"Drink." Laura offered Adam a bottle of mineral water. However, Adam flinched for quite a while.
Ignoring Laura who was standing in front of him. The man looked the other way, avoiding eye contact with his ex-wife.
Laura sighed. He is forced to pull Adam's hand and force him to receive his mineral water.
Laura sat down beside Adam, slightly split. "Where did Adam know I was here?"
"Shouldn't Adam have gone to teach?" Laura glanced at her watch. "It's work hours."
Adam did not answer. He busied himself by opening the mineral water that Laura had bought for him.
"Did you?" ask Laura again. He just remembered that only Belen knew about this matter.
Laura did not get an answer.
"Ck, the bucket's mouth." Laura clucking. "Well, if you meet."
Adam just glanced at Laura, then smiled faintly and began to gulp down the white water to wet his dry throat.
It's true, Belen told Adam this morning. The girl came panting, saying that something bad had happened to Laura. In fact, Belen said if Adam was one second late, he would not be able to meet Laura forever.
Funny thing is, Adam still believes in the words of Belen who likes to exaggerate facts.
"Fucking Daffa." Laura suddenly nodded. "Away from the police station, I'll terrorize him."
Laura grumbled in her place while playing her fingertips.
"I'll come to his house every day, send rat carcasses, chicken blood, witch dolls, spells for misfortune, and ...."
Laura stuck her foot to the ground.
Suddenly, Adam choked. The man did not think that Laura could curse with a tone of speech and a face that was so scary.
"Laura?" Adam finally opened his voice. Laura looked over as soon as she was called. "How can you curse and swear so badly when you're pregnant?"
Laura's quiet. He opened his eyes.
"What if bad words are bad for our children?" Adam protested. "The word of the Javanese ...."
"I'm a Jakarta man." Laura cut. "Not the Javanese."
Adam remained silent.
Laura leaned her body. Adam's face with a scratch beside his left eye. That was the impact of his brutal fight with Daffa.
"Sir Adam hasn't answered my question." Laura repeated. "Who told Mr. Adam that I was here?"
Adam slurped. Belen gave her advice not to mention her name when Laura asked that.
Adam took a breath. "Is that more important than how we get out of this?"
"The most important thing now is how we can deal with this problem, Laura." Adam put the drinking water by his side. "I'll find a lawyer for you."
"I can solve my own problems." Laura refused. He retracted his position as before, moving away from Adam.
Laura chimed. "Don't I ever tell Mr. Adam not to interfere in my affairs again?" tanyakanya. "Sir Adam agreed too."
Adam again took a breath. "Laura, this is my responsibility."
"When it comes to this pregnancy, I haven't decided anything yet." Laura. "I have not yet decided whether or not you gave birth to her. Mr. Adam doesn't have to worry until I make a decision."
The two look at each other.
"Laura, have you ever thought about how your parents feel?" ask Adam.
Laura became quiet when she talked about her parents. At that time, the storm was so big in her life that Laura did not want to remember a second of memories that happened at that time.
"Why did it suddenly heat up?" Laura grumbling. "Nothing to do with mom and dad."
"You doubt me?" Adam doesn't care about Laura's protests. "Then that means you're doing your papa's choice."
Laura's down. He did not dare to give an answer.
"Do you still think that your papa just chose a man so that you have someone to look after?" Adam kept urging Laura to come to her senses. "I know I'm old. I'm ancient. I'm not as romantic as a teenager your age, and I'm boring."
"Who said it?" muttered Laura. He protested Adam's notion of himself.
Adam frowned after hearing it. "What did you say?" ask Adam to pretend he didn't hear.
Laura shook her head. "Nothing." He looked at Adam again. "Anyways, I can finish this on my own. Mr. Adam doesn't have to interfere."
Laura moved out of her seat. He turned to Adam who was now resigned, without a sound anymore.
"Sir Adam can go back to school. I'm gonna ditch you today" Laura said later. "I don't have any obligation to go to school anymore. Just wait for the test scores and pass."
Laura smiled at Adam who did not respond. "I go first" said Laura. He turned away from Adam then.
Adam sighed looking at Laura's back that was moving away from him. There's no other choice, Adam's gone from there. He walked in the opposite direction to Laura.
Amidst the footsteps, Laura did not hear the sound of footsteps following her. He fell silent and muttered, "Sir Adam didn't follow?"
Laura turned. Unfortunately, he saw the figure of Adam had moved away from him. His broad back was gone after he turned the corner of the police station hallway.
"He's really gone?" laura grumbled while clucking in annoyance. "Well! You are insensitive!"
