Be My Soldier Forever

Be My Soldier Forever
Ep. 55

That night, Frans had a dream that he was leaving for the border The dream frightened him because he went to guard the Border and would never return. Vania has to raise her children alone, and she sees as their children grow up, they ask their mother where their father is and Vania starts crying. Frans quickly opened his eyes. He thanked God that it was just a dream and that it was early morning and he did not have to go back to sleep. He did not want to fall back asleep and have nightmares again.

He had no choice but to go to the Border. He kept telling himself that he would definitely return, even though he could not convince himself that he would come back alive this time or not. She looks over at the side of Vania's bed and sees that Vania is not there next to her She gets up and walks into her nursery. It turned out that Vania was there, her beautiful angel, nursing her baby. He looked at her and smiled.

"Good morning, baby." She said.

"Good morning." Frans approached and kissed her. They're very happy. The entire room was filled with baby cries, fights, laughter, and so much love. They all sat at the dining table. Alan and Alice were with them.

"So Bram, are you behaving well in school today?" Vania asked.

"Yes, Van. I told you, I'd have changed." He smiled, showing his pride.

"good. I haven't gotten a call from your principal in a week. So go on." They kept eating and then Vania got up to answer the phone.

"Let me pick up the phone, baby." Frans wakes.

"No, it's okay. Just let me. I get it." He walked into the kitchen and picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Frans Samuel, please." A voice spoke.

"I'm sorry, I'm his wife."

"Is your husband busy right now?"

"Yes. Is there a message you want to give her?"

"Tell him that Lieutenant William called and he should be at the Border tomorrow." Vania just shut up. "If not, we have no choice but to come to your house and arrest him. He should be here for six months. Did you hear me?"

"Yes, I'll tell my husband." His voice was low like a whisper.

"Thank you." He put down the phone. Valerie hand extended her hand to her mouth as she started to want to scream.

"Why did you speak so long?" Frans said he walked in. Frans looked at her and darted, trying to hug her. "What's going on, baby?"

"Lieutenant William called, you must come tomorrow." She pushed.

"Darling, stop crying." He tried to grab her hand.

"No, you promised! To me."

"You knew? I've had enough of all this. I'll call him now and say ‘no’ to him. My family needs me, you need me. I'm not leaving you." He turned and grabbed the phone.

"No!  If you do that. You'll be arrested. I don't want that. I'll lose you more." Her tears dropped even faster as she realized there was no point getting out of this situation.

"What if you don't come back?"

"I'll be back. That's my promise, Vania." Frans pulled back Vania's body and grabbed her face with both hands.

"Van, I'll be back, alive. You won't be alone. I'm going back. I promise." He hugged her tightly. "I promise, baby."

Next day..

Vania can't say goodbye like Frans' departure last time, she has to stay with the kids. So at the front door, Frans put on her uniform and she hugged Vania tightly. Babies crying. They don't understand what's going on, but they do, their father's gone. She hugged Bram, the baby with a warm kiss and walked towards Vania again.

"I can't believe you're leaving me." Vania said, tears fell on her face.

"I'll be back before you know it." Frans wiped his tears.

"alright. I'll be fine." They kissed each other and hugged each other for the last time. "I don't feel like letting go of this hug."

"I don't either."

Taxi stops right in front of the house, “Piip”. Frans looked at Vania. "I love you so much, baby. Know it. You have made me the happiest person. You gave me two children I love so much. I have an amazing brother, and I have you. The best thing in my life if our mother were here, she would be so happy to be with all of us. I'll be back in the next six months, and then I'll never leave you again, that's my promise."

Frans kissed. "I love you. I love you all." Frans walked away, tears streaming down. He stood next to the car door and waved his hand. They all watched Frans get into a taxi and leave.

Bram goes inside with Alice and Alan. Vania remained next to the door crying. Bram walked back to his sister. He hugged her tightly.

"He'll be back. You know Frans well, right? He's good at fighting, he won't give up. He'll come back alive." Bram.

"I can't live without him." Vania stared at the empty street, where she used to be. She was crying out loud.

"I know, Cup cup cup, it's okay." Bram comforted her until she calmed down. After the Vania calmed down a bit, they walked back inside and she made dinner. They all sat at the dining table. Vania was staring at the empty seat where Frans usually sat. Then a hand appeared in his hand, he turned towards Bram. "Are you okay?"

"Yes. Bram." He smiled and fed his angels, then took them to bed. He went to his bed and went to sleep. If Frans is not really here, at least he can be with her in his dreams.

Nick was on the plane, on his way to his destination. While on the plane, he thought of his family.

The plane eventually landed and met with Lieutenant William. They shake hands.

"Frans, good to see you." Lieutenant greeted.

"Together, sir." They started walking.

"I'm sorry you had to leave your family. I know it must be very hard for you."

"Yes, Sir. But being in misery won't keep me alive, sir."

"And that's why you're always the best on the field." They go to the field. When they get there, Frans greets some familiar men. Then he saw the Captain.

"Sir." Frans said as he shook his hand.

"It's good to have you here, Frans." The captain smiled and walked away. Frans walked into his room with several other men and sat on his bed. He took a picture of his family. He kissed her and put her in his pocket. He then went out and performed his duty.
