Looking at Ririn affectionately, Widya was thrilled to have a sister-in-law like Ririn. He always makes Widya laugh at his silly behavior. Thanks to the story Ririn also now somewhat know the names of the neighbors and recognize what their characters are like.
Since her move to this house, Widya has never once greeted or mingled with her neighbors. He felt that doing a friendly event with people who had looked at him badly based on a rumor was just a waste of time. After all, he was satisfied to have his little family and a good friend like Mila.
Listening to Ririn's rant attentively, Widya suddenly recalled something that haunted her mind for quite some time. Yesterday afternoon's problem left his mind blank, so he forgot to ask the important thing, which his sister-in-law must have known.
Waiting for her chance to cut off Ririn's conversation, she was relieved when her sister-in-law took a short pause to grab some food at the table before continuing her words. Not wanting to lose her chance, Widya quickly expressed her thoughts to Ririn.
"Do you know Radit's ex-girlfriend from Jogja?" ask Widya as casually as possible.
The blink of Ririn's hand holding the food stopped the ledge in front of her wide-open mouth, lowering her hand to the lap, Ririn's eyes radiating shock at Widya's question so suddenly.
"Where did you hear about Brother Nadin?"
Smiling obliquely, Widya crossed her legs. "Oh, so the girl's name, Nadin?"
Nodding enthusiastically, Ririn's hair slightly sticking out from the clasps of her hair. His mouth this time was filled with the food he had been holding.
"Do you know how long Radit and Nadin have been in a relationship?" widya asked indifferently, her hand outstretched taking the glass from her saucer.
Tapping her finger on the chin, Ririn looked at the ceiling of her house, as if up there lay her answer. His shoulders slumped down as he looked back at Widya.
"I can't remember how long their relationship was. At that time I was just a boy who was not interested in my brother's romance," he replied regretfully.
The silly words made Widya want to laugh. It seems he still does not support that even now he is still a boy. Holding back her smile, Widya controlled herself so as not to laugh mockingly at her sister-in-law. He doesn't want to offend her. Just acting wrong, later Ririn can sulk, and will not answer the question again, thought Widya.
"Then have you seen Nadin's face?" Further asked.
Posing like an adult who was sharing gossip, Ririn looked at him with a meaningful smile.
"Of course I've seen it, Widya. Even everyone in this village knew him well."
Closing her eyes, Widya was shocked at the shocking answer.
"So, Radit ever brought that Jogja chick here?" Widya could not control her slightly shrill tone of voice. For some reason, the information made him so upset. What's wrong with me?
"I'm not jealous" Widya said. "I'm just surprised. Continue on!" widya's orders, flapping her hands in the air.
Ririn complied with her request with an understanding look that looked so irritating. Widya suppressed the childish impulse that suddenly appeared. How much he wanted to say spicy words to Ririn in order to remove the grin from her sister-in-law's face.
"Actually, Brother Nadin is also one of the residents in this village. He started living here while still in Junior High, but after graduating he chose to continue his education in Jogja."
"That means her parents are still here?"
Ririn nodded small. "Yes, his parents are still here. They are comfortable living in this village, and let Kak Nadin stay in Jogja with his om and tantenya." Taking a breath, Ririn continued her words, "Everyone in this village is so, when they have graduated school, they will continue their education in the city. Hence, in this village there are not too many young people."
"I've realized it. From the beginning, I rarely saw young people here. But no wonder anyway, anyone will choose to live in the city rather than in a remote village like this, plus, it is difficult to find the internet network here," complained Widya.
"If Kak Widya wants internetan, you only need to go to the city center in this village. It's about an hour from here."
"It's very inconvenient."
"If you want, we can go there right now. I have a motor at home," Ririn cheerfully asked, her smile so wide as she waited for an answer from him.
"Maybe next time. Right now I can't go anywhere," Widya regretted, shaking her head sadly. "You know for yourself, didn't you, yesterday afternoon I made a big fuss with Bu Leni. So, for a while now, I'll stay indoors first. After all, I'm going to town."
Ririn's carefree smile vanished from her face, her face instantly moody. Patting her shoulders slowly, Widya gave her spirit like Ririn did yesterday to her. His support was only met with an annoyed look. His laughter instantly exploded seeing Ririn's sulking expression.
Not wanting to feel gloomy alone, Ririn deliberately brought up the matter of Nadin again in front of Widya.
"I just remembered, I used to think that Brother Nadin would be his son-in-law. How not try? Nadin's brother was polite, beautiful, smart too. Unfortunately, he prefers his career to Bang Radit. What a pity my brother is."
Widya's laughter soon vanished listening to that praise from Ririn. "So you're saying, aren't you happy to have a rude Sister-in-law like me?" ask Widya cynically.
"That's not what I mean, sister," said Ririn in a panic. He jumped straight into the seat next to Widya. "I told you it was all the past. I don't remember what Nadin looked like. But, one thing I know for sure, Widya's sister is 100 times prettier than Nadin's sister."
The corner of Widya's lips twitched hearing Ririn's excessive praise. "You've forgotten what Nadin's face looks like, so how could you know for sure that I'm prettier than her? Your words really sound ridiculous, Ririn."
