Two weeks have passed.

Issei Hyoudou becomes a reincarnated demon under Rias Gremory after she is killed by a fallen angel in disguise.

They let him do the odd work their familiar did to give him experience.

Issei also had several encounters with other fallen angels and was almost killed again if not for the Gremory slaves. But Kisuke thought that it wouldn't happen if they did a routine check on the state of the city.

Koneko moved in a few days after welcoming their new member and continuing her training.

Koneko's empty-handed battle technique continues to improve thanks to Yoruichi's close and precise guidance. With just half of his total strength and speed, he could defeat Yuuto Kiba in a spar.

Meanwhile, Kisuke finds something impressive while researching about Senjutsu with Koneko.

The life force, which is the main driving force of Senjutsu is somewhat similar to reiryoku (Spiritual Power).

Kisuke discovers that life force comes from the physical body and everything that lives from the surroundings. While the reiryoku comes from the body of the soul and everything with the soul from the surroundings.

Kisuke and Yoruichi's bodies certainly have life force, but they can't really control it and they are relatively ignorant of how they can use or utilize that life force.

However, a new door opens for them when Koneko shows them how her body can manipulate life force naturally.

Kisuke hypothesizes that maybe it was because of his race of being a nekomata and having natural adjustments to life forces like how soul reapers like him and Yoruichi adapted to reiryoku naturally. But again, more research is needed.

That didn't stop Yoruichi from developing the Shinigami Art based on life force and he managed to make a Lightning Step based on it.

Only Koneko can use it at the moment because the resources of Kisuke and Yoruichi are still mana-soul hybrids. They plan to turn it into a life-soul hybrid as it looks better suited to their craft due to the same nature of life force and reiryoku. Although they will not completely throw out mana as magic is a very versatile skill to use.

Flash Step Koneko more or less has the same effectiveness as the counterpart magic. But note that this Magic-based Flash Step was developed and refined over the years by Yoruichi and Kisuke. Flash Step-based Senjutsu, however, only has less than two weeks of development time and is only in its initial state.

Even after considering the experience of the two former Soul Reapers in converting skills, it was still very fast due to its compatibility with the energy source.

Koneko also learned it easier than her magic counterpart.

Kisuke also develops a training regiment for him and Yoruichi to use Senjutsu in preparation for transforming the power of souls. He also begins to redevelop Kidou to accommodate the changes.

Late night. Sakura is already sleeping and she is with Koneko. Sakura decides that she should sleep with him in her room so that the two of them can have a girl's night.

Yoruichi enters Kisuke's room through a window in his cat form.

Yoruichi jumped onto his chest and yawned before giving his report, "Some crows and some bats."

Yoruichi stretched his legs before continuing, "It was still the same group that killed Issei. As for bats, they are newcomers. When one of them used magic, I saw the badge of the Astaroth Family."

"Astaroth? What are they doing here?" Kisuke looked at Yoruichi.

"It looks like they're observing the movements of the exorcist group under the crow."

"The Gremory family might be able to deal with them. What about that blurred presence?"

Yoruichi wrinkled his face in contemplation, "I'm not sure. If not for our ability to sense souls directly, I might not have been able to notice them. If I base it on physical features and aura, they seem to be Grim. Reapers."

"Grim Reaper's? And you almost missed them? Well, that's interesting. Let's go on a date tomorrow night." Kisuke pats Yoruichi on the head.
