Ep. 40

Some time passed...

“Where have you been?” Anastasya smiled at the little girl.

“I was looking at these flowers, bu“ replied the little girl.

“Wah everything is so beautiful, isn't it?” Anastasya said, “I really like everything.”

The atmosphere looked silent, and suddenly the little girl broke the atmosphere of silence,

“Kakak is also very fond of these flowers?”

“Yes, of course dear,” replied Anastasya, still admiring the flowers.

“dan.. Dad?”

Anastasya's eyes immediately glazed over as Alex's face appeared in her mind.

“bu.. I miss Dad very much.” said the girl in a sad tone.

“I also miss him, baby,” Anastasya said as she recalled all the wonderful moments she had with Alex.

“I'm sure dad also likes these flowers.”

Anastasya whispered as she knelt down and hugged her daughter.

“I miss her so much, mother,” said the girl sobbing.

“I know,” Anastasya whispered back

'Our life is incomplete without you Alex' thought Anastasya, he felt his heart ache.

'I need you and your family needs you.'

“What mothers often think about fathers?”

The little girl suddenly asked as she tilted her head to look at her mother.

“ya.. always dear,” Anastasya replied while wiping her daughter's tears.

It was now 2pm and Anastasya began to put her children to sleep.

“bu... I want to play,” said his son while yawning.

Anastasya laughed, “You two should take a break, okay?”

“Okay, well bu” replied the children seem not too happy.

“goodnight the twins!” he said happily and left the room to go out; to the park.

As soon as he arrived outside he started to see the flowers and suddenly he heard a noise from the bushes. Anastasya immediately turned around and looked around.

“who's there?” Anastasya.

There's no answer.

“I know there are people around here, so answer me!” she asked.

Being a parent for 4 years is enough to make it more considerate.

Suddenly someone hugged her, “now I know, you look so beautiful every day, among these flowers you look

more beautiful..”

“you're stupid!” Anastasya shouted as she tried to free herself from the embrace, “you didn't tell me you were home today! Alex, why? How can you do that?”

“Your husband is back from the task force

after months and here's how you welcome him?” the man grinned

to him.

“Alex, do you know how much I miss you!” he said back, “aku...”

“sssttt, I know.” whispered while hugging her tightly, “don't cry. I'm here now. I miss you all so much too!”

Anastasya looked at him and could not stop his tears from falling on his cheeks.

“I love you so much,” she whispered with teary eyes and Alex began to kiss her passionately.

As their kiss ended, Anastasya looked at her face happily. He looked tired and there were dark circles under his eyes. He was really happy to be with his wife again.

“I love you too Alex..

I haven't seen you for so long, it's like a dream come true.” he whispered, touching his hair.

“They're big?” Alex asked with a smile.

“As usual,” sigh Anastasya.

They heard the door open suddenly.

“Dad!!” that little girl

scream and run towards Alex and jump in his arms.

“My love, do you miss me?” Alex asked him as he lifted his daughter up on his arm and kissed her forehead.

“Very dad!!” he answered and

hugged dad.

Anastasya smiled at the sight

this sight. He feels very happy now. Alex is finally back.

Now he, Alex, the kids will be together!

“I'll tell sister that dad is back!” the little girl cried and her father let her go.

“Be careful dear!” both Anastasya and Alex said in unison.

As soon as they were left together, alex hugged his wife again, “so.. where are we?”

Anastasya smirked and said jokingly, “I don't remember”

“ohh, really?” Alex grinned and both laughed.

“Alright, I remember,” said Anastasya while laughing again.

“no, it's okay I can help you remember it,” Alex whispered softly in his ear.

“Alex! Now tell me how everything is? What went well?” Anastasya asked her, “we will

have plenty of time to make love, don't worry.”

“Everything went very well there, you don't have to worry about that.” he replied with a smile and hugged her, “and I have a surprise for you and the kids.”.

“What?” the woman asked in an excited tone, now looking into her eyes.

“In the near future I will rise in rank,” replied Alex and hugged Anastasya again, “and I can work in batlyon now.”

“So this means.” anastasya eyes widen.

“Ya my love. I've really worked hard for all this and it seems to finally pay off.” Alex continued, “I don't need to go on duty at the border and I will be able to stay here with all of you as we wish!”

“Oh this is the best news ever, baby!” Anastasya said happily, her eyes twinkling, “you have no idea how happy I am to hear all this!”

“I know,” says Alex, “Even I'm very excited about this. I can finally stay with my family!”

“Ohya?” Anstasya said cheerfully.

“And how is the flower shop?”

Alex asked, “what about your business, my wife?"

“Oh, the florist is doing well as usual!” Anastasia answered.

“It's good. I also have to go and meet mom and dad.” Alex suddenly added.

“Sure,” Anastasya agrees, “I hope we can also meet herry and sarah there.”

“ya,” Alex smiles and

blissfully..

But his condition wasn't very good the day he was shot by lucas. He can still remember it as

yesterday's. After Anastasya fainted on his arm, Alex felt his heart break. Him

don't know what to do. The ambulance arrives at Lucas' house, but Alex refuses

take medical help for themselves when they get to the hospital.

