Chapter 31

"Akeno-san, we found them." Tsubaki stands on top of the building overlooking the shopping district.

"What are they doing?" Akeno asked as she installed a magic circle inside Kisuke's shop. He also inspected the entire place once again with his own eyes and found nothing but how immobile the old woman was while guarding the shop. If it wasn't for her breathing, Akeno would have thought the woman was dead.

"They seem to be shopping for daily necessities and having fun every once in a while." Tsubaki fixed her glasses and reported it.

"Dating? They skipped school to date!?" Akeno could not believe what she heard, especially the other person was the stoic Koneko.

"No, there's someone else with them. A dark-skinned beautiful black haired woman who was the same age as Kisuke Urahara. If I have to give my honest opinion, it looks like a family outing because Koneko-san is also very close to this woman." Tsubaki inevitably fixed her glasses again as she said that, after all, she also knew Koneko's personality, too, and seeing him laughing and smiling with the people outside of Sitri and the Gremory Nobility was quite unbelievable for him.

"Family streets? Send me a video feed." Akeno's mouth twitched.

Tsubaki did not say anything more and manipulated her magic circle to send a video feed to Akeno.

"W-how?" Akeno looked at the three figures who were talking happily. Koneko, who was one of the three figures laughed and smiled like a normal child her age.

She knows for sure that Koneko cannot express herself properly or even act out due to her past trauma. He took a closer look at Koneko and saw that she was really happy.

Akeno felt happy for him and was also a little jealous because someone they did not know managed to open her heart. The relieved expression Koneko gave off was sometimes also very confusing to her. He had to show this to Rias first before making any further decisions.

Akeno finished after hiding many magic circles throughout the store and returned to the school to report what happened today.

Rias Gremory heard a knock on the door of the club room as she was working on some reports that would be sent to the Underworld.

"Lake in."

The door opened and Akeno came in.

"Nice." Rias looked up and saw Akeno's serious expression.

"What's going on?" Rias furrowed her brows and stopped what she was doing.

"Before I make my report, please take a look at this." Akeno flicked her finger and the television in the room lit up by itself. The flat-screen TV showed videos of Kisuke, Yoruichi, and Koneko happily talking and playing around.

Rias stared blankly at the screen until it turned black and the video stopped playing.

Rias turned to Akeno with a look of disbelief and asked, "How?"

"really? I have the same question as you." Akeno shook her head with a wry smile.

"Tell me everything you see." Rias stood up and looked out the window.

Akeno told me everything since she called her familiar. He appeared in front of them and unleashed a wave of magic to interrupt the complicated spells affecting the mind.

"so. If all this is true, then I'm happy for Koneko and I have to thank her and this unknown woman." Rias let out a long sigh and turned to Akeno.

"What should we do now." Akeno's confused.

"Keep watching him. We didn't get any evidence that he was manipulating Koneko but we still can't rule out that possibility. I don't want to risk it if it's about the safety of my precious slave." Rias walked back to her desk and sat back down.

"And if we're wrong?" Akeno could only worry.

"I'll apologize personally and I'll owe him for keeping Koneko." Rias smiled lightly, "I really hope we're wrong."

After a few minutes, a knock on the door sounded. Obtaining permission to enter, a young man entered.

He was a handsome young man with short blond hair, blue eyes and a mole under his left eye.

He wore a Kuoh Academy male school uniform, which consisted of a black blazer with a white accent on a long-sleeved white shirt with a black ribbon on the collar, matching black pants, and a black dress shirt, and brown shoes.

"Good night, Buchou, Akeno-san." He greeted both.

"How did it go, Yuuto?" Rias turned her head towards the newcomer and asked.

The young man sat on the sofa and Akeno placed a cup of tea in front of him.

This man is Yuuto Kiba, Knight Rias Gremory.

"Thank you Akeno-san. Fallen angels don't move but they're going on a date tomorrow." Yuuto made his report and drank his tea.

"Ara ara, fufu."

"He'll probably do it tomorrow." Rias leaned back in her chair and smiled.

"Will he be our new partner?" Yuuto asked his master.

"It still depends on him," Rias replied.

"Buchou by the way, it seems like this Issei Hyoudou was Kisuke Urahara's good friend since childhood," Akeno spoke from the side.

"Kisuke Urahara? You mean that guy?"

"Hmm? You know him, Yuuto?" Rias also drank her tea.

"Yes, I mean just a few people who don't know about him. He was quite famous in school, though not in a good way. And Akeno-san probably knows the basics about him."

"Tell me what you know." Rias urged him to talk more.

"Let's see, he is a known leader of the 'Four Heavenly Deviants' who are known to do all sorts of perverted things, but most of them are small things."

"Is there anything like that in our school?" Rias looked at him with her mouth twitching.

"Sona-kaichou probably knows more about him."

"Sona?"

"Right, I forgot to tell you something Rias-buchou because of Koneko's problem. I heard from Tsubaki-san that Sona-kaichou wants to take her as her Knight." Both Rias and Yuuto were shocked after hearing this.

"Why? I think she's a witch and her Bishop Piece is in use. But I'll understand if it's Room." Rias's confused.

"It seems like he has a sword-type Sacred Gear, although weak, he is so skilled at using it that he is able to outrun the Knight Sona-kaichou." Akeno continued.

"Now that you mention Sona-kaichou, there are also rumors circulating that Kaichou is also the victim of her perverted antics" Yuuto muttered from the side.

"W-what?" Both Akeno and Rias were speechless.

"What the fuck is this guy. He's making me dizzy too much." Rias pressed her temple and sighed.
