Medusa wakes up with the sun shining through her window. He slowly sat down and sighed. After last night's 'dream', everything felt light. All his worries seemed so small. His outlook on life also changed, instead of surviving just to avoid experiencing that 'hell', he now wants to survive to find a way to be together again with his brothers. An impossible desire in the past.
Medusa waited for a while before standing up. He noticed that even though the same barrier from yesterday was already installed, the doors and windows of the room were unlocked. If he wanted to, he could escape now, 'Is he really sure that I won't escape?'
Medusa was tempted to run away just because she did not want to go with her expectations and see what her face looked like, but brushed off the thought of it because she really needed her help for her sister. But imagining such a scenario made her feel a bit dizzy. Obviously, that's Kisuke's bad influence.
Opening the door, she was greeted by Kisuke's mischievous grin, "Good morning~. How was last night~?"
Medusa wanted to get angry, but she recalled her 'dream', for the first time, she smiled gently at Kisuke, "That's amazing, thank you."
Kisuke was a little surprised by his answer, but soon recovered and smiled again, this time without the carelessness he had before, "That's good. Come here and have breakfast. We'll be out later."
Medusa followed her steps towards the dining table and curiously asked, "Go later? Where are we going?" He had mixed feelings about going out because his enemy was still looking for him. He could finally be sure that the pendant he had given before was functioning as he explained.
"Because I won't be here for too long, I want to explore as much as I can. And besides, I'd like to know if they have any other way of tracking you beyond your energy signature."
They arrived at the dining room and the people in the house welcomed Medusa. They noticed that his skin and attitude were much better than yesterday.
They ate their light breakfast and the four of them, Kisuke, Yoruichi, Claire, and Medusa immediately came out.
Kisuke helps Medusa disguise herself using illusion magic. Now his knee-length hair is painted black tied to a ponytail while wearing a black turtle neck and gray pants. As for the blindfold, Kisuke did extra care with illusion magic, adding a normal eye on his face. His temporary eyes matched his hair and it moved depending on his focus, but to those observant people, it would still feel somewhat inorganic, so Kisuke gave him big sunglasses to cover it up with.
As soon as they came out of the house, Medusa could only look around in nervousness. This was the first time he had come out openly.
"You don't have to worry. We'll just go around today. If someone else manages to see your disguise, we'll run away soon." Kisuke said after he realized that he kept looking around making it more striking. He was currently carrying Claire on his shoulders while he pointed at all sorts of things that caught his attention.
Medusa nodded obediently and reduced the frequency of looking around her. Kisuke understood that he would not be able to completely dispel her worries and let her do as she wished.
They wander around all day and the only ones who do not enjoy their trip are Medusa as Kisuke and Yoruichi continue to go to places where the members of the Perseus Clan are searching. Whenever they found one, Medusa would always tighten her muscles and get ready for battle so she could not enjoy the air outside. Doing this several times made him tired more than struggling on his own.
They return when the sun starts to set. On the way, Kisuke commented, "I don't think they can find you with this much concealment."
"I don't think... But it won't be long." Medusa answered while looking down.
"As long as the Gods interfere, they will easily find me no matter how much you hide my existence." Medusa smiled wryly. It is only a matter of time when a certain Goddess is bored.
"so... As long as you're tied up, you can't escape." muttered Kisuke.
Medusa stopped walking and looked at Kisuke in shock, "You...!"
"All right, let's stop talking about this. Even I won't be able to do anything now..." Kisuke also stopped walking and faced him.
"So you know... Is correct... There's nothing to be done about that... Unless a miracle happens..." Medusa lowered her head and smiled defeatedly.
"..."
"So if you want something from me, hurry up. I can't stay with you forever... I only want one thing from you..."
"The constant security of those souls?"
"Yes..."
Kisuke suddenly smiled and replied, "Oke~."
Medusa heaved a sigh of relief at his reply and thought, 'Should I reveal my true identity to them?... No. gabe... That's not necessary. I'll just be a passing figure in their lives. No need to complicate it. As long as my sister is safe, everything is fine.'
Medusa would then spend and experience the most peaceful moments of her life after her battle with the original Perseus for several days. She will learn many things such as cooking and sewing. And in that span of time, he would find some hobbies that could make him happy.
First is cycling. After overcoming her initial fear of getting caught by wandering outside, she began to enjoy cycling and would do so for an hour or two each day. The second is reading. Kisuke gives her some novels to pass the time while she checks them out by injecting her own Reiatsu-Ki and taking some blood and tissue samples. The last one is alcohol. Every night, he gets drunk. Really enjoying his life to the fullest.
The thing she is most grateful for, however, is that Kisuke will allow her to meet his sister whenever she goes to bed. Although only a few days passed, Medusa would be cheerful, although her serious, cold, and calm exterior would always be there.
At that moment, Medusa recalled her sister's words, 'Please... Hang in... For your happiness...'
"That's what they're talking about?" He muttered softly to himself with a gentle and happy smile on his face. He had almost forgotten that there was still a threat approaching him. What he did not know though, was that due to a certain man's decision to interfere in his affairs looking for a kick, the entire Greek Pantheon would tremble.
