Next day.
"Ah, my leg," Laura grumbled softly as she lashed her leg in the knee. "I think if it's any longer, my beautiful legs could break!"
Adam glanced at Laura's adorable manner. This was not the first time Laura had grumbled after getting off the city bus. He did it all morning, yesterday and today.
"Do you want me to get a pijitin?" kekeh Adam from beside Laura.
The girl looked. "Basic pervert!" squeal Laura.
Adam just laughed looking at Laura's upset face this morning.
"Why did you tell me to stand up?" Laura is back to grumbling. "I ran into the bus and struggled to find a seat, but Mr. Adam told me to stand up when the old man came!"
Adam just smiled as he shook his head.
"You should be more concerned with your wife." Laura growled softly. "You really don't have the same feelings as me! I was pregnant." Laura's voice ran out at the end of the sentence. The girl looked away, when she realized Adam was watching her.
"He's an old man" Adam replied in the end. "The legs alone are not strong to walk, how can you stand for a long time?"
Laura looked at Adam. "Why do you bother him?" tanyakanya. "He's a boy, he's okay, and I?" Laura pointed to herself. "I'm a girl and I'm pregnant."
"Maura ...."
"Ladies first!" laura won't let Adam talk.
There's a patience for meetings, she has to face a girl like Laura every day. His selfishness was mixed with incredible stubbornness. It's hard to change that stance.
"Tomorrow I'll go with my friends." Laura proposed kindness to herself. "Or I'll take a cab."
"A house-to-school cab is expensive, Laura." Adam answered softly. He carefully touched Laura's heart. "It's been almost an hour. If it gets stuck it can be more than that."
Laura stopped suddenly. Eyes on Adam. "At least I can sit comfortably!"
"I don't have to stand up or jostle" Laura argued. "I cape have to do that every day, Mr. Adam." Laura suddenly whined. "I'm not used to it! It's hard to get used to me."
Adam did not answer. He's back on his way.
"Even after we get off the bus we still have to walk a few minutes to get to school," Laura said trying to attract the attention of Adam. "Why not just take a taxi?"
Adam took a breath. "You're only standing seven minutes before the bus gets to the stop and we get off, Laura."
Adam looked at Laura's feet. Indeed, it's level and pretty. Milk white skin without the slightest scratch. Laura took good and perfect care of her body.
"Seven minutes of standing won't break your leg bones" Adam said. She smiled at Laura.
Adam rubbed the top of Laura's head. "You're not the princess anymore."
Laura turned her face away, annoyed. Laura was angry with Adam's last words. This guy really doesn't fit in with her.
"I don't want to go to school either bus anymore!" shouted Laura. I wish Adam could hear his words further and further.
Adam smiled faintly while shaking his head. Sometimes Laura's selfishness and spoiled nature become entertainment for her boring life.
"Mas Adam?" Someone called. Adam stopped not because of Laura's voice, but Nurwa who had come out of nowhere.
"Why come here?" adam asked, occasionally turning to Laura who squinted, trying to hear their conversation.
Nurwa smiles. "Said Bu Wanda you work in this school," replied Nurwa soberly. "I was waiting for you a few minutes ago there" he added, pointing to a large tree across the street.
Adam was just a beard, his lips moving faintly signifying understanding.
"Can we talk for a second?" Nurwa was so gentle in her words. It is very different with Laura.
No day without swearing for Laura.
Adam was a little worried, he did not have much time to spend chatting together with Nurwa.
"Not long, just calm down." Nurwa seemed to know Adam's worries.
"Should it be now, Nur?" Adam urged Nurwa's understanding. "How about lunch? Because it's Friday, lunchtime's a little long."
Nurwa shook her head. "Lunch I have to take care of Abah" he said.
Adam squinted his eyes, his forehead slowly wrinkling. "Sick thing?"
"This is what I want to talk about." Nurwa sighed. The unrest can be read by Adam from the look of his beautiful face.
Adam nodded. "What pain?"
"His heart's coming back, Mas." Nurwa's face was filled with anxiety. "I don't know when Abah will leave us all. The doctor said, can only surrender and mengikhlaskan."
Adam felt Nurwa's sadness. That sentence channeled his anxiety.
"So ask Adam to come and talk about marriage." Nurwa could not make small talk. He doesn't have much time.
Adam was silent for a moment.
"That's why I want to get married because I'm old enough to get married" Nurwa explained.
Nurwa looked at Adam with ruffus. "That I want someone to look after me, Adam."
"of course. Your abah is right" Adam continued, nodding his head. "So, Abah, you want to talk and ask me to help you become your marriage guardian?" Adam guessed right away. That's the role that remains.
Nurwa. Suddenly he dropped his eyes, as if ashamed of something.
"Nur?" Adam called her slow. "You're not 'srek' your soul mate?" adam began to wonder.
Nurwa shook her head steadily. "It's not so."
"Want to?" Adam began to wonder.
Nurwa stumped heavy saliva. "She wants us to get married, Adam. Me and you."
Adam's pupils just widened. He was shocked to hear Nurwa's words just now.
"You're the bridegroom, Mas."
