13. Laura's Wedding

Laura and Adam's Wedding.

Laura did not expect that she would be stuck in a marriage with a man she had just met a few days ago. Adam made a sacred promise, in front of his father who was lying weakly on a hospital bed.

Nothing could help her, Laura like giving herself up in a life that would hold her back from today.

"Well!" Penghulu utters the life-changing sentence of Laura. She is no longer a High School girl, who is free to go anywhere. Laura is Adam Dhanurendra's husband.

Laura's eyes can't lie, sadness shackles her happiness. Sincerity he did not get, even though his single status was at stake.

Adam looked at Laura. "Everything will be fine" she whispered to Laura. Adam's hand destroyed a bit of his anxiety.

Desi looked at her daughter. Who would have thought, Laura followed in the footsteps of Desi getting married at a young age. The difference is, Desi and Faishal are bound in love from the beginning.

Laura looked at herself in the mirror of the hospital bathroom. "Even get married I don't wear makeup" Laura grumbled.

Laura was upset, marriage seemed to be something that was extended in her life.

The sound of the door being opened, one stranger walked in ignoring himself just like that. Adam was not far away. He stopped looking at Laura who was staring at him.

"You seem upset" Adam said with a smile. "I guess you're a lot more relieved, because you agreed to this marriage."

Laura turned her body, as Adam stood beside her, pretending to wash his hands.

"I'm happy?" Laura protested. "Can you say I'm happy?"

"I'm just guessing, Laura," Adam replied.

Adam is not the kind of guy who talks a lot. He is known to be quiet who does not like to make small talk. Nurwa must have understood that. But not for Laura.

"If you were me, would you say you're happy?" Laura tried to change her position. "It's like just yesterday you were in a high school uniform" Laura said. He smiled a smile. "Now I'm wearing a wedding ring" Laura said, showing off the ring on her finger.

Adam just smiled faintly. "More suitable for your fingers."

"I'm serious!" Laura grunted in annoyance. "I can't wear it if I go to school."

Adam did not reply, he just glanced at Laura, continuing his activities.

"You want to ban me?" laura asked a little annoyed. "You said yourself that I can still go to school. Nothing will change."

Adam closed the water tap. Now the focus is only on Laura. "of course. As long as your belly hasn't grown, everyone won't know if you're married and pregnant from your boyfriend's child."

Laura was slapped with Adam's disdainful way of speaking. He has a strange character for Laura. If you say Adam was a bad guy, he should have wasted Laura. Adam helped Laura's life indirectly.

"Mama Desi told me to stay home for a few days" Adam said. "But I refuse."

Laura frowned. "Don't tell me you asked me to stay at your house?" He immediately shook his head firmly. "I don't want to live in your house!"

"You are my wife and it's fitting that you—"

"Should we get divorced today?" Laura cut Adam's sentence firmly. "I don't like being arranged. Nor can I suddenly leave the house and move to your place."

Adam smears his salivary. All this time he only faced the attitude of Nurwa, who was only angry when criticized about his cooking. Laura had another rebellion.

Adam took a breath. "So we have to stay at home surgery?"

Laura walked up to Adam, straddling in front of him. "You expect us to do the first night or something?" The girl laughed satisfied. "I've done that with my boyfriend. You're not the first man."

"I give it three days, use it to pack up and say goodbye to your mama." Adam ignored Laura's words.

Adam continued. "This week, I'll pick you up and we'll stay at my house."

"I don't want to stay—"

"Should I ask this in front of your father?" Adam had a threat Laura could not resist. This marriage was based on his father's will. Laura couldn't hurt her father.

Laura grunted in annoyance. "I don't want to!" He still refused. "Never want to, yes don't want to!"

"I'm your husband, Laura. It's appropriate that you come with me" said Adam firmly. "I don't like any objection."

Laura replied, Adam turned away from her face. He left Laura grumbling in his place.

"Curtain, goddamn men!"

"Laura didn't come in." Belen said, this is the umpteenth time. "You don't believe anymore?"

Daffa looked into the classroom. "Have you ever been honest?"

"He has no news. His phone is dead and his house is empty" Belen replied again. "I don't know where he is either. No word from him, he just disappeared."

Daffa looked at Belen suspiciously. Belen showed absolutely no panic in him. Belen is not good at lying, he is always caught off guard at the beginning of the conversation when he is lying.

"Should I believe your lies again, Bel?" Daffa. "I just wanted to meet Laura. I want to talk to him. There's a lot we have to talk about since the last meeting."

"Laura said that you guys broke up." Belen. "Laura said that she doesn't want to see you anymore. So don't push and just live your life."

Daffa looked at Belen. "Laura told you that she broke up with me for something?"

Belen frowned. "I'm actually suspicious of you two. Lately Laura's been avoiding me, seeming to be covering something up."

Daffa immediately turned his eyes away. Of course he didn't want to tell me what was going on. It's impossible if she says that Laura is pregnant with her child right now.

"Then thank you. I will find out myself" said Daffa closing his sentence.

Daffa was about to leave in front of Belen, but the girl prevented him. "Tell me, what secrets are you hiding?"

Daffa initially refused to budge. He wanted to continue the footsteps so as not to regret his decision to ask Belen.

"Laura is not as usual. He even avoided us all. Refuse to play with us and spend the money as usual" said Belen. "I'm sure it's no ordinary matter between you guys."

Daffa allowed his view. "Ask yourself Laura. You're his best friend."

Belen approached Daffa. "Something happened, didn't it?" Belen is still strong. "Laura never bothered about relationships."

"Laura will let go of the man who burdened her" Belen added. Belen looked suspiciously at Daffa. "Unless something ties him."

Daffa stoned his saliva. "Why look at me like that?"

"You ... impregnating Laura?"
