My Little Girlfriend
37. Brother Orphanage

The sun is showing its existence. Shifting the moon with its bright rays to bring out sunlight.

Falling asleep after reading a book. With the book still at his side, he woke up after the light began to enter on the sidelines of the window where he was asleep at this time. He looked up at the sky and saw it full of light. Bian tried to wake up from his short sleep by trying to set his facial expression. The book he had read, was still open and a little scuffed because of his arm.

He tried to close and try to tidy up again, before he finally returned to his original place. However, just as suddenly his steps came to a halt, when someone opened the library door.

Her eyes met the person who opened the library. Staring at each other and both gave expressions of surprise at this coincidence.

"Good morning. Sorry, I didn't know you were here." Kinan said trying to greet Bian. Although previously somewhat surprised by the presence of Bian who was in the library.

Kinan did not know when Bian's return, but he did not expect it to be so soon, let alone so suddenly like this.

"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting, then I'm leaving first." Said Kinan, trying to get out again because it felt annoying to Bian.

"You want to clean up the library?" Bian asked, stopping Kinan's move that was about to come out.

"Yes." Yeah." Kinan replied that he did not leave.

"Clean up, I'm just gonna put this book down." Bian said then put back the book he was holding.

Kinan nodded in understanding, then tried to go deeper into the centralization area, and began to clean up the library, leaving Bian who was about to leave.

As he was about to get out, Bian stopped his steps, trying to see what Kinan was doing. For a moment he was silent looking at her, like there was something to say, but was restrained from doubt.

Although the room is not too wide, but because several piles of books make Kinan unaware that Bian is still there and is watching him. Because he is only focused on his work, so he does not care about his surroundings.

"Kinan is..."

"Bright..." Kinan shouted as soon as he heard someone who suddenly called out to him while cleaning between the bookshelves.

Kinan was shocked and almost fell over the book, lucky Bian hit it quickly so that the book did not hit Kinan's head, also holding his body so as not to fall to the floor.

It felt hugged by Bian, making Kinan a little surprised, and immediately released his body from the hands of Bian who was holding his body.

"Sorry sir, I was a little surprised." Kinan said a little awkwardly.

Not only Kinan, Bianpun felt awkward. At once the atmosphere between the two became clumsy.

"Ehem.., I'm sorry that it was such a surprise." Bian said then, breaking the awkwardness.

"Ah.. Yes, it's okay." Kinan replies rather slowly and camggung. "I'm sorry if you suddenly yelled, as you called earlier." Reply Kinan again was a bit embarrassed looking at Bian.

He then tried to grab the book that fell to the floor to put it back into its original place. However, suddenly Bian helped her by crouching in front of Kinan, leaving Kinan a little surprised.

"Sorry sir, let me clean it up." Kinan.

"It's okay, I just want to. The book also fell because of me." Said Bian who put some books into his shelf back.

"There's actually something I wanted to ask you earlier.." He said again, looking at Kinan beside him, after finishing putting a book on his bookshelf.

"On me?" Confused Kinan, and got a small nod from Bian.

"Do you really not know me?" Bian said again trying to be sure.

His words, of course, made Kinan shocked and confused by the intent of Bian.

"Sorry sir, I really don't understand what you mean." Reply Kinan looked at Bian confusedly.

The puzzled expression of Kinan made Bian speechless. However, he suddenly took a step forward in front of Kinan, causing Kinan to be surprised and not dare to look at him up close.

Of course the sudden confession from Bian made Kinan surprised, to make him fixated because he was so distrustful.

"Do you remember now?" Tanya Bian tried to resuscitate Kinan who was fixated.

"Ah. that.., yes, I remember it now." Kinan replied slowly with a little stammering because he still did not believe what he heard. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you before." He continued, then tried to stare at Bian who was standing close to him.

"It's okay, so am I. If it wasn't for that lock necklace, maybe I'd have forgotten." Said Bian smiling knotingly staring at Kinan. "I say this, just want to keep my promise first. Sorry, if it takes a long time." Bian.

"Ah.., yes." Kinan's reply was a little awkward.

After that, susana suddenly returned to silence and awkward between the two. Kinan could only look down not knowing what to do now after knowing it, as well as Bian who had fallen silent while occasionally glancing at Kinan.

"Yes, I just wanted to say that. Continue your work again." Bian said breaking the silence and making an awkward body gesture. He left in front of Kinan.

As soon as Bian left, Kinan was still quietly glued to where he was standing now, as if he still could not believe that his foster sister used to be his own boss and was surprised again, it was so close to him all along.

"What kind of coincidence is this?" He did not believe in this coincidence. "It really?" He said again with a half-in disbelief expression.

Despite being filled with question marks, and feeling confused, Kinan resumed his work.

...

Bian, who was now in his room, was relieved after he had established his identity with Kinan. He smiled at what he had done.

"It turns out he didn't recognize me." His words recalled the surprised expression from Kinan earlier. "Then what are we going to do now, after knowing?" Said Bian, a little confused by the relationship of the two.

Although it was once close, but it is undeniable that the current relationship of the two is nothing more than a stranger, or rather as a superior and subordinate now.

Bian grabbed the necklace of memories he had with Kinan, looking at him fixedly and full of warmth. Suddenly the sound of a phone ringing from his phone shifted his gaze for a moment.

The name Adel was written, when he tried to reach for the phone that he had been living in his room. Unlike usual, he hesitated a little and paused for a moment to lift her up.

"Hello." He then raised his phone.

"Bi, have you really gone to Jogja?" Ask Adel as soon as Bian lifts his phone. There was no word of greeting he used to do.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Cock fast, anyway? and you didn't tell me before?" Adel Protest.

"Sorry, Del. Because I was in a hurry back then, so forgot to tell you." Reply Bian.

"Bi, you're not angry anymore are you?" Said Adel in a slow tone.

Bian. "No, I left quickly because there's still work here." Answer Bian.

"Seriously?" Ask Adel to try to make sure again.

"Yes, seriously."

"I'm glad to hear it." It was clearly a tone of relief from Adel, who had been feeling anxious.

Despite answering everything that Adel asked, and hearing all what Adel said, somehow Bian's expression looked as uninspired as ever.

Bian then realized there were so many phone calls from Adel before, after the phone was closed. He stared at the screen of his old phone, and ended with a long sigh from it.
