Kisuke Uruhara On DXD

Kisuke Uruhara On DXD
Chapter 22

More than an hour after they started playing chess.

"Sekakmat~'s. I won President Shitori. You have to fulfill the end of your deal later~." It was unknown when Kisuke took out the white fan and started fanning himself.

"W-What?" Sona was still staring blankly at the board and processing how she lost.

During the first half hour of the game, Sona thought she was playing with an amateur, but suddenly she discovered that her playing style was changing and all the moves she had made before became a loophole for her to take advantage of. Sona tried to save the situation, but unfortunately, it was too late.

"You lured me," Sona said after reminiscing about the match.

"Yes. You are confident in this game and become more confident once you see me playing like an amateur. You respond with the usual moves on my amateur moves and I can set the board to my advantage in the last half of the game." Kisuke laughed at her.

"How did you learn to do that?" Sona's suspicious.

"I found some tips and tricks on the internet a while ago." Kisuke looked up and remembered a few words from the tutorial on a particular streaming site.

"W-What!?" He did not believe that someone beat him using tricks from the internet. He felt that someone had just shot a magic beam through him.

"...I'm lost." Sona's shoulders slumped down in distress.

"Well President, it's late and I have to go home to prepare dinner for my family cat before he gets grumpy. Let's do a photo shoot next time." Kisuke stood up and walked out of the StuCo room without looking back.

Sona's shoulders soared when she heard about the shoot, now regretting the bet and looking down on her.

"P-President." Tsubaki who had been silent all this time looked at her 'King' worriedly.

"Don't tell me it's Tsubaki. I'm off guard and I won't repeat it again next time." Sona stops Tsubaki from saying anything else.

"B-But."

"It's not Tsubaki. Anyone but that annoying pervert. I'll definitely beat him next time." Sona gritted her teeth.

This was the first time Tsubaki had this kind of reaction to someone outside of her family.

"Understood." But Tsubaki thought that if this came out, the Underworld would have a huge reaction due to the sudden appearance of this 'engagement.

Kisuke, who was unaware of the consequences of what he had just done, happily walking towards the old building to go to the Occult Research Club room to do what he had planned before Sona and Tsubaki blocked his path.

Kisuke reaches the door of Koneko Club's room and knocks on it.

"Come in, it's open." The melodic voice of a girl was heard behind the door.

Kisuke opened the door without hesitation and entered. The interior of the clubroom is a wood-paneled room with Victorian-style sofas and chairs along the walls.

This Occult Research Club is very unique in that it is the only literary club that uses the entire building as its base. The clubhouse is a three-story building, with the third floor serving as a clock tower. It was painted white with a black roof with vines creeping up to the second floor. However, no one questioned it, because magic or the President and Vice President were too popular in Kuoh Academy.

Inside the room were two people, one sitting behind a desk working on some sort of document and the other standing behind him silently.

The one sitting behind the table was Rias Gremory, the 'King' of Gremory slaves and the President of the Occult Research Club. Rias is a beautiful young woman with white skin, blue eyes, and a plump figure. His most distinctive feature is his long, beautiful dark red hair which is also inherited from his father, which reaches his thigh with a strand of hair sticking out from above. Her hair also had loose bangs covering her forehead and side bangs framing her face.

The one standing behind him with a faint smile on his face was Akeno Himejima, 'Queen' Rias and Vice President of the Occult Research Club. Akeno is a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, very long black hair and purple eyes. Her hair was tied to a long ponytail, reaching all the way to her feet with two strands sticking out from above and angled back, with an orange ribbon holding her in place. Like most girls in Kuoh Academy, she wears the usual Kuoh Academy girls school uniform, along with black socks along the calves.

Both are known as the prettiest women in Kuoh Academy for obvious reasons.

"I'm here for Toujou-san, but it doesn't seem like he's here at the moment," Kisuke replied as he prepared to leave.

"He's not here. Koneko needs to attend a meeting somewhere." Rias reciprocates.

"So, I'm sorry for bothering you." Kisuke had already turned around but was suddenly summoned from behind.

"Please wait a while." Rias stands.

"Hmm?" Kisuke looked back at him.

"I heard you're a witch from Koneko and she always comes to your place whenever she's free. He sometimes comes home very tired, and there's even one time he comes back from where you're a little out of there. t is the type who thinks too deeply if it's not something about him or the people close to him." Rias continued to stare straight into Kisuke's eyes.

"And?"

"I hope you have done nothing to hurt or harm him. If so, you'll force my hand to be a little rough." Rias' aura rose as she threatened Kisuke.

"Haha~. You really are an overprotective person just like Koneko-chan said. You don't have to worry about him. I didn't do anything that would harm you or your group. First, I treated Koneko-chan to like my cute little sister." Kisuke just brushed off Rias' threat.

"I'll trust you for now, but I'll see your actions around my family from now on."

"It's okay, but don't point your eyes at my shop. It's the only territory I won't allow you to enter." Kisuke warned Rias before leaving through the door. As for whether he heeded his warning or not, Kisuke did not care too much as there were some barriers to keeping the information from coming out. If he wanted to peek when Koneko was around, he would only see an illusion.

When Kisuke left the clubhouse, Akeno spoke up, "Rias, do you really have to give him so much attention?"

"If it wasn't for the fact that he was the only anomaly in this town, it probably wouldn't be." Rias sat down and relaxed.

"Anomaly?" Akeno's confused.

“When we arrived here, I followed my brother's advice and set up a large-scale detection spell to scan the entire city. And the result is that there are no other supernatural beings left besides us who have just entered the city after the murder of the previous ruler of Kuoh City. They all left after he fell."

"Then what's the problem?" Akeno kept asking.

"He's a witch, remember? The spell was supposed to detect him but it didn't. I wouldn't question the accuracy of the spell if he was a powerful being that could hide his existence from high-level magic. But we only found out his whereabouts after he called. Koneko and introduced herself as a witch."

Akeno prepared tea for Rias to quench her thirst and waited for her to continue speaking.

"After that, I reactivated her spell and this time detected her which made me a little worried after she kept calling Koneko, and Koneko even went to her place in her spare time. I did a follow-up investigation on him and found that he was born in this city and there was no reason for the spell not to detect him unless he only studied magic after I activated his spell for the first time or something's blocking the spell's detection ability."

"Maybe he really only learned it after his spell was activated."

"I really hope that's what happened."

"Are you worried about something?"

"This is the first time I've seen him today up close and my instincts were heard for the first time in years in front of him, and you know I attach great importance to what my subconscious tells me."

"Then let me keep an eye on him."

"Thank you, Akeno."

"Fufu~. You're welcome, President."
