Chapter 167

Kisuke did a final test on his 'trump card' to make sure that it would work as expected.

While busy, Yoruichi suddenly calls from behind him, "Kisuke, it seems like they are moving and Ana is instantly captivated."

"Oh?" Kisuke stopped what he was doing and peeked at the screen. She sees Ana reading a leaflet shared by one of Perseus's, "Yoruichi, do you have any information about the woman in the photo?"

Yoruichi shook his head in response, "Teach me how to control this camera."

Kisuke teaches him basic control of the camera and after a minute, Yoruichi masters its use. He then controlled everything except one to surround the entire island. The left one remained focused on Ana who was now trembling furiously while the others tried to catch the faces of the people who were distributing the brochures.

"How's that?" Kisuke asked while preparing tea for the two of them.

"These men are the men of Petter Perseus ..." Yoruichi furrowed his brows as he recalled the information he had gathered these past few days, "But he shouldn't be interested in the Clan Chief's seat ..."

"Maybe it's all just a ruse to dispose of another candidate?" Kisuke tried to guess but even he knew how impossible this was.

"If that was the case, then he would have used this move a long time ago. I can't think of a reason why he wanted to delay this." After getting the faces of the people who distributed the brochures, Yoruichi then collected half of the cameras towards the location written on the brochure, Aphaia Temple.

Kisuke noticed Medusa's movements and was interested in what she was doing, "Let's see now... It seems like Ana-san has some plans."

"And that plan doesn't include us" Yoruichi commented.

Kisuke chuckled in response, "I think he's too good... I wonder what that has to do with that girl?"

"Whatever it is, it's not a superficial one." Yoruichi nodded at his words, 'He is important enough that he can risk his life... But why did he just show up now?'

"true." Kisuke had the same question on his mind but did not know any of the two of them knew the answer so they did not voice it out.

They witness how Medusa pretends to be a lost tourist to join a group to approach the temple until she leaves from it. Yoruichi nodded in satisfaction with the way he moved, "While there are some things he can improve on, he does a good job at it."

"What do you think of him as your servant?" Kisuke suddenly asked.

"Hm... If I could teach him a few things, then he would be a big help when there were too many things going on. And the biggest thing about him is he's an outcast. As long as we defeat this Clan and make sure that the Olympians won't touch it, he can do a lot. But you asked this... You decided to accept it?"

"There's no better option, right? Especially now that we need a workforce unrelated to the Three Factions."

Yoruichi sighed. He did not argue against it because he was right about those who needed more manpower, but they had too many secrets and could not recruit anyone. They could only do it by chance, like this, "I also think that he's the type of person who won't stop until his 'debt' pays off after everything's done."

After discussing bringing Medusa in, Kisuke and Yoruichi heard a beep from the screen that showed the temple, "What is that?" ask Yoruichi.

"What's wrong?"

"Can you check inside?"

"They'll probably detect these things if we do that. We can only do that if I'm going in."

"So, you're going to announce your entrance?"

"Then it's done. Yoruichi, gather everything except the ones in Ana. I'm gonna make some modifications now."

"Of course..." Kisuke wants to say more but he sees something strange on the way Ana moves after separating from the tourist group.

Yoruichi also noticed this and returned his attention to the screen, "What is he doing?"

Medusa was currently stalking a group from the Perseus Clan patrolling the area. Kisuke and Yoruichi watched his movements closely as he was currently emitting a hint of blood lust.

When the group entered an alley where no one else was, Medusa immediately pounced on them and dropped them all, 'This is completely unnecessary. They're just real minions...'

Just as Kisuke and Yoruichi were trying to guess the reason behind his useless attempt, the two furrowed their eyebrows when they saw the next action.

Medusa walked towards one of the fallen men and after a minute or two of hesitation, she took out her dagger and slit her throat. The man's blood spurted out like a fountain and died in his sleep. What made Kisuke and Yoruichi put on a serious expression was when the blood from the man floated and gathered in Medusa's hands like a ball. After getting everything, the tendril emerged from the blood ball and went to Medusa's mouth to drink it. The blood ball slowly lost its volume until Medusa consumed it all. After he finished, he burned the corpse with simple fire magic and left the place where he was trailing the other groups of the Perseus Clan.

"What was that?" Yoruichi voiced his concern.

Kisuke did not speak and just continued to look at the screen displaying Medusa, 'What happened?'
