Hell's Charm From My Wife

Hell's Charm From My Wife
14. (Not) First Night

First night of Laura's wedding.

"Mama told me to accompany you tonight." Adam came out of the bathroom. "Nothing's wrong either, I'm your husband."

Laura smiled in anguish. He sat in a rattan chair next to the window of his room. "You're going to sleep here too? Looks like you're enjoying your new status as a man's husband."

Laura had no spirit to discuss it. "You can sleep in bed. I'll find somewhere else."

Laura was about to get up from the seat, but Adam stopped her. The man sat at the end of the bed not far from Laura's place. Without a word, he took something out of his pants pocket. Give a small box to Laura.

Laura was astonished, but Adam's eyes gave the code to take her gift.

"What's this?" ask Laura ketus. He opened the box slowly. Laura was flabbergasted when she saw that her wedding ring was in Adam's hand, but she had it in her jacket pocket.

"We just got married this morning, but you took it off this afternoon." Adam smiled faintly. "Say that's a bad sign."

"Do you believe in such myths?" Laura chuckles. "It turns out you're an old-fashioned man."

Laura lifted the ring embedded in the hole of the small box, she did not expect that the ring turned into a pendant of a necklace. Laura looked at Adam not understanding.

"I'm sure you won't use it at school" Adam said. He showed off the ring on his finger. "Because I'm gonna use it."

Laura was still silent, trying to understand Adam's words.

"You can't leave it anywhere, it can be lost." Adam was quite pleasantry. "So I made you a necklace. You can hide it behind your uniform but you can wear it constantly."

Laura was speechless. He had intended to never wear anything related to this marriage.

"Want me to wear it?" ask Adam. Almost she stood up, but Laura prevented it. He shook his head. "Wouldn't you?"

Laura did not give an answer.

"Well, if you don't want to." Adam twisted his footsteps, about to leave from inside Laura's room.

"Sir Adam?" Laura prevented. "Something I want to ask."

Adam looked and nodded. A faint smile she gave to calm Laura's worries. Although there were no words about it, but Adam at least knew what Laura had in mind at the moment.

"On Nurwa," Laura said in an emergency. "He seems to like you so much, Mr. Adam."

Adam just nodded his head. "Want to?"

"You don't regret leaving such a good woman just for me?" ask Laura. "My account is ...."

"Don't you expect this marriage to be over when your father isn't around?" Adam turned the question around. That sentence left Laura speechless in 1000 languages.

Everything that happened was like the wind passing by so quickly. Laura didn't even expect she would sit here as a man's wife.

"I'm just asking. Probably ...." Laura's words came to a halt when the phone ring interjected, it was Adam's cell phone.

Adam grabbed his phone. See who made the voice call to her. "Aunty Desi?"

"Mama?" Laura immediately replied. The panic just came if it had been offensive about his mother.

At the same time, the house bell rang. A guest came to visit them tonight. Laura could not ignore as the bell's voice increasingly urged her to open the door immediately. He immediately accepted the guests who came.

"Let me know what Mom said. I have to open the door for guests!" laura's toilet.

....

Laura ran towards the doorway, anyone who came should not know where Adam was here. He was lazy to explain things especially if it was Belen.

How surprised Laura was when she found Daffa standing in the doorway. The boy came to him tonight.

"Daffa?" Laura was a little panicked, but she also couldn't lie to herself if she was happy. His heart was relieved for no reason.

Laura once turned her head inside the house, hoping Adam would not catch up with her.

"What are you doing here tonight?" ask Laura. "Our relationship is over. I'm sure I don't have to repeat the sentence to hurt your heart again."

Daffa nodded his head. "That's exactly what I came here for. I want to talk to you four-eyes."

"Your mom's inside?" ask Daffa while he is crying. "Please allow him so I can talk to you these nights. I know it's time to study, but ...."

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Laura immediately replied, her tone filled with impatience. "About this pregnancy?"

"Ra?" Daffa was a little surprised when Laura said it out loud. "Will you hear how your mom hears?"

Laura grinned thinly. "That's why you came here? Though you know that our conversation can be heard with mama."

No one knew how Laura's family was doing at the moment. Everything was inversely proportional to Laura's expectations in the past. Maybe that happiness will stop tonight.

Laura took a long breath. "I don't want to talk about pregnancy with anyone including you."

"Ra, I'm the father of that baby. I also deserve to know what happened." Daffa. He grabbed Laura's wrist. "Belen says you've been acting strange lately. He's even starting to suspect me."

"We've severed our relationship, Daffa. There's nothing to talk about anymore." Laura is stubborn. While letting go of Daffa's hand slowly so as not to hurt him, he spoke again. "This pregnancy let me take care of. Let me decide what to do."

"You don't have to worry about this. You can move on with your life and high ideals" Laura said. A smile never leaves his lips. "I just pray you enjoy the journey of life without any regrets."

Daffa understood Laura was filing a protest with him

"Ra, I understand that you're angry with me. But ...."

"Ra! We're going to the hospital now!" Unfortunately, Adam suddenly came down from the top floor in a hasty step. He walked over to Laura while carrying his jacket.

Laura was surprised not to play, she did not expect the meeting of Adam and Daffa would be this dramatic.

Daffa frowned. "You ...the new teacher, right?" Daffa pointed at Adam's face. Now the focus of his gaze was on Laura. "Rho? Why is he here?"

Laura could not explain. In front of Daffa, Laura stuttered now.

"Laura? Tell me what the hell is going on? Why is this new teacher in your house?" ask Daffa again. "It looks like you're familiar with each other."

Adam looked at Daffa. "So you're Daffa?" ask Adam.

Before Adam could continue his sentence, Laura pulled the end of Adam's jacket to shut up.

Daffa mangosteen. "True, why is it?"

"Goodoo. Meet me in my room tomorrow morning at school. I have something to talk to you about, son." Adam closed his sentence. "Now Laura and I are very busy."
