Chapter 110

The last day of the ten-day training that Riser gave to the Gremory Peerage. Koneko stood in front of Kisuke, Yoruichi and the haggard Aika.

Koneko is currently in her nekomata form but with some differences from usual. His cat's ears and tail had white coals on the ends. Her eyes are surrounded by a blue pigment that looks like a thick eyeliner. And his pupils shone with a golden light and his irises were jet black.

In this form, Koneko has the physical abilities of a fully mature Middle to High Class Devil. His defensive level was also upgraded to another level that even without his Citadel piece, which honestly only held him back at the moment, Koneko could stand still and let Yuuto Kiba attack him and he would only get some rashes. He also gained access to the ability to produce white flames that directly burned vitality or life force, although he could not use them repeatedly. Since this was the result of the Senjutsu (Acceptor Technique), Kisuke called this form the ascetic Mode.

Sage Mode was of course not all advantages, in the current stage, there were also some major disadvantages. Thus, Koneko's Conferred Mode could only be considered a last resort if she wanted to end the fight quickly or if she wanted to let her opponent off guard especially if they were unaware of her abilities.

This was a useless skill on the large battlefield, but in something like the Rating Game, where you only needed to take the King's head according to the rules, then this would be his sharpest weapon.

"You can rest now, Koneko-chan. The game is scheduled for tonight. Let's eat before we go to the academy." Kisuke reminded Koneko. Actually, Kisuke was surprised by Koneko's progress. Koneko took a deep breath and she returned to her normal form of nekomatas.

"May I watch too?" Aika asked. These past 10 days, she trained harder than Koneko due to Yoruichi's arrangements. The dormant Reiryoku did not improve much but his technical skills improved to another level so he could deal with Yuuto Kiba if they had the same specifications. He was even better than her in some skills like detection and movement. What he needs now is some real-life battle experience that Yoruichi continues to impart to him.

"Not in place. I'll set up some viewing platforms at home so that you and Mom can also enjoy the show." Kisuke.

Koneko bowed in front of them and expressed her gratitude, "Kisuke-senpai, Yoruichi-san. Thank you for everything you've done for me. I will definitely return the favor someday."

Kisuke did not respond but to Aika, it was affirmative.

On the same day, 23:30. Riser has fun with 'Queen' Yubelluna when her sister Ravel Phenex interrupts their fun, "The game to decide the fate of your engagement will begin soon, however." He sighed resignedly.

Ravel is a beautiful young girl with dark blue eyes. She had long blonde hair tied into twintails with large drill-like curls and blue ribbons that kept her in place. The front of her hair has several bangs hanging from her forehead, with a V-shaped bangs hanging at the base of her nose.

Her outfit consists of a light purple dress with a deep purple accent and a blue ribbon on the front. On the back, three feather-like extensions mimic the tail of a bird protruding from the dress.
