After a rowdy lunch with his friends, Kisuke bids farewell and heads home, leaving them to their own devices.

He directly went to the underground training facility under the candy store after changing into his usual clothes and took out Benihime in the form of his cane.

There he sees Yoruichi in his standard outfit consisting of a black, backless, sleeveless T-shirt, an orange oblong T-shirt with two white straps on each shoulder, a large beige sash on his waist, and black trousers with a pair of light brown shoes, which allows the use of Flash Step stealthily and easily.

He sat on a rock that protruded 50 meters from their Grim Reaper captive while eating his frozen yogurt. Kisuke approached her and asked, "How are they?"

"Sleeping like a baby. Looks like my interrogation pretty drained their minds." Yoruichi replied without turning around, "Do you want me to continue?"

"Don't. They are brainwashed to some extent. There's no point in questioning them." Kisuke rubs his chin in contemplation.

"Then what? Just kill them? They are hostile to children. We better find out who's behind this, at least we won't be so blind." Yoruichi furrowed his brows at Kisuke's reply. Of course, only Koneko who is like her younger sister and Issei technically grew up with her and she likes some things like she did with Ichigo that deserve her worries.

"I've developed a not so good technique. I'll test it later. For now, I'd like to check out the helmets they're wearing." Kisuke's evil grin is back.

"Why are you so careful with them? I can't feel anything other than their power to hide the presence." Yoruichi heaved a sigh of relief because he knew he could hand this over to Kisuke who already had a plan. Yoruichi checked the helmet again and could not see anything other than what was supposed to be used. He had already seen countless artifacts and even used some of them because the Shihouin Clan stored many artifacts, but that did not mean he knew how such items worked.

"You know I'm very sensitive to energy, and half of the energy inside the helmet isn't used. I'm sure its use isn't for something good because they don't know about it either. " Kisuke gave the helmet another inspection from the outside.

"How will you check it?" Yoruichi crossed his arms and asked.

The blade hidden in the staff was in the shape of a medium-sized slender sword. It has a deep red tassel dangling at the end of the hilt, which has a soft decorative indentation. Instead of cross-protectors, there are U-shaped decorations that cover the first three or four-inch blades, with the flower petal design right when met with the cross-strap protector. It also has a red decorative rope wrapped three times around its hilt, with a three-circle arc on one side and a folded paper trinket on the other. The Benihime bar is straight and slender, though somewhat short, with ends that tip like razors, instead of tapering to a point.

Kisuke directed Benihime towards the Grim Reaper whose helmet was emitting an ominous light, "Chikasumi no Tate (Blood Mist Shield)."

A red hexagonal shield appeared in front of Kisuke. He also used Flash Step to jump backwards, but before he could leave the area, a huge white explosion with a radius of 100 meters engulfed the area.

"Kiss!!!" Yoruichi shouted his name worriedly. He felt the force of the explosion and wanted to go to where he was but he knew it would be useless and just put himself in danger, 'Kisuke is strong. He will only get a few injuries if he does enough defense.' Yoruichi convinced himself. He tries to find where Kisuke is but fails due to the revolving and chaotic energy that ignites due to the explosion.

A figure came out from the explosion and hit the wall creating a small crater on top of it. Yoruichi saw this and Flash Stepped towards him and saw Kisuke embedded in the wall. Her clothes were in tatters and her hat was gone and she was still holding Benihime. But what is different is the ivory mask that broke on his face, his eye sclera is black and his irises are green.

Kisuke jumped down from the wall, his eyes returned to normal and the ivory mask disappeared entirely, "Hei Yoruichi, are you worried?" Kisuke gave his trademark grin. He saw her reaction and felt grateful deep down. Ever since they opened up to each other, they seemed to worry about every little thing about each other that was unthinkable in the past. But it wasn't a bad premonition, instead, Kisuke felt an overwhelming satisfaction that someone he called a lover was worried about him, 'I should have opened up to him earlier in the past.'

Yoruichi pouted slightly and approached him. He then gave her a quick punch to his nose.

"Oh." Kisuke hurriedly covered his nose with his hands to take care of him, "You can't hide your embarrassment by being rude, you know."

"Shut up, if you can talk nonsense, then you're fine." Yoruichi turned around and walked back to their remaining captives.

He does not want another accident to happen again but it never hurts to take some precautions. He put up some barriers and set up a teleportation array under his feet so that he could instantly teleport to Yoruichi's side no matter what happened.

Yoruichi followed his instructions again, but this time, he was only 200 meters away from her, not 1.5 kilometers from the entrance to Kisuke's current position.

Yoruichi sighed but smiled afterwards, "Good work." He whispered to Kisuke who had taken a nap.

He carefully adjusted the position in the sling of the 'Princess' and carefully moved it to the hot spring at the training ground.

The hot spring baths were the same as the ones they had at their secret training grounds earlier.
