Now they are alone, Radit tries hard to control his emotions, so as not to attract the attention of people who are working on his farm.
Standing his back to Nadin, he was furious when he did not listen to a word from his ex-girlfriend.
"Why are you just silent? Isn't there something important you want to tell me?" Glancing at his watch, Radit tapped his finger impatiently at the screen of his watch. "You've got 4 minutes left."
"No!" nadin strongly objected. "We haven't spoken yet. So, I still have 5 minutes."
"What empty muzzle are you talking about?" Radit turned his body.
"You're looking at me too."
"You've wasted your time standing there for 1 minute. So, you only have 4 minutes less than 10 seconds now."
"Stop counting the time on your watch!" cetus Nadin, hit the clock on his wrist. "It's not good to talk to other people while looking back at me like that. So, my silent action for 1 minute just now, doesn't count."
Waving his hands in the air, Radit then crossed both his hands across his chest.
"Forget our debate about time. Now, tell me what you want to tell me!" his orders are impatient. "I don't want to talk to you alone for long. This will only provoke gossip, as long as you know. Especially if my wife hears about this... Just thinking about it makes me cringe."
"If you keep talking at such length, when do I start talking?"
Shaking his head, Radit brushed aside the terrifying shadow of Widya's wrathful face from his head. Then he nodded his head, asking Nadin to start the conversation.
"I don't know where to start. It's too complicated" Nadin said worriedly. "As you know, I lied about my wedding last night."
"Yes, I heard it very clearly last night," he nodded in agreement. "To be honest, I don't understand at all what you mean to say to me. That's none of my business. It's your personal business, and I'm not interested in your life at all."
"I knew. I realize my life story is no longer interesting to you."
"If you are aware, why are you still bothering me" he grumbled softly.
"But I don't know why, when I saw you last night, I wanted to tell you this" Nadin continued, ignoring his grunts. "I feel like you might be able to help me solve my problem."
"If you're here just to find someone to solve your problem, then you're in the wrong place" Radit chanted, giving an uninterested look to listen further. "I didn't have any more relationships with you after we broke up. You better tell your parents your problem."
"That's exactly why I told you this!" nadin is frustrated. "I have nowhere to talk about this, other than with you. Please, understand, just listen to my story once."
"Alright, alright, continue your story," Radit told, waving his hand indifferently. "Just go to the point of the problem, there is no need to go around in circles."
"Actually... I'm married!" nadin said, closing his eyes, as if afraid to see his reaction.
For a moment not a word came out of Radit's mouth in response to the shocking confession. He really did not understand this conversation at all.
Nadin admitted yesterday that he lied about his marriage. And now, he admits, if he's married. So, which one is right? Is he married or not?
"Honestly, I don't understand what you mean at all" he said, furrowing his brows. "Either I was too stupid to understand your words or I might have misheard your words just now."
Opening his eyes slowly, Nadin sighed, then looked at his eyes firmly.
"Not both. I understand your confusion now. Last night I told you, I lied about my marriage, but now I'm telling you that I'm married. Maybe, I'm not clear on explaining this to you" Nadin said, acknowledging the complexity of the story. "Actually, I mean last night, I lied when I said it was my first marriage."
"What do you mean?" the truth is, the more confusing. "Can you tell me this more clearly? I'm getting confused about your story."
"Well, let me tell you this as clearly as I can, and as short as the time you give me."
A few minutes later passed, as Radit listened in silence to the shocking story. He knows, maybe at this time he looks like a fool, when he can only gap while staring in amazement at Nadin.
After being able to recuperate from his shock, Radit immediately cleared his throat, which felt something was up there.
"I don't know what to say. Your story just now really surprised me."
"I understand it. Anyone who listens to this, will definitely react the same as you," Nadin agreed. "Because of this, I can't tell both my parents."
"I'm too embarrassed to admit it." Nadin covered his face with both hands. "I really feel guilty about them. If I hadn't been rash, I probably wouldn't have let them down like this. It's my fault."
"Did Om and Tantemu know this too?"
"Yes, they know" said Nadin, nodding his head. "I asked them not to tell my parents this. Hence, I came here to confess this disgrace of mine, but every time I saw the two of them, I was too afraid to say it."
