Spreading his eyes around her, Widya stared guiltily at the mess she had done. His house looked like a broken ship, trash was strewn everywhere, on the floor scattered crumbs of scrap food himself and Ririn during a chat this afternoon.
At first he intended to clean his house when Ririn came home earlier, but the arrival of his grandmother and the phone from his aunt made him forget about his homework.
Widya was too busy chatting so she forgot to clean her house. Not to mention he even adorned his nails with nail polish, which is now still in a condition that is not dry. Peering from behind her eyelashes, Widya saw the attitude of Radit's body that was so stiff, it was seen that she was angry.
For a moment Widya felt intimidated, but she immediately controlled herself so as not to cower in fear in the corner of the chair. Standing from where he was sitting, Radit walked up to him boldly. Looking up at him, Widya spoke in a tone as calm as she could.
"I'll clean up all the mess I've done, but not now. Later, after my nail polish is dry." Widya showed Radit the paint of her nails, she glanced nervously at Radit's fist beside her body.
"I'm done showering, I'm expecting all this mess to be done." His sharp gaze stopped Widya from refuting her speech. "I don't care if your paint is broken or not. It's you, so you have to clean it up. Like it or not" he continued, staring coldly at Widya.
Turning her gaze to her husband's sleeve, Widya avoided looking into Radit's eyes, which looked so cold as the north pole.
"alright. I'll clean it up, but can you help me wash the dishes? Not much just a few glasses," Widya persuaded, venturing into her eyes.
"We agreed to it. You will wash the dishes you have used. I need a break, don't give me any more work. Do you have no sense of understanding? Instead of helping me unwind, you're adding to my fatigue."
"You're right. I am not an understanding wife. It is very shameless of me, dare to ask for your help that is tired because it is very busy helping many people," said Widya sarcastically.
"Do you want to start a fight with me, my wife?" ask Radit grumpily.
Showing a smile as bright as possible, Widya patted Radit's sleeve as if there was dust there. "Where is it, my husband. I'm not that brave. Sorry, if I offended you, I didn't mean it. Been there, I'll clean this house as soon as possible."
Widya's charming smile is not good for Radit because her husband still looks hard at her. However, Radit reluctantly complies with Widya's request to leave leaving her alone to clean the family room.
Looking grimly at the paint of her nails, Widya let out a sad sigh. There is no point in beautifying yourself, her husband is more happy with a wife who is diligent in cleaning than a wife who likes to take care of herself, he mused grimly.

The following day, Radit came down from the roof of Mbah Romlah's house after finishing patching his leaking zinc roof. Under him, Mbah Romlah brought him a glass of water. He smiled thanking Radit as he picked up the glass.
"Thank you, Dit. You no longer know who to ask for help other than you. Staying alone is troublesome. If only the altar boy was here would not bother you."
"Not to be confused, Mbah. As long as I can help, I will. Besides, I am also very grateful for the help of Mbah to massage my wife some time ago. Thanks to the great massage Mbah now my wife can walk normally again" said Radit.
"No need to thank you, it has become a duty. Thank goodness that the massage made your wife recover quickly. You do not need to overdo it so praise the massage," said Mbah Romlah embarrassed by the praise of Radit.
"I'm not exaggerating, Mbah. That's right."
Their conversation suddenly came to a halt when Deni-his friend and worker at the farm-come called out his name from a distance. His breathing gasped when he arrived before them, catch his breath for a moment, he then said there was an urgent matter that needed Radit's attention on the farm.
After saying goodbye to Mbah Romlah, the two of them immediately walked back to the farm.
"Actually what urgent matter needs my attention? The last time I left the farm nothing strange happened" Radit said, turning his head to Deni who was walking next to him.
"You're just making me more curious."
"Oh yeah, during my trip here earlier I heard rumors about your wife."
Radit's steps stopped immediately hearing the news. "What are the rumors this time? Even though I've lived here for a long time, I'm always amazed how the gossip in this village so quickly spread like birds flying in the sky."
"Not you, I feel the same way." Deni turned his head, the glint of his eyes looking agitated as he looked at Radit. "Regarding your wife's gossip, it looks like this will also require your attention."
Silently for a moment, Deni looked somewhat hesitant to continue his words.
"Tell me," urged Radit impatiently.
"I heard that a young man from the city came to visit your wife at home, and they hugged her on the porch."
Radit ignored his heart which seemed hot to hear the news. "Maybe it was his cousin who came from the city."
"Worse yet, I heard the man kissing your wife's cheek!" deni continued. "If she's your wife's cousin, it's weird that she's that brave kissing a married woman."
"Isn't it any stranger that my wife lets herself be seen making out with other men when so many people are watching? The rumors are ridiculous! Who's been spreading such indecent gossip?" ask Radit annoyed.
"I don't know who the exact source of the gossip of your wife's affair, but there are some people who say, if Bu Leni witnessed the incident with her own eyes," replied Deni.
"Oh then now everything is clear. It's just bullshit gossip that doesn't need my attention at all." Radit immediately continued his journey.
Pursuing Radit's rapid footsteps, Deni immediately walked next to him again. "Indeed, Bu Leni's speech was unbelievable, but she was not the only one who witnessed the incident, Dit. Some say, there were also some people who witnessed it. Even if they say they didn't see the man kissing your wife's cheek."
"Enough talk of this nonsense gossip! My farm needs more of my attention than that senseless gossip" Radit exclaimed loudly.
Deni instantly covered his mouth as much as possible, he walked silently next to Radit. It seemed that he realized that bringing up the rumor again would only make Radit even more angry.
Radit fully trusts Widya's loyalty to their marriage. However, hearing rumors about a man coming to visit her without any Radit there made her somewhat angry.
Who exactly was the young man who dared to hug his wife in front of so many people?
With Radit impatient to accelerate his pace, he wanted to immediately solve the problems on his farm in order to get home as soon as possible.