He knew Anastasya was suffering, so he wanted to make sure that Anastasya was okay.

Flashback....

“Please, Doctor!” Alex said as they brought Anastasya in the operating room, “she will be fine, right?”

“don't worry,” Doctor assured him, “we will take care of him.”

He stayed outside, waiting. The doctors said nothing after that.

After a while, his parents, along with herry, sarah and even Clara arrived at the hospital. They're all very worried. Alex is happy that Herry knows the truth now and he is no longer angry with Anastasya.

However, he also noticed a change in Anastasya's attitude. Actually he should have noticed the change at Lucas' own house.

Hopefully the operation is quickly completed after a few hours and Anastasya is out of danger. That's when Alex agreed to seek medical help to treat his head injury. Hopefully, he recovers quickly.

A few days later they

allowed to visit Anastasya. Alex went into the room to see the girl

the one he loved most lay in bed and smiled at him. Him

looks very weak.

“Good morning,” says Alex.

“Pagi..,” Reply Anastasya, “How are you?”

“I'm fine, but you have to tell me how you feel,” Alex quickly added, “tell me Anastasya..”.

“Alex quiet, I'm fine.” Anstasya replied “don't worry about my situation.”

Alex approached him and sat down next to him.

“You sure?” he whispered.

“ya... my love,” she replied.

Alex smiled at him and kissed him on the forehead.

“hemmm ehmm..” someone cleared their throat.

The two looked at the door and saw... Clara.

“Clara,” said Anastasya and began to wonder if she would argue with him.

Clara laughed at the expression

her face, “Don't worry. I'm right here

not to argue with you Anastasya, not with you Alex. I just

want to make sure you are okay. The doctors said you'd recover soon. That's great news.”

Both Alex and Anastasya were waiting for him to continue, unsure of what he would say next.

“And...” he continued, looking out the window, “I also came here to thank you both for saving me.”

Clara then looked towards Anastasya and Alex smiled; a sincere smile.

“Clara,” Alex started, “I have to save you. You don't have to say thank you.”

“No Alex,” says Clara, “I have to say. I'm sorry for getting you in trouble, please forgive me.I also came here to say goodbye to all of you.”

“Goodbye?” Anastsya said curiously.

“Yes, I'll be back to Germany.” Clara said, “I think I need time for myself after all that happened and also my whole family is there.”

Clara looked at them closely, “you taught me what true love is. I realized that you two were meant to be together. And sorry once again, I know I've made a lot of trouble.”

“we have all forgiven you and forgotten this,” said anastasya, “don't worry, Clara. Everything will be fine.”

“Yes, you were right Anastasya,” Clara agreed, “I have to go now. Good luck, best for you!"

“Hopefully the best is also for you,” said Alex and Anastasya.

After that day they never saw Clara again. She returned to her home country and pursued her career as a model. They later heard that Clara became a fashion designer and opened her own boutique.

After leaving the hospital, the family

Alex tells Anastasya to come and stay with them and although Anastasya disagrees at first, she is forced to say yes in the end. They

take good care of her and as Anastasya feels better, she works to

alex's family for some time and one day Alex proposes to him and Anastasya accepts the proposal.

Everyone was happy to hear it and the marriage was celebrated with military tradition with joy. Alex and Anastasya go to live in their own house that Alex bought and that's when Anastasya had the idea to open his own flower shop. Anastasya has worked in a florist before and therefore has a lot of knowledge on how to manage everything.

Soon after, a twin was born and since Alex was still a soldier he had to leave them some time because of work and they would not see him often. But now, Alex knows he doesn't have to leave because he's going to work

right here.

“Stay smiling like this,” he said to his wife as he stroked her cheek.

Anastasya.

The two of them also heard that Lucas had been in prison for some time. He was also diagnosed as a mental patient so they could not hold him in jail longer. Therefore, he was admitted to a mental hospital. After getting better, he went to his house where he lived with his family. He did not harm anyone after the incident.

Alex took a deep breath and

smilingly. Everything's gonna be okay now.

“Dad!” alex's son ran

to him and he hugged him. His little daughter too.

“How are you my son?” Alex asked as he carried her.

“I'm fine dad. You're not going anymore, are you? Father, stay with us now,” said his son.

“Ya of course!” Alex was beaming as she kissed him on the forehead.

“Yeyy!” The boy and girl were crying happily.

“Now let's get in the car, we'll all go to your grandfather's place!” Alex said happily.

Anastasya went to lock the door of the house and they all went to sit in the car.

“Oh by the way,” says

Anastasya,” says anastasya, “Wife

Jason called me the other day he said we were invited to a birthday party

wedding.”

“That's amazing,” Alex smiled back, “a long time ago we didn't meet Doctor Jason. I'm glad she married Lisa.

“Yes me too,” Anastasya agreed, “you remember how much trouble we gave her during being at home

pain..”

“Ohya, he keeps an eye on us!” Alex grinned and the two started laughing.

They drive along the highway to Alex's house, and the twins sing happily along the way.

It was the beginning of great happiness for the whole alex family.
