Mini dress is the way Laura expresses her youth. Jakarta never forbids a young girl to go at night with minimal clothing, it becomes a trend in the middle of the dense metropolitan city.
Laura kept her promise. He came on time, according to his words there was Bayu last afternoon. The cinema of the city is the goal, a movie is waiting for Laura in there.
Laura walked alone, passing through the crowd on the sidewalk. The panorama of Jakarta never disappoints, it is always fascinating to look at.
"Ouch!"
Laura turned towards the source of a. An old woman almost fell when she hit a man who was walking in the opposite direction.
"Sorry, Mom." The man bowed, acting courteously like a young person to an older person. "I didn't intentionally."
Laura scrunched the corner of her eyes, trying to guess who the man was. "Wait, why is his stature not foreign?" murmured Laura alone. "I think I know him."
Laura's footsteps turned around. He walked over to the man who was still busy picking up the belongings of the old woman who had fallen due to being hit by him unhappily.
"Sir Adam?" Laura started to recognize him as she walked closer. The crowd passed by, blocking his sight.
Adam looked. Unfortunately, he was caught off guard by Laura.
"What's Adam doing here?" laura asked as she stared at Adam's appearance from top to bottom. Obviously, he did not just come back from work. Adam's appearance was more relaxed.
Adam bowed once to the old woman, letting her go later.
"I ...." Adam focused on Laura. "I'm gonna go get dinner." He's grounded. His eyes scoured every corner of the street, trying to find his fake destination.
Laura frowned. "Eating place?" ask Laura. She added. "Pak Adam's house has more restaurants than here."
Laura's right. These streets are more cafe buildings and such. Restaurants that stand only provide foreign food, such as Japanese or Korean food that has been adapted to the tongue of the Indonesian people.
"I'm going there." Adam pointed to one of the cafes standing right in front of the cinema hall where Laura was headed.
Adam smiled at Laura. "Say the cafe had good Japanese food" he added. "I like eating Ramen."
"Ramen from Korea." Laura nodded with her innocent face.
Adam remained silent. He's getting clumsy. The man scratched at the nape of his neck, while his eyes looked unsettled.
"Eum ...." He bit his lower lip. "You're right. I like Korean food. Ramen."
Laura grinned thinly. "Actually Ramen from Japan."
Laura was playing Adam. He enjoyed it so much.
Adam was silent again. He was like a fool in front of Laura. Adam's goal was to follow Laura. She had been following Laura ever since the girl came out of her house. Adam had guessed that Laura would dress like this.
Adam was worried.
Adam took a breath. "I'm going to the cafe." He's capitulating. "Eat anything there."
Laura lowered her head, hiding a smile. Adam is old, he deserves to be Laura's uncle. But her behavior is so adorable. Especially if caught lying.
"Sir Adam followed me, didn't he?" I asked Laura suddenly.
Adam stunned. Laura is indeed the type of girl who 'ceplas-ceplos' when talking.
Laura sighed, straddling in front of Adam. "Where is Mr Adam most worried about, me or this kid?" laura asked, pointing at her stomach.
Adam was silent for a moment. He looked at Laura carefully.
"No need to worry about both. I've grown up" added Laura again, impatiently waiting for an answer from Adam.
Laura approached Adam and patted him on the shoulder, as if talking to his friend. "I've told you how many times, I don't like to be worried about Mr. Adam."
"I'm a big boy, I'll be a college kid soon. I was free" said Laura. "I don't need to be followed like this. I can take care of myself."
"Just go home. Don't bother me." Laura's interrupting. "I'm embarrassed to see Mr. Adam here."
"Why are you ashamed?" ask Adam to answer. "I look good and ...."
"That's not what I meant." Laura answered lazily. Her face had shown dislike since earlier. He's feeling distracted.
"I'm ashamed to have married a parent." Laura chimed again. "Honestly, it's a disgrace to me."
Adam remained silent. Laura had given a shot, which hit her heart.
"Can Adam come home?" ask Laura again. "I beg you, don't disturb my night."
Laura looked around him. "I'm a young man and Mr. Adam is a parent" Laura said. He looked at Adam again. "Wouldn't people misunderstand me thinking I was being stalked by my uncle?"
Adam could not answer, Laura spoke again. "It's too old."
"Laura. You're pregnant and you're out all night all alone like this, in the middle of town and you're going to be the same guy." Adam tried to explain.
Laura nodded her head. However, from the look on his face, he showed indifference. "Want to?" ask Laura. "Should I go home, study, or watch television?" She laughs. "That's why Mr. Adam is so old-fashioned! We really don't fit in!"
Surprisingly, Laura was hurt with her own sentence when she accidentally said that. He's too last night. Initially, Laura just wanted to show protest over Adam's treatment of her first. However, he was too overrated.
Adam was silent, and so was Laura. The two look at each other.
"My account is ...." Laura was about to justify her sentence. However, he gave up. "Ah, stop! I just want Mr. Adam gone. I'm going to meet Bayu!"
Laura turned away without waiting for Adam to speak.
Adam smiled faintly as he looked at Laura leaving. "He's so weird."

Laura glanced at her watch, almost too late. All because of Adam who appeared suddenly. In between her footsteps, Laura saw Bayu standing next to the movie theater, in the middle of the darkness.
"Why didn't he come in?" muttered Laura. "He's waiting for me?" Laura smiled sweetly. He quickened his footsteps. "Better with Bayu, than the old man Mr. Adam."
Laura frowned when she found Bayu talking to her two friends. He stopped, calling Bayu. However, whispers rang out in Laura's ears. Someone included his name in their conversation.
"After watching, take him to bed at the hotel."
Laura chose to hide behind the pillars of the building. He ignored the people who were looking at him strangely.
"If you've asked her, how much will it cost?" answer Bayu. "You want to raise the bet?" kekeh Bayu again.
His friend patted Bayu's shoulder. "You are great! Laura used to turn you down, now you can take her to an adult movie."
Laura frowned, she hurried to pick up the ticket inside her bag. "Adult movies?" Laura patted the eel after reading the information of the movie she was about to watch.
"We'll raise the offer if you can take him to the hotel and strip him naked" his friend Bayu cheered. "Send the picture to us and you win the bet!"
Laura squeezed the ticket in her grasp. "Living mother," murmured Laura as she made her vow.
"The rest is up to you. You can play**** with him or throw him out on the street after he rejected you outright."
Bayu chuckles. "What can one expect from a widow?" ask Bayu. "He was someone else. He's cheap."
Laura couldn't stand it. He moved from his place, about to approach Bayu. Suddenly Adam interrupted his footsteps. He precedes Laura, and instantly pulls Bayu out of the darkness of the night.
"Sir Adam!"
It was too late, Adam gave a punch right in Bayu's face. Once again, Adam had provoked a ruckus in favor of the selfless Laura.
