Hell's Charm From My Wife

Hell's Charm From My Wife
1. Laura hates Jakarta

"Daf, I'm pregnant" said Laura. He repeats for the umpteenth time. "I told you I'm pregnant with your child."

Daffa gave an unexpected response, he smiled as he chuckled. "Are you sure it's my son, Ra?"

The sadness and disappointment in Laura's heart just exploded. He stared blankly at the street that was wet with raindrops tonight.

"We did it, Daffa." Laura insists. "That night ... at the inn had your friend," he added.

Daffa shook his head confidently. "You do it with a lot of men. I know that, Laura. You're a whore."

Laura frowned. He shook his head, speechless.

From tonight, Laura will hate Jakarta. The anger that was stirring in his chest, drew tears that had been surrounded in Laura's eyelids. Her chest ached with relief after she was confident to cry in front of Daffa, her lover.

"You visit every nightclub in Jakarta and meet a lot of men. So now I'm responsible for your pregnancy?" Daffa refuted Laura who kept quiet.

Laura's gaze was unfocused, there was no emotion in the look on her face. His life was shattered after he knew there was life in his stomach. Refusing and fighting against destiny he could no longer do.

"Laura, I can't take responsibility" Daffa said.

Daffa grabbed Laura's hand and held it. "I don't want my life to be ruined and stop here if I marry you."

Laura shed her tears. Heart's hurt. A great blow was given by Daffa through his words. The rain tonight represents the sadness that Laura is experiencing. The sky supports that atmosphere.

"Then what should I do, Daffa?" Laura gave up without a debate.

Laura's been quite frustrated since noon. A pregnancy test made her regret the act.

"Just drop it, Laura. We started everything from the beginning" the young man asked. "Whether it's my son or not, I don't care. We can't get married, Laura."

Laura pushed Daffa's body away from her. "This is your son, Daffa! I swear on God!"

"Even God will not forgive and accept your oath, Laura!" Daffa immediately replied. The turmoil in his heart was no less great than Laura's.

Daffa approached Laura again, slowly. "Laura, listen to me ...." He tried to melt the madness in Laura's heart. "I know how you feel tonight, I know the situation."

"Then marry me, Daffa. I need some accountability from you." Laura looked at him in the shade. Puddles of tears within his eyelids, making the shadow of Daffa that was in front of him half blurred.

Daffa. "We're still in high school, Laura." Daffa reiterated. Her eagle eyes blocked Laura in place. "We have to go to college, we still have dreams, and we can still do a lot of things out there. Bottom line .. We're young."

"You don't want to be responsible?" Laura quickly concluded. "You coward!"

"I'll take responsibility if we're old enough to get married, Laura." Daffa continued to persuade Laura. "At least let me go to the university I dreamed of."

"Then how am I?" Laura was like a dazed person in front of Daffa. His eyes were unfocused at one point, occasionally staring at Daffa and then out onto the streets in front of him.

"My father and mother will kill me" Laura muttered trembling. "I'd die at their hands if I knew I was pregnant."

Laura turned body. Backing the clumsy Daffa in its place. Daffa had no way out of Laura's problem. Before, he deserved to be relied upon.

"We never should have done that, Daffa," Laura continued to worry.

The girl with long curls bit one by one her fingernails. He was almost crazy with all the bad possibilities that were inside his head. In fact, Laura and Daffa never got the blessing of Laura's parents.

Daffa is the son of the poor. His life is falling apart, not necessarily direction and purpose. Daffa's parents divorced five years ago, after his mother caught Daffa's father's affair with a young girl.

Ah, it may be true that the fruit does not fall far from the tree. Daffa followed in the footsteps of his father's misery.

"Laura," called Daffa while pulling Laura's hand. The beautiful girl looked at him again.

"Go home first. Later I—"

"You want me to go home, Daff?" Laura squinted her eyes. Can't believe Daffa just explained this. "What do you think will happen to me if I see my mom and dad?"

"Your stomach hasn't grown yet, Laura." Daffa tried wisely. "It's been five weeks, right?" tanya Daffa confirmed.

Laura stayed in her place, no objection.

"Before two months, I'll find a safe abortion place and—"

"I don't want to be aborted!" Laura screamed in disobedience. "How many times have I told you, I'm scared!"

"I'll protect you and I'll be by your side, Laura." Daffa kept trying to convince Laura, just like that night. Daffa's gaze now, brought back Laura's memories of such an exciting night for them.

Daffa closed his eyes. "Sorry for yelling at you again, Ra."

"Tell me if you don't want to take responsibility and run away as a coward, Daffa." Laura wiped her tears. "You were like that a long time ago."

Daffa looked at Laura. "So parents aren't easy, Ra. I'm not from a rich family."

"Mama and papa are going to help us" Laura said. "They will pay for all my life. You just need to ...."

"I don't like your parents, Laura." Daffa began to blunt.

Laura was instantly silent, as if her heart had been hit back by a huge rock.

"Every time I come to your house, your parents always look down on me because I'm not the same as you" Daffa said. "Then you want me to depend on your parents after we get married?"

Daffa laughed crazily in his own words, while Laura was still silent in her place. Unbelieving, tonight Daffa showed a terrible side to him.

Laura smiled wryly. "You are indeed a bastard, Daffa," whispered Laura with a blank look. "I shouldn't have loved you in the first place."

"Laura, I just want the best for us." Daffa showed no guilty look. "This is for our future, Ra."

Daffa again pulled Laura's hand and grabbed it. "We've got a future, and this kid hasn't."

"We can't give up our future just for a child we can't guarantee he'll be born safe" Daffa said. "So let him go, Laura."

Laura slapped Daffa over the sentence. His eyes filled with anger and protest at him.

"Thank God if you refuse him tonight, Daffa. You won't deserve to be a father!" Laura clenched her hands. "You crazy psychopath!"

"You look like your fucking father!" After finishing her sentence, Laura left before Daffa.

Unfortunately, Daffa stopped Laura. Pulling his hand violently. "What did you say?" ask Daffa in anger.

"How dare you compare me to him!" his screeches. "You're the cheap one, Laura!" shouted Daffa replied to Laura. The slap landed on Laura's cheek just like that. Makes Laura slam.

"Hey, you! What are you doing!" Someone suddenly stopped Daffa. He came from the darkness of the night, lashing the rain that fell.

Laura looked at him, as well as Daffa.

"He ...." Laura mumbled softly. "The face ...."
