The Hate That Ends Marriage

The Hate That Ends Marriage
Love Past and Present

Two hours ago..

Radit was sitting with his old friends in a restaurant they always went to every year. Although this is actually the first time he has come here again, after he broke up from Nadin many years ago.

He did it to avoid meeting his ex-girlfriend. Although his close friend, Deni, always said he did not need to do that. Because every year Nadin also does the same with himself. But even so, he did not want to risk seeing Nadin again at this school reunion.

Somehow imagining himself meeting Nadin again, will only awaken old wounds in him. But this time he dared to come here.

It did so because he felt confident of not being affected in the slightest by Nadin's arrival, if he suddenly appeared before him this time. His confidence was obtained because now he already has someone very valuable in his life.

His reunion with his past love, of course, will not affect him. After all, he no longer had the slightest taste in his ex. Their beautiful and bitter memories had already begun to fade in his memory. Now he just wants to focus all his attention on his little wife, who is now home.

That was what Radit believed in him, before the figure of the woman he loved used to walk closer to him with a bright smiling face. He who thought he had forgotten all the memories with them before, is now made aware that the memories are still stored so clearly in his memory.

Everyone present at the reunion stood together to welcome the arrival of their old friend. They were as surprised as he was at his unexpected presence.

"You told me, he hasn't attended this reunion in years" he whispered to Deni sitting next to him. "Now explain to me, who is this woman before me?"

"I'm not lying, Dit. He never even came to this reunion once after you broke up" Deni whispered, defending himself from accusations of lying.

"I shouldn't have attended this reunion," muttered Radit, looking down lethargic.

"Why is that? What do you care if he comes to this meeting too?" deni said, looking suspiciously at Radit. "Unless you still have feelings for him. Remember, Dit, your wife is home."

"You don't have to remind me of my wife!" cerca Radit, gritting her teeth against Deni. "I don't have any feelings for him. I just ... just .. just feel uncomfortable. That's all."

"Then it's sorted out. No need to feel uncomfortable. He's nobody to you anymore."

"I knew. It's just that I felt something so bad about this meeting."

"That's your feeling."

"Do I have to go home?" he asked for advice from his friend.

"Don't be silly. It is precisely your sudden departure that will provoke the suspicion of all those who are here," whispered Deni, glancing misgivings at the crowd at the dinner table. "They'll think you still have feelings for Nadin."

"You have a point" he nodded, agreeing with his friend's opinion.

"Be relaxed as always" Deni suggested, patting his back strongly encouraged.

Radit did not have time to recite the words of his friend, when Nadin suddenly interrupted their conversation.

"I heard you were married, Dit. Congratulations to you." Nadin stretched out his hand.

Although reluctant, Radit welcomed the helping hand while smiling in gratitude.

"Honestly, I was really surprised to hear from the others about your marriage. Why didn't you invite me?"

"I don't think there's any point in inviting you to my wedding" she replied flatly. "After all, I doubt you'll be attending my wedding."

"Why do you think that? Of course I will attend your wedding" said Nadin cheerfully, smiling increasingly at him. "There's nothing happy about it, other than listening to your old friend get married."

"Friends? Oh yes, friend, of course we're friends" Radit said sarcastically. "Thank God this news of my marriage makes you happy."

Realizing the tone of innuendo in Radit's voice, the bright smile engraved on Nadin's face was instantly gone.

"It's great to see you smiling brightly like this, after our last meeting" he continued, smiling sarcastically at his callous ex-girlfriend. "It's really happy to be in your position, to be able to forget everything, without feeling the slightest guilt."

Ah, goddamn! Fucking tongue shit. Can you stop? This is more than enough to show the others that you are just a vengeful man, who is still hurt when your boyfriend dumps you first.

The surrounding noise died down listening to the conversation of the two of them.

Anyone, help yourself from this embarrassing situation.

Then there was a loud laugh next to him. Flailing lightly on his shoulders, Deni tried to melt the gloomy atmosphere around him.

"Good, listen! This old man just tried to be funny," Deni exclaimed, laughing again. "Here you go, Dit, your joke is not funny at all. Lookie! Nadin almost cried at your lowly sense of humor. Even everyone here thinks you still have feelings for him. Which is certainly not possible, considering you now have a wife out there."

Catching the tone of reprimand in his friend's voice, Radit finally followed his friend's play. Come laughing, he immediately apologized to Nadin for scaring him with a joke that is not funny.

Fortunately, everyone who was there believed the lie. Thanks to his perfect acting with Deni. He was very grateful to have a friend who swiftly handled the bad situation that had been made by him.

Amazingly, Deni quickly shifted the topic of conversation to something else.

