Two weeks later.

It initially became something foreign to Laura when she opened her eyes and saw the dining table full of various kinds of food menu, but over time she began to get used to it.

Adam did all this for two whole weeks. Laura never wanted to ban him, nor scold him. Laura knew it would be for nothing. Adam is a stubborn man.

"Laura!" Belen's voice came from the emblem of the door that was quickly opened when the girl barged in.

"Why are you?" asked Laura casually. He sat down in front of the dining table, starting to pick up the breakfast menu he wanted.

Belen stared at the dining table in front of him. Laura lives alone, but the food menu is much more complete than in her home.

"Sir Adam prepared all this." Laura seemed to know Belen's head. "Would you like to eat too?" ask again.

Laura knocked on the side of the table in front of her. "Sit. We'll go to school together."

"There's something I said to you." Belen pulled the chair in front of him. I sat down with Laura. "It's about Daffa."

Laura nodded her head. "Said he was going out of town. Not going to college in Jakarta."

"Not that!" Belen kicked down the dining table in front of him. "It's really hot news!"

Laura who was about to put a mouthful of rice into her mouth, froze just like that. Belen has been the culprit of gossip lately. He just kept bringing gossip after gossip coming from his friends.

"Say," said Laura. "If it's not hot news, watch out."

"Daffa reported to the police." Belen summarized his explanation. He looked at the surprised Laura after hearing the sentence from her.

Laura put the spoon in her grasp. "Don't worry, why was he suddenly arrested by the police?"

"I knew that Daffa was a bastard. However, he would not do anything to harm himself." Laura tried to justify it, even though she knew nothing about Daffa lately.

Laura just focused on her own life, thinking about how to handle this pregnancy so that she still went abroad to continue her studies. Laura does not want her dream to stop in Jakarta, she does not want to waste her intelligence and destroy her life more than this.

"Daffa was caught doing drug dealing." Belen was silent for a moment, before finally returning to continue. "I didn't get the whole story, but it was quite shocking to some people at school."

Laura responded casually, before she finally smiled sweetly. "Leave it then. He must bear the consequences himself."

Belen did not obey Laura's words, he continued his sentence. "Your name is involved too."

Laura spewed back the water in her mouth. He choked hearing that.

"What do you mean?" laura began to panic. "My name's involved?" ask again. Laura confirmed what she had just heard. "Don't fret!"

"I don't care!" Belen grumbling. "You think I came all the way here this early in the morning just to talk?" ask Belen upset. "Or did I come here just to report Daffa?"

Belen laughed a grin. "I don't even care if he gets hit by a truck once. Why do I care if he's in jail or not" Belen murmured.

"That's why I didn't agree to you going out with him in the first place!" Belen. "He's the devil!"

Laura did not answer. He just kept quiet, breathing out a few times. The meal napsu has gone.

"How am I involved?" ask Laura again. "I've never even ...." Laura was silent as she realized something.

Belen and Laura looked at each other. Both of them were silent for quite a while, presumably guessing at each other's thoughts.

"Daffa knows my ATM pin and he's holding my old ATM card." Laura concluded. "He's still using that for his transactions?"

Belen clucked while rubbing his face. He pointed at Laura's face with the tip of the fork. "That's why you're so stupid when you love!" peekik Belen's.

"How can I imagine this happening?" Laura shouted. "That card I haven't used in a long time. So I was thinking of lending it to Daffa for his needs."

"You fool, Laura!" Belen kept pressing. "Truly stupid!"

Laura clucked violently. "Ck, that one fucking rat!"

They had not yet finished the conversation, Laura's cell phone rang. The girl turned her head and looked towards the screen of her phone. The combination of unidentified numbers made him a bit of a fret, but there was no other option to answer the call.

"Hello?" Laura started the conversation.

"Is this really Miss Laura Mentari?" A man's voice recalls from across the phone. Laura did not immediately reply, she glanced at Belen who also fell silent.

"It's from the police." The man returned. Her statement caused panic in the hunt for Laura.

"Where is this?" laura whispered to Belen while keeping the phone away from her. "I don't want to see the police."

"Miss Laura Mentari, can you still hear me?"

Laura sighed, biting her lips in fear. He's never been in contact with the police in his entire life.

"You were called to the police station as a witness to an illegal transaction case from the Daffa brothers. Please come to the office. We'll wait two hours from now." The man gave a little push. "If you don't come within the allotted time, we'll be forced to pick you up, Miss Laura Mentari."

Laura rubbed her face in frustration as the call closed just like that. He looked towards Belen who could only shake his head.

"Where is this?" ask Laura. "I don't want to see the police."

Belen thought quite hard, before he finally snapped a finger. "We need to ask for help."

"Who's the guy?" Laura snorted ketus. "Your parents must have refused to help. My aunt? Her husband would be furious. They moved to the village because they avoided me."

Belen shook his head. "Sir Adam!"
