In the afternoon, a knock on the door tells Radit and Widya if a guest comes. The two of them who were busy moving the dressing table from Radit's room to Widya's room next door, quickly stopped the activity.
Afraid of their parents, the two frantically put the dresser back into Radit's room. Then fix themselves to look neat. Their bodies were filled with sweat because they were busy separating the items in Radit's room.
Making sure her appearance did not look shabby in front of the mirror of her dressing table, Widya pouted at her reflection which looked very messy. Taking a tissue from the table next to the bedroom door, she wiped the sweat off her face and neck and went back to the dresser to get dressed.
"Here you go, later the dress. Pity our guests to wait," Radit said, pulling Widya up from the small chair facing her dresser.
"What do our guests say when they see this ugly appearance and smell" Widya said exasperatedly.
Although reluctant, Widya finally let Radit hold her hand.
"We can give you a reason that we're working."
Reviewing the wide smile on his lips, Radit opened the door of his house to the guests who came to visit. Behind the door, stood Widya's parents. Judging from the car parked in front of their house, it seems like both parents want to say goodbye to return to the city.
Radit invited the two into the house, Widya's parents immediately refused.
"No need, Dit. We just want to see you two before we go back to town" Widya's father said.
Clutching her into his arms, her mother stroked Widya's cheeks with affection. "Wid, take good care of yourself, yeah. If there's anything you can call Mama and Papa."
"I will definitely miss you both very much" Widya said, replying to her mother's embrace.
Pulling Widya away so that their conversation was not heard by her father and Radit, her mother gave a small box to Widya's hand.
"This is the key to your house in Bandung. Your father's been preparing it for your wedding gift." Groping into his handbag, his mother gave him a ticket. "And here's the ticket we booked for your honeymoon."
Staring for a long time at the thing in her hand, Widya fell silent in silence. A moment later a red hue adorned both of his cheeks. "Gosh, Ma. We don't need these honeymoon tickets. Radit was too busy with his job, where there was time for the honeymoon," Widya said in a small voice, the ticket was put back in her mother's handbag.
"You newlyweds, there's no harm in taking a short honeymoon vacation." Her mother took her ticket back to hand it over to Widya. "Don't argue! Just accept this, maybe later you change your mind. Mama's ticket is for the weekend" whispered her mother.
On the other hand, Radit talked to Widya's father.
"Om not to worry, Widya will not lack anything as long as she is here."
"Don't call 'Om' again, Dit. We are now a family call it Papa," Widya's father asked.
"All right, Om, uh, Pa," Radit said awkwardly.
Patting his shoulders, Widya's father smiled in satisfaction. "Well, so new is Papa's son-in-law."
Approaching Widya and her mother, Widya's father invites his wife to leave immediately because their driver has been waiting for a long time in the car.
Delivering their departure near the car, for the last time they all hugged and said goodbye to each other. After the two had gotten into the car, Widya and Radit waved until the second car was no longer visible. Then they went back into the house.
Looking back, Ms. Gina saw her son one last time and then turned and leaned back in her husband's arms.
"Alright, Ma. Don't be sad continue. Papa's sure Radit won't hurt our son. He's a good boy" said Mr. Darman, rubbing his wife's back.
"Mama knows, but this is too painful, Pa. Why should our children be so far away from us. If only her husband lived in the city, surely Mama could visit him often."
"Patience. Later if Papa takes time off, we can both meet them again."
Ms. Gina simply nodded her head, unable to utter another word. Closing her eyes, she recalled her son's wedding day. Ms. Gina recalled her son's interaction with her husband at the wedding. Though her son called her husband annoying before the wedding day, but that day both look very familiar with each other. This is a sign that they may someday love each other. Bu Gina smiled happily at the possibility.
^^
Closing the door behind him, Radit saw the object in his wife's hand. "What's in your hand?" tanyanya.
"Oh, this." Show both things in his hand. "My mom gave us the keys to our house in the city, and this is our honeymoon ticket" Widya said indifferently.
"Honeymoon tour? That's right!" Radit snorted in disbelief. "I don't have time to go anywhere, let alone go on a honeymoon."
"As I thought, you would say so. That's why I told my mother that, but my mother still insisted on giving it," Widya exasperatedly grumbled.
"Then throw that ticket away!"
For a few moments there was no response from his wife. However, his eyes suddenly sparkled while staring at Radit. An uneasy feeling immediately came upon him seeing his wife's excited expression. The head of his sensible wife, must be currently thinking of something that would not make him happy at all. His guess is proven from Widya's next words, which look very enthusiastic.
"I have an idea. What's wrong with both of us going on our honeymoon, we can part ways when we get there. I need refreshing to relieve my fatigue trapped in this village," said his wife happy to think of his brilliant idea.
"If you really want to go, please go alone. I'm not interested in coming" she refused firmly.
"Don't be stupid! What do people say when they see me go on my honeymoon alone."
"Tumben once you think about what people say. Don't you care what people say all this time?" ledek.
His words were replied with a gaze as sharp as a newly sharpened knife.
"I don't want to go, if you don't. It's my decision!" Taking a pair of boots off the shoe rack, he prepared to go to work. "Later in the afternoon we continue to move your dresser, I just remembered I had a promise to help Mr. Lukman build his chicken coop."
"Okay, my husband" praised his wife in a satirical tone. "For others you always have time, but for his own wife there is none. What a dream husband."
"I don't have time to argue with you. See you later in the afternoon," he said, rushing out of the house before his emotions took over to reply to his wife.
Following from behind, Widya ran outside the house to escort her away. In such a loud voice, she exclaimed to him, "Find a lot of money, yes, my Husband. Your beautiful wife is always waiting for your return."
Turning his head back, Radit immediately regretted it, as his wife blinked her eyes while pursing her lips sending a kiss from afar. After that he turned around and walked while flexing his hips excessively. The Dissenting Wife. Angry at not getting his wish, he deliberately acted like that to humiliate Radit in front of everyone.
