8. Two Srikandis Have Fallen

Desi's smile dimmed along with the dark sky above. He looked at the emptiness of the horizon, the cloudy sign and the rain would hit the earth. His heart was cold, no warmth enveloped him. His eyes were blank, with no definite purpose tonight.

"Ma?" Laura called Desi. Turmoil and guilt have been brewing since this afternoon. "Mama didn't go inside?"

Laura is a free girl out there. She often truant, doing crazy things, to make her end up in a pregnancy with no clear status.

Desi looked at Laura. "You're the one who came in." His tone was so sharp. Desi was disappointed in Laura, of course.

Laura will snap, elevate her tone. Laura would have protested to her mother if it made her freedom difficult.

"Laura wants to apologize" Laura whispered. He did not even dare to stand beside Desi. "Laura admitted wrong."

Laura just had that, regret and sadness. Whatever his actions will never put him back in position before this mistake happens.

Desi turned her head again, gesturing for Laura to come closer. Although the back garden of the hospital was so quiet, but this was an open space to talk about such a great disgrace.

Laura lowered her gaze. "Mom can punish Laura," she said. "Laura will take it."

"Indeed, if mom punishes you and even beats you to death, what will happen after?" Desi returned the question to Laura.

Desi smiled wryly. "If it can relieve your heart and can bring things back to the way they were, you will."

Desi wiped her tears, unbearable to see the condition of her daughter. He has failed in everything.

Desi looked at Laura's stomach. "Who's father?" ask Desi. "Mom won't ask how it happened, because it doesn't matter at all."

"Sir Adam agreed to marry me. Why is it important for my mom now?" Laura tried to prevent. He did not want to drag Daffa's name into his troubles.

Desi smiled obliquely. He ignored Laura again. "It's up to you if you don't confess. Mama won't force."

Laura feels the coldness of Desi's attitude tonight. Her mother is not usually like this. No matter how angry Desi was about his previous mistakes, Desi never ignored Laura.

Laura remained silent, closing the conversation indirectly.

"Laura?" Desi glanced at. "You're not an adult yet?" ask Desi. "Mama thought you'd say it right away when ...." Desi stopped in that sentence.

Laura would never become an adult in her eyes. Just a spoiled child, who does not know where to go without his parents telling him to.

"Here you go, Mama's free to waste energy on you!" Desi turned around. It was uncomfortable talking to Laura.

Seeing Desi who was about to leave him, Laura prevented. "Mama hates me?" ask Laura.

Desi looked at me. His gaze met Laura's pair of eyes that were filled with hope.

"You're an adult!" Desi began to vent out in annoyance. He patted his suddenly claustrophobic chest, from earlier holding back the anger as well as the sadness that was struggling in his heart.

Desi approached Laura. "You're even going to be a mother now, but you can't understand the situation?" tanya Desi dongkol's. "Laura! Look mama!" snapped it.

All ages, Laura had never been yelled at by Desi with such a facial expression. His mother was not only angry, but fed up with him.

"You, you should already know what circumstances are waiting for our family tomorrow morning" Desi added.

Desi pointed in any direction. I hope that it makes the point clear. Laura is hard to think far.

Laura shed her tears. "Why did Mama say that?" He asked with a trembling tone of speech. "Papa can survive. We can do everything we have to save Papa."

Desi shook her head. The confidence he had was much greater than Laura's. "If someone could save your papa, Mama would never call you here today, Laura!"

"We have no hope for your father's life anymore!" Desi roaring. He kicked his leg like a kid who lost a toy. "Now you're adding to problems like this!"

Desi cries in front of Laura while crouching in her daughter's arms. "You should just kill Mama! Rather than torturing Mama like this!"

"Mom why did you say that?" Laura whined. The trembling in his voice sounded clear. "I'm sorry."

Desi squirms in front of Laura. Sadness could not be contained anymore, she could not hide anything in front of Laura. Sobs filled the air, an atmosphere of sadness surrounded them.

"You should just kill Mama, Laura!" Desi repeated again in the middle of her sobs. He held both of his daughters legs. "Mama can no longer accept all this!"

Laura crouched down in front of Desi, hugging her mother who tried to avoid her. "Sorry Laura, Ma," she replied. "Laura's wrong! Very guilty!"

"Now what should we do if things are like this?" desi with a soft. "Mama can't do this anymore. For months Mama tried to strengthen herself, but your father had no hope whatsoever" she grumbled in sobs.

Laura did not reply, drifting away in overwhelming sadness.

From a distance, someone was looking at them. Two women drifting in grief for their defeat against the situation.

Adam never thought, Laura immediately showed a different side in one day. The girl gave a lot of question marks to Adam, about how the original temperament was.

"Will Adam marry that girl?" Rinjani is the name of Adam's adopted sister. The little girl was still unwilling, if her brother fell into the arms of the wrong girl.

"Laura doesn't seem to love Mas Adam." Rinjani again concluded. "Later you will suffer if you live together by force" he said.

Adam rubbed Rinjani's back. "Rin, I shouldn't have taught you this just yet, you're not old enough." Adam thunts funny.

Rinjani frowned. "This Adam's mom! Can you still joke?"

"Love comes with time. Love grows out of habit, Rin." Adam says.

Rinjani shook her head. "It's just a myth. If that's true, no one should get divorced, right?"

Adam mangosteen. "That means they work the other way around, Rin."

Rinjani looked again. "Working the other way around?" tanyakanya. "All the lines will be the same. We're just human beings following God's will, aren't we?"

Adam mangosteen. "Maybe God's will is for me to marry Laura, Rin."

"Mas Adam just forced, didn't he?" Rinjani is worried. "Being Mas Adam's parents he would understand why Mas Adam could not carry out their will" he said.

Rinjani looked far ahead. "Mas Adam deserves better than Laura" he said. "Mbak Nurwa is much more deserving of Mas Adam."

Adam smiled knot. "I'm not worthy of a sholehah girl like Nurwa, Rin. I'm not good enough" Adam said.
