My Little Girlfriend

My Little Girlfriend
35. Love Blocks Friendship

After an awkward chat at the cafe, Bian drives Adel back to his house. No chatter on their way home. Silence is even far from the word familiarity as usual.

The faces of both of them looked grim and filled with thoughts. I don't know why the two relationships feel so distant. Adel often glanced at Bian who was focused on driving, but he did not dare to try to invite him to talk, especially Bian's expression showed that he was disappointed.

On the way home, Adel was overwhelmed with guilt and anxiety. After he said his answer, not a single sentence came out of Bian's mouth. He just kept quiet, and gave a little smile to her.

I asked him to wait after coming home from Jogja, because now I feel confused what to answer? and also to my own feelings - the bath in the heart.

In fact, previously he always felt worried about Bian who was in Jogja. He was restless unconsciously and did not stop thinking about Bian. However, for some reason when Bian was in front of him and expressed his feelings as he had wanted to before, he instead stepped back and hung it up again like 2 years ago.

In a stifling silence during the drive home from the cafe, the two arrive in front of Adel's house. The two went down together, although it was a bit awkward when it came out.

"Thank you, Bi." Adel said after getting out of the car.

"Hem, comein. I send greetings to your mom and dad." Reply Bian.

Adel fell silent, his steps were a little heavy when he was about to enter the house. He glanced at Bian in front of him, and was about to say something but hesitated a little.

"Why? is there anything you want to say to me again?" Bian asked, realizing Adel was about to say something but seemed hesitant.

"That.., are you going to go to Jogja tomorrow?" Ask Adel a little carefully.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Bian.

Adel looked disappointed to hear it, but he could not dodge it.

"Bi, can you put it off?" Then he said suddenly.

"Why?" Ask Bian back.

"I want you here a little longer."

Bian just silently heard it, but suddenly he smiled looking at Adel.

"I'm sorry, but I can't."

He didn't even try to give me an excuse or try to convince me again.

Adel looks sad to see the change in attitude from Bian.

"Bi, are you mad at me?" He looked at Bian.

"No." Reply Bian gave his faint smile to Adel. " I'm really fine Del, come in it's late." He again tried to convince Adel, and then told Adel to go into the house immediately.

"You know, Bi. if.."

"I know, that's why I'm okay." Bian cuts Adel's speech.

"I promise, I'll answer you as soon as you get home. Therefore, can you trust me and wait a little..?" Adel tries to convince Bian.

"If I ask for the answer now, do you want to try to consider it? that way I can delay my departure?"

Adel could not answer Bian's request. He just kept quiet with a slightly awkward expression.

"Alright, I won't force it. Come in, it's night." Bian said not to force Adel.

Adel could only nod and let Bian walk away from his face. She waited until the car walked away from her face, then into the house. His steps when entering, for some reason so heavy and not the slightest turn of his face from the direction of Bian's car.

...

The two men who were being struck by turmoil, could only seem to sigh long. Wondering what he should do now. To his heart, his feelings, and to himself.

Adnan, who came home first, was seen daydreaming on the balcony of his room. He thought back to what had happened in the cafe earlier, clearly remembering how Bian's gaze was making a confession to Adel earlier.

Despite trying to accept and let go of his feelings, it is undeniable that he still feels uneasy in the relationship between the two.

"I was always by his side, accompanying him, and was always there for him." He said remembering his memories with Adel during this time.

"Is this the end I have to accept that she can't be mine?" He said again, staring at the star-filled sky.

Adnan could no longer hide his sad feelings for the shining star, nor the moon that was lighting up the night.

...

No different from Adnan, in his spacious apartment, Bian felt the same sadness. The feeling of weakness, the taste of the galaxy, the feeling of the balance becomes more heavy. The decision he took after thinking for a long time, did not turn out well.

He sat down limp on the chair, leaning his head for a moment from his gala.

"Maybe from the beginning I shouldn't have started." He said a little regretting his claimant.

Given that he endured all this time with his feelings, he made him question what he had done all this time. While abroad, the focus is only to build a career, although there are many opportunities for him to establish a relationship with a woman.

His promise, his trust, even his determination made him hold on to his feelings. However, despite repeatedly trying to find an opening to express feelings for her, her answer would still be the same. To raise questions for himself.

"Is this because he doesn't want to ruin our friendship?" Bian tried to guess.

He stayed quite a long time on his couch, even trying to lay his body on it. There were no words, even his expression was filled with various questions.

The one-sided and unrequited love of the two, seems to be continuing.

...

The figure that was being contested by two men, with the feeling of liking from the two men closest to him, seemed to feel the same way as well.

The expression of Adelia Putri Wahyana, looks gloomy in the room. He just lay on his bed with a full mind. Rethinking everything with his two best friends, namely Bian and Adnan.

In the near future, he has received recognition from two good men who are always close to him.

"If Adnan hadn't revealed his feelings to me yesterday, maybe I would have easily answered Yes to Bian." He recalled the confessions of the two.

"Why do they like to put me on the hard way, anyway?" The resentful Adel was overwhelmed with a sense of dilemma.

"If I choose Adnan? then I'll lose Bian, and if I choose Bian, I'll lose Adnan." Say something else that doesn't want it to happen.

Adel got up from his sleep and looked annoyed at the photo of his two best friends attached by his bedside. However, Adel suddenly remembered Bian's expression he had just seen for the first time.

"Why do I feel like Bian is angry, huh?"
