Hell's Charm From My Wife

Hell's Charm From My Wife
16. The Unique Shackle

One week later ....

No one understood how the sky was lost after dripping its load of rain. Everyone thought that the sky was crying because of the sadness she felt, but for Laura she learned one thing. That the rain that falls soaks the earth, is the unwillingness of the heavens to hold it back again.

"Damn it" said Belen suddenly. She stood beside Laura who had just reached out to rain with her palm.

Laura looked at Belen. "Cripple me?"

"Everything" said Belen. "People say you're pregnant with Daffa's child" Belen said.

Laura frowned hearing that. One week she was out of school, Laura lost a lot of news regarding her name.

"Why can people say that?" ask Laura. "They don't have any evidence."

Belen. "Or Almira?" Belen looked at Laura from top to bottom. "He got a confession from Daffa, he said Daffa sought you out this week to find out how your child was in your womb."

"Daffa said that directly?" Laura was curious. The Daffa he knew would not be that stupid.

"Daffa's drunk, as always." Belen grumbling. "Almira was with him that night. So they chat a lot."

Laura laughed instead. "Why do people still believe the talk of drunk people" he murmured. "Even to walk they can't, let alone talk about the truth."

Belen looked at the strange Laura lately. "Forget over Almira" Belen said. "I have a much more interesting question than that to discuss."

Laura began to look at her friend with misgivings. He doesn't have much explanation for his departure this week.

"I only heard from the teacher that you went abroad to visit your sick grandmother and there was a family event there" Belen explained little by little.

Laura mangosteen. "You're right."

"You think I just believe that?" Belen grinning. "I'm your friend, Ra!" Belen embraces Laura. "I know you got to the roots."

Laura is increasingly worried if she has been confronted with Belen about a lie. Belen was right, they knew each other well.

"You don't like to attend family events and meet a lot of people. You always run away when your mama invites you to do that, then why all of a sudden you sacrifice a precious week of time in school ...just for that?" Belen.

Belen smiled faintly. "I think there's something you're hiding, Ra?"

Laura did not reply, she just looked at Belen full of anxiety.

"You still want to lie to me, Ra?"

"Lying with you?" Adam laughed lightly. He sat back in front of Daffa while putting down the young man's book of duties. "There's no reason for me to do that, son."

"Stop calling me 'Son', Mr. Adam." Daffa began to be upset with Adam's calm nature, impressed.

Adam looked. "Then do you want me to call you 'brother' or something?" adam's chuckles. "We're too awkward to be friends, Daffa."

"What is Adam's relationship with Laura?" daffa ignored Adam's words. He did not care about this man's classic joke.

Daffa looked at the question. "Why did you get to Laura's house that night?" tanyakanya. "I'm curious, but since you're on leave for three days, I can't question you."

"You are not polite, Daffa," said Adam in a heavy voice. "If anyone sees ...."

"Working Laura for the past week, must have something to do with your busy life?" tanya Daffa began to suspect.

Adam did not answer, he needed time to think. Laura forbids him to get in touch with his friends. Laura didn't want any trouble after that.

"Why silence, Mr Adam?" ask Daffa to smear. "Is there something between the two of you?"

"He owed my mother a debt" Laura suddenly interrupted. He hoped his arrival was not too late.

Laura walked in. "Mister Adam's mother was papa's old friend. There was business so he came to the house that night," Laura said.

Adam looked at Laura. In her view, Laura had no burden on her lies. As if everything really happened. This girl had even forgotten her grief about the death of her beloved father.

"What business do you have to ask him?" Laura was sniffing at Daffa, she only had hatred for her ex-boyfriend. "It's none of your business."

Daffa got up from his seat. Suddenly grabbing Laura's hand, was about to pull Laura away from this room.

"We need to talk, Ra!" Daffa. "There are so many things I want to ask you!"

Laura refused. "We broke up more than a week ago. Why do you suddenly care about me?"

Laura glanced at Adam, then looked back at Daffa. "I also have to go back to class. Soon the lesson is Mr. Adam."

"We shouldn't be fighting here, you really have no shame?" kekeh Laura's.

Daffa stalling. "Then come with me get out of here!" Daffa pulled his hand back. "I promise it won't be long. I just want—"

"What do you want to talk about?"Laura smiled bitterly. "You threw me away so, why did you take me?"

Daffa glanced at Adam. "Should I tell you why I wanted to talk to you? In front of our teacher?"

Adam leaned his body against the sofa. For a long time she had not seen the puberty youth debate like this. Who would have thought, he saw his wife arguing with her ex-lover. His love story is unique.

"I don't want to talk to you! You don't understand at all?" laura's toilet. "Our relationship is over and I'm closing communication with you. I don't care what happens after that."

"Follow me first and we're talking about this four-eyes!" sahut Daffa began to fall. Her patience was almost put to the test Laura. "You don't want me to tell you why I want to talk to you in front of Mr Adam?"

Laura was silent again.

"If I say it, you can get kicked out of school!" ketus Daffa again.

Adam suddenly laughed. The laughter seized the focus of Daffa and Laura.

"You should be the one who's worried about getting kicked out of school, Daffa" Adam said. He got up from his seat.

Daffa frowned. "It's none of your business, Mr. Adam."

"Of course this is my business, "said Adam. "You're talking about Laura's pregnancy, aren't you?"

Daffa rounded the eye lens when he heard it. "How ... Adam can tell?"

"We met that night, looks like my face is hard to spot?" kekeh Adam mince words.

Daffa's memory was forced back. He looked at Adam's face intently, hoping his memory was intact after this.

Laura started to worry. He relented and withdrew Daffa's hand. "We talk outside. No stranger should interfere!"

Daffa does not criticize, but this is also the goal. Talked to Laura after a week of not seeing her.

Just a few steps away from the room, Adam's heavy voice came back. "I have the right to listen to your talk!"

Daffa stopped the move. Laura inevitably also had to be held in place.

"Why is that?" Daffa. "Because you're a teacher at this school?" chortled.

Adam approached Daffa. He shook his head. "Because I'm Laura's husband, Daffa."
