The Hate That Ends Marriage

The Hate That Ends Marriage
Themselves Better

Tucking Widya's hair behind her ears, Radit smiled to see Widya's face shriveled deeply while touching her hair that Radit touched earlier so that it covered her face again. Although disturbed by the disturbance, he still had not woken up from his sleep.

This is all thanks to his long story that he told Widya a few hours ago. Widya who felt tired all day ended up falling asleep at her side, and Radit felt grateful for that. After he tried hard to hold Widya to not go to Gilang because he had made a scene on his farm.

Listening to Gilang's meddling behavior, Widya was unable to resist the overflow of emotions to teach her former friend a lesson. Although he was pleased with the anger of his little wife, but on the one hand, he did not want another additional problem that the whole village would discuss.

Two problems this afternoon were enough to make Radit and Widya a gossip for months. That huge commotion would not be as easy as it was to disappear from this gossip-infested village. Especially since Radit married Widya, there is always a rumor waiting for the problems they will cause again.

This time Radit believes the gossip mongers will not let go and Widya just from the shocking events today. He also realized it would be difficult for him and Widya to deal with this problem. The commotion they made today was too stirring that it would be hard to make everyone in Manju village forget about it.

More than that, there is something more to worry about, which is facing his father, whom Radit knows will soon contact him.

Not long after what he feared happened as well, he got a message from his father to immediately go to his house right now. Waking up slowly from his bed, Radit carefully got out of bed so as not to wake Widya who was still fast asleep.

"Where are you going?"

Just about to stand up, Radit was surprised by the question posed by Widya. Turning his head over his shoulder, Radit saw that his wife's eyes were still half sleepy.

"I'm sorry I woke you up. You go back to sleep, I'll just go for a minute." Radit enveloped Widya.

"You haven't answered my question. Where are you going?" Widya removed the blanket from her body with her eyebrows furrowed. "We had agreed that there were no more secrets between us, and not until a day had you intended to play secrets with me again."

Sighing, Radit sat on the edge of the bed. "I just went to my dad's house for a second. You know for yourself, there's so much I have to explain to her about today's problem."

"Geez!" screeched Widya, jumped down from the bed and ran to the wardrobe. "I forgot that you are the Village Chief's son, of course, the news of our quarrel today will be heard by him. I'm sure there's been a lot of bad rumors about us getting into your father's ears."

"What are you doing?"

Radit caught Widya's wrist, which was busy sifting through the clothes in the closet.

"What else do I do, if not get ready to accompany you there," Widya replied, removing Radit's grip from her hand and returning to look for clothes in the closet. "I won't let you face your father alone. However, I am also involved in this matter. So, it's not strange that I should also come with you to talk about this matter with your father. I'm also pretty sure your father needs to hear my explanation of this matter as well."

"You're wrong. My father just wants to talk to me alone." Radit once again stopped Widya, and clasped her hands that had been shaking. "Don't force yourself, honey. Your meeting with my father will only make you faint."

"You must not be reckless in drawing conclusions. My hands were trembling not because I was nervous or afraid, I was just lacking strength because I had not eaten since noon," Elak Widya, pulled her hand from Radit's grasp again, then hid it behind her body. "I'm not that weak either! Sure enough, I'm gonna faint. All my life I've never once experienced anything called 'Fainting', like you said."

Radit did not answer that fiery rebuttal, he only returned Widya's defense by hugging her tightly.

"What do you say, my wife."

"I haven't heard you say that annoying phrase in a long time. It turned out that the sentence still had the power to piss me off every time I heard it."

Releasing his embrace, Radit smirked at Widya, who was instantly reciprocated with a hard fist on her stomach.

"Wait if I go home later. You'll get my fair share of reply" he snapped, commenting on a meaningful smile. "You'd better prepare yourself, for my reward will drain all your strength."

Smacking Widya's forehead gently, Radit held back his laughter seeing his silent wife with a reddish face, then he immediately said goodbye to go face his father who is now definitely waiting impatiently at his home.

He lied to Widya. The message sent by his father said that he wanted to meet them both at once, not just Radit alone.

Despite feeling guilty for lying to his wife, Radit did not regret it in the least. He did not want to add any more burden to Widya's mind. All the chaos today alone had made his wife tired mentally and physically. If he takes her to see her father too, then it will only make Widya more stressed.

