Chapter 70

"Yoruichi-san!!!" Aika and Koneko yell seeing Yoruichi in great danger. They are unable to keep up with the sudden change of situation.

Koneko used her most complete Lightning Steps towards the barrier. Seeing Koneko disappear from her side and appear in the middle of the distance from the barrier, Aika ran with all her might to catch up.

But his focus did not last too long from it and he dashed towards the hole created after Kisuke's attack. He can't use Flash Step anymore because his Ki backup is running out, "Yoruichi-san! Kisuke-senpai!"

Aika also follows Koneko but not as fast as she is. Seeing her in bad shape and the mark on her neck where her hand had previously gripped, Kisuke approached and hugged her gently being careful not to aggravate the wound on Yoruichi's back. He learned this after years of studying Hougyoku and precisely controlling the strange energy emanating from it.

"I'm sorry." He repeated his words and whispered them into Yoruichi's left ear. Her voice contained a tone of self-loathing, worry, sadness, and compassionate. Kisuke ignores the other two who call out to him with worry and only focuses on Yoruichi and shares his regenerative abilities.

Yoruichi returned his embrace and also whispered in his right ear, "It's okay... Welcome back." His voice, contrary to Kisuke's voice, contained relief and joy, but also like Kisuke's voice, a loving tone.

He was even more tired than Yoruichi and Koneko because his mind was also injured from the last attack of Seenime.
