Ep. 14

Anastasya and Alex walk into Jason's doctor's office because Anastasya has promised that they will visit him early. Anastasya is happy that Alex agreed to come with her in her office, at least she did not say sarcastic things.

When they entered Doctor Jason's office, they saw him sitting at his desk, talking on the phone. Upon seeing the two of them, he gestured for them to sit down without a word. It seemed that he was having a very important discussion and could not immediately hang up the phone.

Both Alex and Anastasya were waiting patiently and suddenly Alex decided to say a few sentences.

"Well, that's what we call manners," he began in an annoyed tone, "Call us here to see her talking to someone else."

"Sssstttt Alex!!!" Anastasya said in a calm tone but with furrowed brows.

"There's nothing I'm doing here anyway," he continued, "But to be honest .. watching guys talk on the phone isn't one of my favorite pastimes, you know ..."

"Alex, please shut up!" Anastasya raised her voice slightly.

"Yes .. I will call you back Barry," Doctor Jason suddenly said, looking at the two people sitting in front of him.

"Yes Barry," Alex said loudly, "Stop bothering people at work!"

As the doctor hung up, he observed them for a few seconds.

"What?" Alex said, "Do we look so amazing that you can't stop looking at us?"

Before Anastasya had time to say anything, there was a knock at the door and a nurse came in.

"Doctor," he began, "I need to give you new information about Alex's patient."

"No problem." the doctor nodded, "I'm beginning to understand. You can go. Let me talk to him."

"Okay, doctor," he replied before leaving.

Silence arrived and the doctor continued to stare at them for a few seconds.

"Yes!" Alex said impatiently, "You're completely aware that if you just talk in your mind, we won't be able to hear you!"

Anastasya immediately laughed at the words. The doctor's eyes fell on Anastasya.

"I'm sorry," Anastasya smiled at him, "Just he's so funny ... sometimes ...."

The silence came back again.

"I need to talk to you two about something very serious" Dr. Jason began.

"Wow !!! About time....." Alex added.

"Alex, quiet!" doctor Jason said, "It's about what happened to you. I don't want that to happen again. No patient is allowed to go out at night for no illogical reason! And since the two of you seem to ignore this rule, so some nurses will be watching over the two of you! "

"Me too?!?" Anastasya shouted loudly.

"Yes of course!" Alex said before the doctor could answer, "Who do you think he's talking to? This book ??"

He now waved the book he found on the table before Anastasya.

"And now Alex," Dr. Jason began, "I know that the rude attitude you display is just a mask to hide any emotion that hurts you from within your heart."

At that moment, the captain's face changed color.

"Since when did he start acting like this, Anastasya?" the doctor asked as he pulled the file out of the drawer.

"Yes ..." Anastasya pondered over the matter for a while, "... yeah! After meeting his family."

He thought for a moment before saying, "Well. And I don't see any reason other than that."

Alex said nothing.

"Alex," Dr. Jason patiently said,

"You know you can share something with me?"

"No, you can't, I'll have lunch" Alex replied, his eyes staring at the shoes.

"I'm not talking about your lunch" the doctor replied, "It's about you. Tell me what's bothering you."

"Nothing," Alex replied.

After a few seconds of silence, the doctor told her that she could leave, but Anastasya had to stay.

After she leaves, Anastasya has to ask Jason's doctor

"What else?"

"I have to meet his family" he replied, writing something in his file, "I have to know what happened. In the meantime, try to have a serious talk with him about how bright his future is. Tell him to stop living in the past. "

"I will try my best" Anastasya nodded at the doctor.

 

In the afternoon, Anastasya joined the nurses in the room they were decorating and luckily she managed to bring Alex who was in a very bad mood with her.

"Why did you bring me here?" he said furiously, crossing his arms.

"alright. You have a mission," Anastasya smiled at him, "Your mission is to help us decorate this room. We're going to celebrate doctor Jason's birthday party!"

"That asshole?!?" Alex retorted with a frown.

"Be careful with your language!" Anastasya said coldly, "He's not a jerk! He's a kind doctor who takes care of me and he's taken care of you too so you should respect him! He did everything he could to help you recover, you know! And if you don't cooperate, nothing will work. Listen Alex! I don't know what happened to your family, but I do know something hurt you, right? If you remember it every second of your life, then you can never move forward. You're being rude to everyone just because you feel pain? Everyone was feeling Alex's pain, but that didn't mean they had to yell at everyone. You're a strong man, you know that. So, concentrate on your life for the better, you will see how happy you are. And by contributing to this surprise party, you'll see that it will make you happier. I know it's hard at first but, try to see the brightest things in your life. You're not alone, we're all here for you. And I'll be here for you, my soldier! Well .. I mean my soldiers .. well that's enough I say. let's go inside .... "

Anastasya then quickly walked to the other side of the room and started putting some decorations on the windows. He could not help but wonder if everyone heard how fast his heart was beating! He says everything he wants to say in one go and now wonders how Alex feels.

What I said about him being 'my soldier' was strange, he thought as he quit his job.

Besides, Alex didn't say anything. He just walked silently and accepted whenever someone asked him to help them without a word.
