The Hate That Ends Marriage

The Hate That Ends Marriage
Retaliation

Leaning behind the closed door, a satisfied grin formed on Widya's lips. Peering from behind the window curtain beside the door, he could see Radit walking hurriedly ignoring the whistles of the people on the street teasing him. No doubt, she managed to make her husband a temptation.

One of her own husbands is more concerned with the needs of others than the needs of his own wife. Now let him feel the consequences of making Widya angry. That was the reply he got for refusing his request to leave just a few days away from this remote village.

Indeed what is wrong with going on a honeymoon to please him, he will only ask for a few days of his time which is always spent helping the residents in this village. His pretentious attitude only made Radit look like a slave. Later if there is a chance she will say it directly to her husband.

Something suddenly seethed in her mind—like a meteor that suddenly fell from the sky—Widya just remembered she forgot to ask about her husband's chat with Mr. Sugeng last night. This was due to too many annoying things that happened to him when he arrived at this new house. The important thing was simply forgotten from his mind. If so, later after her husband came home, she would ask that directly. Hopefully this time he doesn't forget.

Walking towards her room, Widya intended to tidy up all her belongings that had been moved from Radit's room to fill her free time before her husband came home later in the afternoon. However, the sound of rumbling from Widya's stomach tells her that she is currently very hungry. His morning breakfast filled with only a few slices of bread did not satiate him at all.

Turning her body in front of her bedroom door, Widya turned towards going to the kitchen. Look for something that can be eaten to satisfy his hunger, but nothing, nothing to eat or anything to cook. It was only fitting that this morning Radit only prepared bread at the dinner table.

Widya thought her husband was irritating her, hoping she would cook something for him. It turns out that in this house there is not a single food ingredient that can be processed into food, even eggs are not there. His refrigerator contained only bottles of drink, and his kitchen cabinet contained only his favorite snacks, which his mother must have bought.

An idea seeped into her mind, walking back to her room, Widya took her jacket from the bed, preparing to go to her grandmother's house to hitch a meal there. Surely at this hour his grandmother was preparing lunch, so, there was no harm if he joined.

Just getting ready to eat the food he had served at the dinner table, a knock at the door stopped the spoon of Grandma Aya who was ready to enter her mouth. Who's the one who's coming to disturb his lunch hour.

Putting her spoon back on the plate, Grandma Aya pushed her chair back and went to open the door for the uninvited guest.

Her familiar face smiled cheerfully at him while walking in before Grandma Aya invited him in. His now-familial granddaughter walked straight to the kitchen, took the plates and spoons from the dish rack and sat down on the dining chair. After praying, he immediately ate his meal.

“Yeah, Widya, slow down. Have you not eaten all day?” granny asked Aya, confused by her granddaughter's starving attitude.

“I'm sorry, Grandma. I'm so starving. Grandma also eat, no need to pay attention to me,” said Widya finished swallowing her food. “In my house there is no food to eat, other than a snack that can not fill at all.”

“You'll be able to go shopping with Radit to the market to buy groceries,” advice Grandma Aya.

“We don't have time. We are busy today, maybe tomorrow. For now let me eat here first, Nek.”

"alright. Eat as much as you want, it happens that grandma cooks a lot today.”

Widya greedily ate all the food at the dinner table. Widya deliberately ate a lot so that later when she came home she did not need to eat anymore. After eating he was silent for a moment in his chair, his stomach felt so full, if he stood up now, maybe he would vomit.

Touching her grandmother's hand that was about to go clean on the dining table, Widya shook her head. “Let me do the cleaning and washing dishes, Nek.”

“Ndon't need. Grandma can take care of it alone,” reject Grandma Aya, transport all dirty eating utensils to the dishwasher.

“Iya, yes, grandma understands. Then, grandma just watch TV.”

Elsewhere, Radit could not concentrate on his work helping build Mr. Lukman's chicken coop. Everyone who saw him always teased him about the incident last afternoon. His defiant wife had managed to make him a joke about a husband who could leave his beautiful wife alone at home just to help Mr. Lukman build his chicken coop.

“You don't have to help Father, Dit. You are still a newlywed, a time of heart to leave your wife alone at home. He must be lonely now,” said Mr. Lukman, sweat soaked his clothes because he was busy cutting wood.

“I promised to help you. If I don't come, who's gonna help you finish all this work?" tanya Radit, take the saw from the hand of Mr. Lukman and replace his position to cut wood.

“Bapak is not good with your wife because she took you from her.”

“This father is all there is, my wife will not be lonely because I left for a while. After all, maybe now he is chatting with his friends or family.”

“Thank God if that is the case,” is relieved Mr. Lukman.

The sun almost sank in the sky as Radit returned home. He forgot the time when chatting at length with Mr. Lukman at his home, after taking a break to build a chicken coop Mr. Lukman who was almost finished.

Knocking on the door, Radit waited for his wife to open the door for him. A minute waiting, Radit knocked back while calling out his wife's name repeatedly, but still there was no answer. What is his wife doing? Is he sleeping or is he taking a shower? Groping into his pants pocket, Radit pulled out the spare key of the house he was carrying. Fortunately, he thought of taking this key while looking for the spare key to his wife's room.

After opening the door, Radit turned on his pitch-black house lights. Radit called his wife again while walking to his room. The door of his room was open and there was no one. Looking to and fro he still did not find the whereabouts of his wife. It's almost night, where Widya actually went until she forgot about this time.

There was no way his wife would escape. Because all his clothes were still lying unstructured on his bed. So, what's he doing out there?

Too engrossed in chatting with her grandmother about various things, Widya did not notice the day was getting dark. Now her husband must be home, waiting for her upset at the door of the locked house.

Taking the key out of his jacket pocket, he was shocked that the door was unlocked.

What's the matter? I remember clearly locking the door before I left. Is there a burrow in his house?

Peering from the window covered with curtains, he could see from the gap of the window curtain if in his house the lights were on. Even after he noticed the porch lights were on, but he never turned on the lights at all.

The door of the house suddenly opened, and a heavy voice asked beside him, "What are you doing there?"

Looking to the side, she sat down limp, shocked to see her husband standing there staring at her with an annoyed look.