"By the way, Nad, I think you once attended this meeting. You never even attended this meeting."

"Yes, what's wrong? Do you have any good news for us?" the other attackers asked.

"To be honest, yes," replied Nadin timidly.

"Next month I'm getting married" Nadin announced. "I hope you all will attend. Especially you, Dit."

This time, the dining table was filled with a deafening roar of joy. Everyone present gave their congratulations to Nadin. Of course, he also congratulated his ex.

"Where's the invitation?" pinta Deni, extend her hand.

"I still haven't prepared it yet" replied Nadin, smiling apologetically. "Somehow, what does an invitation mean, if I've come here to invite you in person."

Once again, all those at the long dinner table cried out loudly in Nadin's words. Then talks flowed over Nadin's wedding preparations. Until the unexpected arrival of his wife stopped the boisterous conversation.

Then go back to the present time. He is currently trapped between two women, who he once and now loves.

Of all the things that exist, why did his little wife have to come at such an inopportune time? If only he had come a little faster, maybe Radit wouldn't have felt this way.

His wife's voice and joyful look could not fool him at all. Radit knew that his wife had seen him holding Nadin's hand earlier. The blazing flames within the glint of his eyes revealed that.

Widya is furious with him! Oh Lord, save me from his wrath.

"What are you two doing here?" widya asked innocently, acting like a fool. "Are you peeing too?"

Widya did smile sweetly, but the word that came out of her mouth was like a knife. Nadin must have realized that.

"Y-well, that's. I-I .. accidentally passed Radit here. When he just came out of ... WC," replied Nadin stammering.

Obviously he was nervous, it was like someone caught doing something bad. Radit could see it, let alone his wife.

"Oh, so." Widya smiled innocently, as if believing that lousy lie. "What a wonderful coincidence, yes. Getting nature's call at the same time."

Well, there he is! Spicy insinuation behind her fake sweet smile.

Not wanting to exacerbate the problem any longer, Radit immediately interrupted, before Nadin had time to say Widya.

"What are you doing here yourself? Did you get nature's call too?"

In an instant the knife-sharp gaze was now directed at him. It seems that Widya is very upset over her attitude that dared to cut her conversation with Nadin.

Let it be, it's better than his grumpy little wife launching her horrific attacks on Nadin. It would only make the three of them the center of everyone's attention.

"It's fine that you ask me what I need at such an appropriate time" Widya said, emphasizing the last word while gritting her teeth. "If you're done with your pleasant nature call, now let's go home."

"Come home?" its spray. "Why? Isn't the party still not over."

"Suddenly I feel dizzy. The longer I'm here, maybe my whole head will explode" Widya replied, pressing her temple. "Of course, if you don't mind my request. No problem, right?"

The question Widya addressed to Nadin, who had been standing restlessly in his place.

"Oh?" Nadin looked at Widya in confusion.

"Forget it. Well then, goodbye. Hopefully this is the last meeting between the three of us" Widya said, pulling her hand to leave immediately.

Looking over his shoulder, Radit felt rather pity as he watched Nadin stay glued in place while staring blankly at their departure.

A flick on her wrist resuscitated Radit if Widya realized she was looking at Nadin silently. One more thing lists his wife's anger at him.

After asking him—or arguably ordering him—to say goodbye to his friends who were inside, Widya flicked her hand, like a man who was driving away his men, he said, tapping his feet impatiently waiting for him outside.

For this time alone he will understand Widya's rude attitude to him. Because he has good reason to behave like that. Radit admitted that. He has provoked the anger of his wife. In fact, he did it accidentally.

"Hopefully your night is beautiful, man" whispered Deni in his ear, grinning.

"Damn you!"

You brash friend. He still had time to tease me.

Walking back to his motorbike in the parking lot, Radit exhaled a long breath when he saw Widya and Nadin were chatting alone there.

From his place, he could see that his wife did not feel happy at all with the chat. All of this was clearly on his face.

Oh my God, what else this time? Why is it going so bad for him today.

Walking hastily toward the two women who have opposite traits, Radit hopes he arrives just in time. Let's just hope his scorching-mouthed wife doesn't say anything terrible to Nadin.

"... Doing something wrong."

Radit arrived right at the moment listening to that piece of sentence from Widya. He didn't know what his wife's "errors" meant. However, that sentence had quite an impact on Nadin. His face looked very pale when he looked at her. Before he could ask what the two of them were talking about, Nadin ran past.

Turning his gaze to his wife, he swallowed back the question that almost popped out of his mouth. Because the look on Widya's face showed her, if a word came out of her mouth, then her wife would not hesitate to help her at that moment. That's what Radit caught from the flash of fire blazing in Widya's eyes.
