Chapter 39

Return to the training ground on the same day.

Two unconscious Grim Reapers were sitting side by side in wooden chairs and their limbs were tied to armrests and legs with some kind of metal bond Kisuke made.

Moments later the two woke up at the same time and found themselves bound and looking around. They saw the surrounding rocky terrain and a large wall in the distance. Looking around again, they knew that they were in a very large room because of the walls and ceiling.

"S-senpai, are you awake?" The big man started to fidget trying to untie her. He thought that the person who bound them in this way was quite stupid, a simple chair could easily break with just a wave of their aura. But he was surprised that he could not channel his strength. He looked at his bonds and noticed that as they moved, the little things instantly dissolved all the accumulated power and energy.

"Yes, right, Bors." The little ones also try the same and are desperate when they realize their situation.

"Mir-senpai, who can catch us?" The big man named Bors asked his senpai again. He did not stop trying to escape but all he could do was shake the chair slightly.

Mir secretly examined this man and was very surprised, "How!? A human!? How can you detect us!?"

Kisuke returns to his house and sees Koneko has returned from the church. He was having a late-night snack while watching television.

Her mother, Sakura, was also beside her sitting on the sofa doing the same thing as Koneko. They are quite focused on events featuring pandas.

They saw Kisuke enter the living room and greeted him, "You're late dear. Where are you going?", "Good night, senpai."

Kisuke was speechless anymore and had just picked up some juice from the fridge and walked back to the living room to sit next to them and also watch television. The two did not tease her further and also watched the show now featuring polar bears.

"Is that so? Good for you." Sakura patted Koneko's head and smiled at her. Koneko likes her a lot, but if she is asked who is the best, she will not answer but her choice is Kisuke because she is strangely used to it and is very good at it.

Sakura saw that the show was over and urged the two, "Well you two, it's time for bed. There's class tomorrow. Brush your teeth before you go up."

Sakura stands up and turns off the television and collects the dishes and glasses and takes them to the kitchen sink. Kisuke and Koneko followed his instructions and brushed their teeth before boarding.

"Good night, ma'am," Kisuke said before he boarded.

"Good night, aunt." Koneko did the same.

"Good night you two," Sakura smiled at them and replied.

He saw them go up and wash the dishes in the sink. After doing so, he sat on the terrace with a glass of water in his hand and stared at the stars.

'Something big happened tonight, the atmosphere was very disturbed. Maybe something related to Koneko because she is a demon and went out tonight.' He drank a glass of water and continued to ponder.

They separated from each other and smiled. Yoruichi lifted the blanket and covered himself, laid himself on the bed and closed his eyes with a satisfied smile.

They always do this whenever Yoruichi stays up late and has to sleep when Kisuke wakes up.

Kisuke looked at her with a gentle smile and patted her head. He then walked out of the room to get ready, bringing a change of clothes down.

Arriving in the bathroom he saw the bathtub was filled with warm water. His mother knew that Kisuke loved to swim every morning and always prepared it for him whenever he was around.

After taking a shower, she put on her school uniform and went to the dinner table. Koneko was already sitting on the chair while her mother prepared their lunch box.

"Good morning." Kisuke sat down and started eating his breakfast consisting of white rice, miso soup, grilled fish, and various side dishes.

"Morning," Koneko returned her greeting and continued eating her breakfast with great pleasure.

"Kisuke, I'll be home late tonight so take care of your dinner later." Sakura packed three lunch boxes and placed them on the table, "Koneko-chan, give this to your grandmother." He pointed to one of the three lunch boxes.

"Thank you, aunt." Koneko smiled at her still new act of caring for him because even though he was adopted by the Gremory Clan, it was very rare for him to have a 'family' atmosphere like this.

"Either. Koneko-chan" Sakura smiled back at him.

He took off his apron and returned to his room to prepare to go to work, leaving only Koneko and Kisuke at the dinner table.
