116. One Night Mistakes

Laura waited all night for news from Adam, but the man did not preach it. Anxiety began to rage when dawn came. Laura checked her phone, but there was no notification from Adam as she wished.

"He forgot his promise" Laura grumbled. He threw a large crackle bag filled with garbage into his barrel. "I shouldn't have waited for the promise of a man like him, I ended up being annoyed myself."

Laura was about to move out of her place, she was about to enter the house. The week was not as beautiful as usual, initially Laura was waiting for Adam's arrival. Unfortunately, the man lost his news. Laura is too proud to tell first.

"Laura?"

As if indeed the soul mate was in the hands of God, it was now standing in front of Laura. The expected Adam finally showed his nose.

Laura smiled as a smile. "Sir Adam why didn't you tell me last night?" The girl grumbled softly in her question.

"I'm waiting for news from Mr. Adam" said Laura. He waited for Adam to approach him. "Everything's okay, isn't it?"

Adam stood in front of Laura, looking at the girl in an unusual way. From the look on her face, a strange expression was found by Laura this morning.

"Not okay?" The girl shook her head, trying to conclude. "Why is Adam's facial expression so?"

Adam showed no pleasure. He hid the problem from the way he looked at Laura.

"I came to get my belt" said Adam. He ignored Laura's question. "Also penaku's. I hung him yesterday. Maybe it fell when I took off my clothes."

Laura nodded her head. While cleaning his room, he found two things that Adam mentioned.

"I took care of it" answered Laura. "Want me to get it?" tanyakanya.

Adam was about to leave in front of Laura, but the girl prevented him. The two looked at each other, many times Laura discovered the strangeness of Adam's attitude this morning through his way of staring.

"What's this Adam's brother?" ask again. Laura nodded quickly. "I'm not wrong about anything, am I?"

Slowly Adam let go of Laura's hand. "I'm sorry, Laura. I was wrong."

"Why apologize?" Laura frowned, not understanding. "Sir Adam was not wrong. Why should I apologize?" reworked.

Adam took a breath. She improved her way of standing up, looking at Laura properly so that their conversation would be more comfortable.

"I shouldn't have done that to you last night." Adam spoke a little doubtfully. "That's my fault."

"Laura, listen to me carefully." Adam looked at her intensely. "Let's end this."

Laura's heart was like being hit by a big rock. No wind no rain, this is how love feels one night.

"Sir Adam ...."

"I was wrong. I have desecrated you without marriage" Adam said. "I know, apologizing in any way won't bring it all back."

Laura continued to shake her head, once her eyes blinked to avoid tears falling just like that. Hearing Adam's words, his heart was completely wounded.

"What's this Adam's brother?" Laura took Adam's hand. "We parted fine yesterday, I didn't do anything wrong either."

"Sir Adam!" Laura whining.

"Let's end this" said Adam. Once again, he let go of Laura's hand. "Let's not see each other first, both improve in their own ways."

Laura could not hold back her tears. It hurts a lot more than before. He had hoped for a lot though in just one night.

Laura shook her head, she frowned. "It's all because of Nurwa?" tanyakanya. "What really happened yesterday? Why did Adam suddenly come and change like this?"

"Nothing's happened, Laura." Adam kept lying. "This is a mistake."

Laura wiped her tears. He's trying hard. "So .. I mean Mr. Adam what we did last night was a mistake?"

Adam nodded his head.

"Sir Adam regretted it?" ask Laura again. "Sir Adam regretted sleeping with me?"

Adam's beard again. He's down. "I'm sorry, Laura."

Laura dives in sadness. Her tears are getting louder and louder. He's gathering hatred for Adam this time. His heart was completely wounded, immeasurably.

"Bondage," murmured Laura amidst her teardrops.

"Right, I'm a bastard." Adam admitted. "I'm sorry, Laura. I was wrong."

Laura smacked Adam's field chest, pushing his body away. "Go from here! I don't want to see Adam again!" He kept whining. "I don't want to see Adam again!"

Adam could only follow him. He didn't give any resistance. The man left after seeing Laura crouch down while hiding her face from her sobs.

"Fuck!" yelled Laura again. "Fuck Adam's brother!"

Adam heard. Laura's words sounded so painful to her heart. But what can he do? It was the right decision until Adam could get his life in order again. Laura must not be involved in anything about her mistakes with Nurwa.
