133. (Not) The Idle Man

Laura stared at the reflection of her face reflection from the mirror in front of her. He muttered lightly then. "Why do I feel guilty?"

Wanda had indeed left her house, but the memory of the woman's words still lingered clearly inside Laura's head. It was as if the figure of the woman was in front of him.

"I'm not wrong at all, am I?" ask him to yourself. "I'm just trying to express my heart. It's only natural that I ...."

Geck! Geck! Geck!

The sound of knocking on the door blew Laura's focus. The girl immediately turned her head to the doorway, walking then.

"Who?"

Laura opened the door. He was surprised to find Adam standing at the door. The man even greeted him so graciously, the horse's smile showing off his neat teeth.

"You're loose today aren't you?" Adam immediately went at the talking point, while Laura nodded her head confidently.

"What if I'm loose today?" The girl examined Adam's appearance. Neat and stylish, just like a man who would ask his girlfriend out. However, it was too late to do so after all that had happened.

Laura sighed. "I'm busy" he said. "I pulled my nod earlier."

"I just came to ask you to check the contents." Adam answered. "As I promised. I'll finance everything."

Laura was not in touch at all. He should be happy to have this kind of support. He just had to abort his contents and it was all done. There will be no more stories between him and Adam. However, I don't know what storm just woke her up from her sleep ... Laura was hesitating.

"Why silence?" Adam said again. "I'm waiting for you to get ready" he said again. "I'll wait for you in the car."

Adam did not wait for Laura's answer. He just turned away leaving the girl, but Laura prevented him.

"Wait!" Laura looked at Adam and set her eyes on the car parked in front of her yard. "That's Adam's car?" ask Laura. He can't just believe it.

Adam mangosteen. "Hm. Is something wrong?" She was plain-faced now, pretending not to recognize the confusion on Laura's face.

"Sir Adam bought a car?" Laura couldn't believe it. "Suddenly?" ask again. He's a little stuttering. "T-but how could it?"

Adam chuckles amusedly. "Past get ready. I'm waiting in the car." The man did not answer Laura's words. He turned and left.

Laura could only be stunned in silence. He looked on in disbelief at Adam's departure now. "Well! That guy is really amazingly confusing!"

Almost 30 minutes walk, but Adam had seen Laura so beautiful with her clothes. She thought maybe Laura was just picking up a bag or something, but the fact of the matter was that waiting for a woman to dress up was no easy feat. Patience is at stake here.

Laura tapped on the windshield of the car which made Adam immediately turn to her. The girl opened the door and got into the car.

"Well! Is this really Adam's car?" Laura looked around. Fragrant car smell, all neatly arranged. This is the typical Adam.

Laura's staring. "Why suddenly buy a car? Adam just got the jackpot?"

"That's not what I'm asking." Laura looked at him with jelly. "Why suddenly buy a car? No wind no rain, what's the reason?"

"You are the son of a rich man. However, you were surprised when you got in someone's car?" Adam teased Laura with his silly smile. "You're also confused when someone buys a car?"

Laura grunts. "It's not so!" He's a little upset. "Sir Adam was just an unfixed teacher. Adam's new teacher has moved to school." Laura looked at the entire car.

"Although this is a used car, but the price must be hundreds of millions, right?" ask Laura. "I'm not sure if Mr. Adam could ...."

Laura was silent as Adam looked at her in silence. The man did not say anything, but Laura felt guilty. Maybe he was exaggerating in discussing Adam's economy.

"I mean ...." The girl was wrong with her own behavior. "Ah, stop! Just walk away." Laura pulled the seatbelt and tightened it. He sat up neatly while folding his hands.

Adam just smiled sweetly. Nod the head in favor of Laura's orders. After the car engine was turned on, Adam's car drove at a speed that was splitting the streets of Jakarta.

"Where are we going, by the way?" Laura finally opened her voice after a silence stretched for a few seconds. Once he glanced at Adam, then tried to shift his gaze.

Adam took a breath. "Hospital. I told you I wanted to check your contents. You just follow."

"If it's about aborting the contents ...." Laura added with doubt. "I've found a hospital that can do it. So ...."

"I just want to check on her condition." Adam said while slowing down the speed of his car. A bright red light flashed in front of them.

Adam looked at Laura and vice versa. "Just check."

"Sir Adam thought that after I found out that this boy was doing well I'd rethink to abort him?" Laura simply said the contents of her head, without wanting to care how much it hurt Adam.

Laura smiled in anguish. "That won't change my mind at all, Mr. Adam. It'll just be for nothing."

"I don't forbid to abort it, do I?" Adam says. "If that's what you want, we'll drop it, but not for now."

Laura frowned.

"As you know, I just bought a car" Adam said. "The money to abort the contents is no longer there."

Adam laughed a little later. He rubbed the top of Laura's head which looked at him in annoyance.

"I had to raise more money to be able to abort her, Laura," she said. "Attacking content is not cheap, right? I have no money now."

Laura squinted her eyes. "Sell the car."

"I don't want to" replied Adam. "Like you have a stand, I'll have a stand."

"Wait for me to save again and we'll drop the contents, Laura. I promise," Adam said. It's weird, Laura's playing games now.
