It's been an hour since Widya sat with Radit on the couch watching television. At first Radit sat on the other sofa, but not long after he moved on the sofa where Widya was sitting. Then Widya felt Radit more and more sitting closer to her. In fact, arguably, the sides of their bodies were now touching each other.
Feeling uncomfortable with the closeness, Widya always shuffled away to put distance between the two of them. The more he shifted, then Radit will do the same until finally Widya cornered at the end of her seat. Unable to hold back her annoyance any longer, Widya scowled angrily at Radit sitting beside her.
"What's wrong with you? Why aren't you acting like you used to?" chirps Widya is upset.
"What do I usually look like?" answer's plain.
"Normally you've never been this aggressive. Did you eat wrong or...." Squinting her eyes, Widya put on a suspicious expression. "You drank it!"
"Drink what do you mean?" radit asked, beginning to get confused.
"Take the medicine Mr. Sugeng gave you on our wedding night" Widya replied confidently. "Aah! Now everything is clear, why are you acting so flirtatious today after we get home. You must have taken the medicine I kept in my dresser, right?"
"What the hell are you talking about, I don't understand."
"Don't pretend to be stupid. It's because of what else you'd be so aggressive, if it wasn't for the fucking drugs."
"Your imagination is too wild. Is it strange that a husband seduces his own wife?"
"Yes, weird," Widya nodded seriously. "If it's someone else it might not be strange, but it's you, you." Widya again raised a suspicious look at Radit.
"I've never taken that medicine. If you don't believe it, just check yourself in your dresser" Radit said, his facial expression showing the slightest feeling of innocence.
Examining Radit's face so closely, Widya looks for signs of lies from the look in her eyes. Surprisingly, he felt that if Radit spoke the truth, his facial expression was very calm, there was no unease at all like a person lying.
Given that her husband had such a virtuous attitude, it was impossible for him to be a typical person who likes to lie, Widya thought in her mind.
Then why is his attitude today so... Unsettling?
"If that's true, why are you so different today?" ask Widya astonished.
"Different, how?"
"First, you asked me to sleep with you. Second, you always look for opportunities to touch me. Third, the words that come out of your mouth are always perverted. Well, now explain to me, why are you doing this?"
Sighing in annoyance, Radit immediately gave his answer. "First of all, married couples sleeping together is not a very strange thing. Second, what's wrong with touching my own wife?. And lastly, I am just teasing you. You're the one who's too stiff to take it so seriously" he mocked. "How, does my explanation answer all of your silly questions?"
Frowning, Widya stood up to walk back and forth in front of Radit who was still sitting quietly in his seat. Stopping her steps, Widya takes the television remote to turn it off. After that, he stood facing Radit at such a close distance.
"Aware of reminding you, we are not a married couple in general. Did you forget that we got married because we had to, not because we loved each other? So, it's only natural that your aggressive attitude today makes me a bit uneasy." Raising next to her eyebrows, Widya waited for what kind of response Radit would give her.
Standing up as well, Radit stepped his legs once, he closed the distance between the two of them. Of course it made Widya alert so she retreated slowly to put some distance between them. Until finally Widya felt the table behind her blocking her back even further as Radit advanced towards her again.
Pushing Radit's body with both hands, Widya tries to keep Radit from getting too close to her. Unfortunately, it is not useful at all. Because Radit wrapped his hands around Widya's waist, then pulled her closer.
"What are you doing, are you crazy?" Widya wriggled uneasily, trying to free herself from Radit's tight embrace.
Bowing slightly, Radit whispered in his ear. "I've never once forgotten why we're stuck in this marriage we don't want. But, O my Plain Wife, I am also a man. Seeing my beautiful wife every day must have felt the urge to touch her."
Finishing delivering the sentence, Radit released his embrace while curling a seductive smile on his lips.
"I... L'm... Emm... It was me," irritated by her stuttering, Widya widened her eyes at Radit in annoyance. "I see what you mean, but still I'm not ready to serve you as a wife in bed. So, stop imagining those perverted things in your head!" Crossing her arms around her chest, Widya raised her chin haughtily.
Suddenly Radit was uproar at Widya's confession, his eyes glittering amusedly looking at Widya.
"What are you laughing at? I'm not being funny!" exclaim Widya angry.
Radit immediately stopped his laughter. Although the corner of his lips seemed to twitch withstanding a smile, even his eyes still glittered amusedly looking at Widya.
"Actually I wonder who that pervert is? I mean say 'Sleep Together' that, we sleep in the same room, not we're gonna do activities together on my bed." Stuck, Radit laughed again.
All the blood in her body flowed into Widya's face, her face was heated hearing that explanation. If only there was a hole under his feet, maybe at that time Widya wanted to jump in there to cover her embarrassment that was so big.
Widya really did not think that she had misinterpreted Radit's words to her.
Maybe he's right, the pervert here is me.
"But, to be honest, I don't mind if you want anything more, than to sleep with me" Radit teased.
"Forget my stupid talk. Now let's go to sleep!" Without waiting any longer, Widya immediately dragged Radit to follow her into the room before she changed her mind.
"You're not so impatient," the god returned, after being dragged Widya into the room.
After closing the room door, Widya's guts shrieked again as she looked at Radit throwing his body on his bed.
"Don't forget, turn off the lights" he asked. Pulling up the blanket, Radit immediately prepared to go to sleep.
Realizing that Widya was still standing frozen in place, Radit looked at her in astonishment.
"Why are you even sitting there?"
"I don't know why, it doesn't feel right" Widya replied.
"Start again this child," muttered Radit exasperatedly. "Just sleep, what a hard thing. Whatever you do, I want to sleep. I have to go to work early tomorrow. If you want to stand there all night, go ahead."
Lying his head comfortably on the pillow, Radit closed his eyes without caring for Widya anymore.
