I could be okay." His eyebrows furrowed as his voice rose. Frans knew he would be devastated if his mother left.
"Frans, I don't want you to be sad. I want you to be happy." And Frans did. He didn't want Frans to be unhappy because of him.
"I don't think I can be happy." Voice broke.
"Van, will you take care of her?" The only other person she could trust in this life to look after Frans was herself.
"Of course, mom.."
"I love you guys so much. Really, --" Anastasya tried her best to keep smiling as her eyes began to close.
"Mom? Ma? Ma!" Frans was crying loudly. "Mom! Nah! Ma!" His heart rate's gone.
Vania took Frans and hugged him tightly. She cried herself and watched her brother and husband cry, she wanted to explode.
"Mom !!" The doctor came and took the three of them out of the room. "Mom! Nah! Don't take me away from him!" Vania just hugged him tightly. Bram stopped crying and just looked at Frans. He had never seen Frans like this before; frans was always strong.
A few hours later, Vania managed to calm him down. They sat in a chair waiting to hear something. Frans could not bear it; he got up and started walking.
"Where are you going?" Vania asked.
"Street around." Loud voice.
"i'm coming with you." He wakes.
"No, I want to be alone!" He can't look at her. He kept walking.