After all, Radit was more than capable of facing his father alone. He knew his father would not judge a person based on a story from one side only. That's why he called Radit to find out the matter more clearly.

If Radit will be scolded by his father, at least it is better than Widya also followed by being sprayed by this problem.

The more you are forbidden, the more you will violate it. Perhaps because of this expression, Ririn ventured to open the door of her room slightly to eavesdrop on the conversation of her father and Radit outside.

Hence for the sake of knowing that, Ririn stuck her head out from behind her door.

"Ririn! What are you doing there?" snapped his father, glaring furiously at him.

Shocked to find himself caught by his father, he immediately closed the door of his room as fast as lightning while locking the door of his room with trembling hands from inside. Leaning limp at the door, Ririn touched her thumping chest.

The quick thump of his heart sounded loud once in his ears. It was as if a drummer was playing inside his body.

Running towards his bed took his cell phone that was there. Her hands trembled while looking for Mila's contact. He should contact someone to talk to. Perhaps talking would reduce his fears a little.

After pressing the call button on his phone screen. Ririn restlessly walked back and forth waiting for Mila to pick up her phone. Unfortunately, there is no answer.

But he didn't give up just like that. Ririn again contacted Mila for the second time, which fortunately was lifted this time. Without giving a chance to Mila disputing, he had sniped first.

"So, Mila, where the hell is it, why did you pick up the phone from me for so long? Do you not know, today a lot of things happened to me. After being scolded by Bang Radit and Kak Widya this afternoon, now my father is also venting his regret on me. That's sal...."

"Calm yourself, Rin. Take a deep breath, then exhale slowly. Do it continuously until you become calm."

"This is not the time for Mila to tell me to catch my breath! It won't calm me down at all. My situation right now is so precarious. I think I'm gonna faint for the second time in my life."

"Just obey my words, Ririn. At least it will help you calm down a little. If you don't keep saying this, I still won't understand what you're saying to me."

Although for a while Ririn nagged at length regarding the request, she finally complied as well. Which seems to be a little help to calm him down.

"How, have you calmed down a little?" ask Mila.

"Well, it's a little light, but it still doesn't take away my fear. I just wanted to jump out of my window, before Dad could see me."

"Don't think of anything weird, Ririn," advised Mila, sounding very dislikeful of her bad idea. "Well, now explain to me, what's really going on. Start slow, don't rush like that. If you were to grumble like that, I wouldn't understand your story a word."

It took a lot of effort for Ririn to convey her story slowly, but thanks to Mila's patience, she was finally able to tell all the things that happened today so clearly.

After telling a long story, Ririn took a breath while waiting for a response from Mila after listening to the story earlier.

"It's only fitting that today Widya doesn't pick up the phone from me. It turns out he's having a big problem there."

"Of all the responses, why should that be the first sentence you say? I told you, my goal was to call Mila to help me find out why Dad was angry with Bang Radit. So, what do you think of Brother? Problems with Brother Nadin or Bang Gilang?"

"This is not the time for you to question the matter. All you have to think about and do now is help your brother and Widya overcome this problem. Moreover, Widya, she definitely needs friends to share stories," said Mila sadly. "Unfortunately, I was there to accompany her. There's still so much to do here."

"Had enough advice. I didn't call to listen to Kak Mila's advice either. Besides, I was too afraid to meet Widya, given her cold attitude earlier. There's when I go to his house, only a door slam to welcome me."

"Widya can't do that, believe me. Although he likes to be rude, but he will not be that cruel to you. You are still his sister-in-law, anyway."

"Ha! Brother did not see that was the fierce attitude of Kak Widya to Bang Radit. She whose husband alone does not hesitate to be paralyzed in front of everyone, let alone me who is just his sister-in-law."

Ririn was further irritated when Mila responded to her talk by laughing out loud on the phone. Just wanting to scold Mila, the sound of knocking on the door behind the door of her room shocked Ririn half to death. He jumped and hit the edge of his bed until he fell over his bed.

"Let me call again. Now the Judge is calling me."

Frantically Ririn hung up the phone, without waiting for a response from Mila.

"Ririn, open the door!" Gedor his father, had begun to run out of patience waiting for him to open the door. "Dad should discuss your eavesdropping behavior. Open the door right now, before you get mad."

"Yes, Dad. Ririn came," he said half-heartedly.

Ririn dragged her feet step closer to the door of her room to open the door.