"Just a second!" Radit raised his hand, trying to make sense of the situation. "If I may guess, did you tell me this, so that I could help you say this to your parents?"
"Do you mind?" nadin asked carefully, looking very worried.
"Of course, I object" Radit replied, without a second thought. "This is your business and your parents' business. I have no right to interfere in your life at all. We have no relationship anymore, Nad. We are just ordinary friends. If you need help, ask your husband. I'm sorry I couldn't help you."
Despite feeling a bit pity, Radit considers this is indeed a wise decision that he can take. There was no point in interfering in Nadin's personal life. It would only provoke a commotion inside her household, if Widya found out.
He was completely inexhaustible with Nadin's attitude to ask him for help, about something so sensitive like this. What he didn't think, would be very strange, if Radit met his parents to reveal this bitter secret.
Who was he to Nadin? He is just his ex-girlfriend, nothing more. So, despite feeling unwell for refusing his request, Radit still had to draw the line between the two of them.
"She also doesn't know about me who's been this widow" Nadin said. "So, how could you ask me to tell him this?"
"Jeez, Nadin! How can you keep this a secret from your future husband? However, he deserves to know. Didn't you think about how she felt, when she found out you had hidden this secret from her?"
"I.. i... I...." Nadin stuttered, trying to find the right words to explain his feelings. "Eitherway. The point is, I'm still not ready to reveal this to her. Even I'm still not ready for our marriage."
"You haven't changed. You always attach great importance to your feelings" Radit said, recalling the wounds Nadin had inflicted on him. "Here you go, it's none of my business either. I don't care what you feel, so stop bothering me again. Your time is up, excuse me."
Without waiting any longer, Radit walks past the selfish woman he once loved.
"I'm not done yet" said Nadin, catching his wrist. "I'm sorry if I ever hurt you. You don't know how sorry I was to let you go first. If only I had accepted your proposal, maybe my life wouldn't have been this ruined."
"That's the past, everything you say means nothing to me anymore. So, I'm asking you, don't bring it up again" Radit replied, without turning his head to look at Nadin, who was beside him. "Well, you think about it, how to solve your problems with both your parents and your future husband. Here's some advice I can give you, goodbye."
Removing Nadin's tight grip from his arm, Radit re-stretched his legs. However, before he walked any further, Nadin suddenly hugged him from behind.
"Don't go, Dit!" pinta Nadin, sobbing behind his back. "I'm really sorry. Please, don't treat me this cold."
"What are you doing? Let go of me right now!" Radit tried to take Nadin's embrace off him. "What would people think, if we saw the two of us like this?"
Nadin tightened his embrace. "I don't care what people think of us!"
"But I care!" snapped Radit, annoyed with Nadin's indifference.
He was very unwilling to act rude to Nadin in the slightest, but Nadin's attitude had made his anger boil over. Grasping firmly onto Nadin's wrist, he slowly let go of that tight hug.
Unfortunately, before he fully let go of Nadin's tight embrace, a loud gasp stopped him.
"Roman!" shouted Widya loudly.
Raising his head, he looked in horror at the sight before him.
Damnit damnit! Why is he here? His wife's expression looked very scary. Small wrinkles formed in the corners of his eyes, showing displeasure at what he had seen. Both of his hands clenched tightly at his sides, as if ready to smash his fists into Radit's face.
Even more terrifying, Ririn and Deni were also there. The two of them stood right behind Widya, with their mouths gaping wide. Perhaps soon a fly will enter the mouths of the two fools.
Fast-moving, a blazing glint in Widya's eyes, convinces Radit that there is no mercy for him. Destroy the harmony of his household. Closing both eyes, Radit prepared to receive the death fist Widya would throw at him. Radit knew his wife was perfectly capable of that.
He was shocked when he found nothing on his face. Quite the opposite, Widya vented her anger at Nadin, who was hiding behind her while tightly holding the edge of her shirt. Widya did not hesitate to throw Nadin's body to the ground so rough.
"Keep that filthy hand away from my husband, you fucking woman!" cerca Widya, pointing her finger in wrath.
Geez! Lost is a beautiful day. This incident will definitely shock this entire village. Now all he had to do was to defuse this terrible situation, so as not to get any worse. May God help him.
